Wow, that was so precious and adorable. You have a way for heart-felt emotions that never crosses into the realm of cheesy. It is truly admirable, and makes me get a little teary every time. (Since I'm at work, this is occasionally inconvenient, but...oh so worth it!)
Lovs it.
Rikayu (Chapter 16) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! It's only holding hands, but even such a small thing is big in their progress towards love! XD
I can seriously do more than wag my finger at Hojo! No wonder why Sesshoumaru dislikes Tokyo-folk. I'm glad that Kagome spoke up and defended her husband :D
Also, the little dialogue between Sesshoumaru and Kagome as Sess was carrying her back to Shiraito was very cute! You never disappoint when it comes to tiny fluffy moments!
fatcatmom (Chapter 15) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
Hooray!
let's see what hojo says if and when everyone gets back home. He'll look at her ankle and make some lame remarks. I can't believe they 'lost' her.
Ruriame (Chapter 15) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
Their morning is so full of awkward. Nice going, Hojo, with your stupid phrasing with IMPLICATION.
Oh, my! Drama for sure! I love how she hoped you wouldn’t sound crazy but she did. Conveniently assumed he was joking. I love Sesshomaru lines!
The defining of home was really powerful in this chapter. I kind of wish I didn’t catch up again because now I have to wait for the next chapter. But as usual, I know it’ll be worth it :)
hola (Chapter 15) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
p.s. i retract my previous statement about hojo being almost likeable in this....... i.... i dont know what i was thinking. :P
p.p.s. i really have to stop reading this fic when i'm hungry.
Yohko (Chapter 15) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
Nice! I love moments in stories I read when the main characters starts to fall in love. Really great. :D
Ruriame (Chapter 14) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
News of Kouga, Ayame, Miroku, and Sango? You’re talented at getting the gang together and making the story filled with this community-oriented feeling.
It always is either a good or bad thing when people say you changed. Of course Hojo makes it both. I really liked the mini paragraph you wrote about the conversation going to wrong way at a certain mile speed and what came after. Nice imagery there and very fitting for the situation. It adds to how fast things are going and how Kagome must be thinking like that as well. And it’s also an idea that I’m familiar with because I’ve had a feeling like that before.
Hojo is asking her so many hard questions. It gives Kagome a lot to think about.
And OF COURSE Sesshoumaru had to see the hug. Gosh darn it. At least I can read the next chapter, though ^_^V
hola (Chapter 15) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
awww!!! gosh, i feel all gooey and squishy inside now. :) sesshy is just a lil softie, aint he? he got really freaked out there for a sec! but, after her ankle recovers, she deserves a nice romantic stroll down that path- in broad daylight, without a cloud i the sky, and a cute little paper umbrella! *sigh* too adorable? oh wells. yay hugs!! :)
Ruriame (Chapter 13) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
Hojo’s confident and not shy and awkward. Ohhh boy. I sense big problems here...
Ooooh, someone’s jealous. Kagome may be his wife, but he was just thinking to himself one or two chapters ago about how she wasn’t really his...of course in the heat of this moment that doesn’t really matter to him.
He totally could have left it at the possessive “you belong to me,” but of course he didn’t and had to go imply that she was being unfaithful in front of others. Man, Sesshoumaru. Get it together, man. A big emotional mess, indeed. Good job, Sesshoumaru. You handled everything do well. Dumbass.
Ruriame (Chapter 12) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
Who are the other men? Smooth, Sesshoumaru, smooth.
I like how you snuck Hojo in there and how it added something to the mix about Kagome and her needs and what not.
Before Kagome commented on Sesshoumaru moving around for school, that got me wondering too. That’s a lot of different places for him to be going to school...I like how he said he got the same grade in every subject and kagome immediately thought straight A’s. Great Kyodai graduate indeed.
As soon as you said only three of the guys were there, that left a good entrance for Hojo. Skillful, MissTeak. Hojo kind of irks me too so I hope the competition thing doesn't last that long and only solidifies what has already started between Sesshoumaru and Kagome...but if it does, that's okay too! XD
Ruriame (Chapter 11) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
Kagome’s “You can go drown yourself” line made me crack up so much. She could seriously find much more insulting things to say but her rebuttals are so cute because they sound so innocent and yet you can see how flustered she is.
So who IS Nishimiya Kayoko? And what happened to his mother. Oh the mystery intensifies.
The way he told her to go back to the room to see her surprise was absolutely adorable. He was being very Sesshoumaru about it. And that made it even cuter than if he simply said something about it. And it was even funnier because she was all huffy at first. I’d be happy if I had a guy like that too. Don’t we all. Haha.
Ruriame (Chapter 10) - Tue 06 Jul 2010
Of course the child is going to like grumpy old Sesshoumaru. Cute!
Bath scene! LOL. I like how they both contemplate what's happening between them and suddenly that little funny embarassing scene happened. I kind of don't know who was more embarassed, Sesshoumaru for walking in on her or Kagome for being seen in her indecent uncovered state XD
*Running around in circles* YAAAAYYYYY...It had to take the fear of losing her for him to realize that he really truly cares about her. Love it to pieces.
Okay, I know i have not reviewed your wonderful piece of work here, but I have been following it regularly. I do not review well, I tend to sound like a complete wank when I try. However, I was compelled to give it a try here, this chapter was so wonderful that I could not live with myself if I didn't. First off, I must commend you on your portrayal of our beloved Sesshoumaru. I love the avenue you have chosen to take with his character, him being a bit of a recluse bring back wonderful memories of when I was writing my fic "Seclusion" Personally, I can see Sesshoumaru withdrawing from the world and chosing solitude over social interaction. You have, if I am interpreting his character correctly, made his lack of interaction stem from being rejected at some point in his life; I say this because of how he tells her to go ahead and leave like the others did. I felt so sad for him then that I wanted to give him a great big hug. I like how you gave him a playful side as well, it shows he is not the creepy guy that he seems to be.
This chapter though; I could feel his anxiety over finding his wife, hoping with all he had in him that she was okay, and not just because he needed her to stay there and help him run the Inn. He honestly feared that something horrible had happened to her and that she would be leaving him forever; which had the guy terrified to his very core. I could literally feel his relief as well when he head her voice calling out to him, guiding him to her location to rescue her. That hug made me go 'AWWWW...' I can't wait to see where you take this, although, I feel that Hojo needs to just chill out. He knows she is married and should just let her work things out with her husband. I think he deserved a good rap in the mouth for inscinuating Sesshoumaru was an abusive husband. Such an insult is not easy to forgivr and could e=get a being killed in many cultures. Honestly, who would really miss him anyway? It's not like the world would suddenly stop turning should he not be on it?
I will continue to read and enjoy this wonderful fic to its end, and will try to review a bit more as well. I am basically a shy person and well, I sometimes do not play well with others. I look forward to the next chapter, hoping that Hojo gets put in his place and stays there! Ciao!
Rikayu (Chapter 15) - Mon 05 Jul 2010
You have no idea how much I squee when I see a chapter notification in my inbox! :D
The beginning of the chapter very clearly showed the heartache that Kagome was going through, and the silence in the kitchen save for necessary instructions and stuff just seemed very real with how a couple would be after a big argument. You know you write a hurt Kagome so well that it makes me want to rip Sesshou's head off sometimes LOL.
In the kitchen they took a step back in all the progress they made, but after the landslide, oh boy, they're progress went forward three steps! XD Nothing like a life-and-death situation to kick you in the face and make you realize how much you actually care for someone! I jumped in my chair on reading their reunion (the exact reaction I have when good things happen in an asian drama--you mentioned me in your author's note EEEEEEEEE!).
Awesome chapter! Great writing as always! And I patiently wait for what comes next!
Madison (Chapter 15) - Mon 05 Jul 2010
Alright, I must say, I felt heartbroken at the beginning of this chapter. The way you described Kagome's current state made my heart ache. You wrote it so well, it was nearly as if I was feeling it that way. Although its totally mean, Im glad Sesshomaru felt bad, and all that guilt was rising inside of him. I know I said I take him in pity, but sometimes, when you write how hurt Kagome is, I want to rip his pretty little head off. he has to be more considerate of other's feelings. But I'm sure there is a reason why he is the way he is, and we will find out eventually. For now, I'll just smack him in the back of the head, lol.
Its such a shame that in the kitchen they were acting like such strangers, after all the progress they had made, it was almost heart breaking. Though I like it I mean if they had it easy, it wouldn't make for a very interesting story now would it? But still, all the awkwardness, I felt uneasy for them, lol.
Then of course, Hojo had to make the situation horrible not only was he almost challenging Sesshomaru but he put our couple in a weird situation, though Sesshomaru surprised me. You can see he just wants Kagome to be happy, and that's just adorable.
OKAY when she didn't show up at the time she was supposed to, I panicked, I knew something was wrong damn it. And Sesshomaru the poor little thing was so worried for her. And then the time passed, and you made my heart almost give up. THEN they arrive without her. WHAT were they thinking, they should have stayed until she was found! Never leave a girl like that!
AND poor Kagome, she musth ave been so scared. When Sesshomaru was looking for her, I felt like screaming with him, I felt like wanting to search for Kagome. And when he found her I burst in happiness. And not only that but hteir reunion was so cute. They way they hold on to each other, and their complicity was back it was perfect. You just knew how to write their reunion, and I felt like crying tears of joy!
AMAZING!
I wanna try drawing the hug, but I dont promise anything, I'm not as talented as you, so it might not turn out great.
Madison (Chapter 14) - Mon 05 Jul 2010
I hope you do realize this does not help the situation in any way at all right? I MEAN HOJO IS AN A--.... you know. Aggravating person. Lmao. He's playing the sweet boy act, but come on. She is married to someone else, and though yes they are friends, you can hear in his voice (well not literally duh) and in his gestures, and the way he says things that he just wants more than that. He is purposely saying certain things to make sure Kagome will be confused and uncomfortable. Like, she is married, why would you say that, and like, what was she supposed to do? Wait for you forever? You lost your chance buddy so how about you move on?
Though Kagome should be taking a bit of the blame for this. I mean she is a married woman, and she was acting perhaps a bit outside of the boundaries, especially if you consider how insecure Sesshomaru is. Right now, he's the one I'm taking in pity. if she doesnt want him, send him my way. Lmao. Sometimes Kagome doesnt mean wrong, but it happens anyway you know?
AND, I must say I wish Sesshomaru hadn't seen them. It was so hard for him to put his trust in her, and though he over reacts sometimes, I think he really was falling for her. Such a shame, I do hope things will pick up!
Madison (Chapter 13) - Mon 05 Jul 2010
Alright, I'd like to make a statment, before I leave the review. I love you to death hun, you know, that right? Don't take my frustration personal, its just the feelings which erupted within me once I finished reading the chapter.
I dont like Hojo. K, I had no problem with him in the anime, like, he wasn't a bad guy, and he didn't ruin anything. However, in this story, he's a complete different person. Like I know he means no harm, but it's obvious he's mingling in something that is none of his business. I dont care that Kagome cut her finger and that he studies medecine. She is SESSHOMARU's wife, and he just so rudely tossed him out of the way. I swear, I saw red. I hate him. And I don't hate a lot of people. K such a lie, lmao.
But, another person who annoyed me was Sesshomaru. Kagome, the poor girl, is a bit confused right now, and he's totally shutting her off. Like, he's not being clear, and he's giving mix signals. Although Kagome is to blame as well. She knows how insecure Sesshomaru is, and that its hard for him to open up, yet she puts him in a hard place. She might be innocent but come on!
All, and all, I HATE THEM ALL.
Lmao, but I adored the chapter... so I'm weird. lmao. Its a good hate.
