Omg, Sesshomaru is back there? You have to be kidding me. I had to re-read the part a few times, just to make sure I had seen correctly! I'm happy he's back since you know (hint hint), but what in the world is he doing back? Doesn't he know its dangerous for him? Although Kagome is worth it.

Look at the powerful man getting distracted by thoughts of a simple woman. I mean if he can't even focus on his work, that's saying a lot. Although it might end up being dangerous. What if he only thinks of her, and an attack comes his way and he doesn't plan for it? Maybe he'll get kill!

Ohmygod. I never thought he'd actually run after her. Zomg. GO SESSHOMARU GO GET HER! THen throw her over your shoulder, and run as gat as possible for this world, never look back. Wow... Maybe I HAVE been reading too much manga lately, lmao. Not my fault. I blame you. Uh. Uh. You make me think of love stories, so I need Mangas.

I think we all know who Kagome is talking to, and the fact that Sesshomaru recognize him means nothing good. Although, my instincts are saying (actually my eyes) dummy you already knew that, lmao. Eek! Sesshomaru better not get caught spying though. I have a feeling Naraku wouldn't hesitate to kill him.

No no, Sesshomaru wasn't spying because he was curious since she didn't usually interact with costumers like that. He was jealous. Geeze, you really gotta spell everything out for that guy don't you? I mean. DUDE. You keep thinking about her, you see her everywhere, you put your life in danger... There's no other way to say this.

See! See! i know it was bad that Sesshomaru knew Naraku. I mean it's Naraku, we all knew he wasn't going to be the good guy of the story right? But if he tries anything on Kagome, I will rip his neck open with his own bare hands. Too extreme? WELL FINE. But don't come crying to me if KAgome gets hurt.

See Kagome is too much of a good girl. How could she even consider sayng yes? Plus I'm sure he's not goodlooking, he's just working hard to make himself look like that. I hope she will be smart, and allow herself to see pass the veil of lies he has put up. She needs to know he's a filthy liar, and she can't trust him!

Kagome is a real singer, she can't make people feel without all the props, she proved it. It's because her voice is so lovely. Hence why she shouldn't end up in a whore house. Not that Im saying that a certain path might lead her that way... OH WAIT! I AM SAYING THAT. You go to hell Naraku. Can you tell I hate him?

See, why would he take her so far away rapidly? Its because he wants her to depend on him and only him. Have no connection, no friend, nobody. If she's only his, that it will be much easier to manipulate her, and make her do what he wants because she'll know she is completely lost without him.

I do hope she makes the right choice.

Uh oh... What's Naraku got up his sleeve? And more importantly, WHAT IS SESSHOUMARU GONNA DO ABOUT IT???

This may sound absurd, after reading this it blatantly reminded me of Rurouni Kenshin: Seisouhen. .____.

I don't know why it came to my mind so suddenly, Kenshin or Sano didn't even step in China during the Sino-Japanese War or did they...I didn't get the movie well. D: 

Now I'm rambling nonsense again...

But I did enjoy the part where Megumi was fritting away her worries for Sano. Just like how a loving wife should~ :3

I have to say I'm impressed by how you write Shesshoumaru in this chapter. His emotions are deep and so in-character. I particularly like the scene where he played the vinyl record to discover that it's the same song as the one Kagome had sung for him that night. So bitterweet..

I can't wait to see what will happen next since Naraku obviously will have something up his sleeve. And oh, the surprise! He's the one without his left arm instead of our dear demon lord. I wonder if the lossof his arm has anything to do with Sesshoumaru. What a twist.. :D

I love having more than one part to read at once. I dont like getting behind in reviewing your amazing stories, but getting to read more than one chapter at once! And god, I love your plot bunnies. =3

You know, I know Sango is trying to protect Kagome's feelings since it's obvious she is not doing well, but she should let Megumi ask the questions. I know they can seem brusque, and it might be bad for Kagome, and all, but. Sometimes when someone pushes you over that little edge, that's when you can finally... I dont know, its when you get that "jump" start, if that makes any sense. I think Kagome could use it.

Poor Megumi, I can't imagine being left like that. You know, certain events some people went through just make you realize how strong they are. Although sometimes its not easy. Kagome, we know she is strong, and she's having a hard time dealing with Sesshomaru's departure, yet nothing serious had happened between them. But, you know what they say, can't stop the love.

I mean, wow leaving her with three kids, just like that. If I had been her, I would have prefered that he'd be dead, than he had left me like that, dumping everything on me. Some people have it easy, while others have to take all the responsibilities. Can't just run away from problems (I have a feeling that statement will apply to Sesshomaru sooner or later).

I think in a way its good Kagome finds herself reasons to let go because she doesn't know if she'll ever see him again (alright we know since it's a sess/kag story, but she doesnt, and she can't keep hurting herself like that). Though I have a feeling that when they meet again, she'll have a few things to tell him, lmao.

Once again, that song was reaching out to Kagome, and I think it's only making her a better singer. If she keeps going that way, she'll be able to reach that dreams she wants. Someone is bond to notice her, and I have a feeling that will cause trouble between her and Sesshomaru when he comes around again.

Oh crap, I don't think Kagome is ready for another Japanese man, lol. And I'm also very happy that the fact that she is no whore is stressed out. Like, she is doing this because she loves singing, because it's her passion. Not because she wants to find a rich man to take care of her, and all that ugh crap.

Sorry this is so late. GOSH. I have much to tell you, but this isn't the place.

I like how they formed such a strong connection that even after so little time together, she can feel his presence missing in her life. It's not really depressing (well she is, but the thought of her missing him to me isn't), because it gives hope that something can happen between them, because well, obvious, to miss someone, you have to feel something for them right? *Am I going in a circle?*

That song was perfect for the emotions, and everything else she was feeling. I think though, she must have very powerfully sung it (since she already sings amazingly), it must have given people shivers, lol. I enjoy when you can feel the singer's feeling through the words, when they are more than just repeating words they memorized you know? Anyone can sing, not everyone can touch people.

Anywho.

Poor Kagome, all emotional during the song, YOU GO GIRL, He'll come back, you'll see! It's so cute and heartbreaking that so many little things happened between them, and they didn't let silly little barriers stand in their way. I mean, gosh. And who knew Sessomaru "ganster" version could be such a sweetheart huh? Awee, and the poor thing. What if, and could have been are the worst!
Ah god, I knew it. I was waiting for the moment her memories would be too much, and she would break down. Remembering loving memories that you won't have anymore is the worst. Awee. Sango is in there. I love Sango. YOU GO GIVe HER A HUG. She needs it. I know I would after Sesshomaru would leave me, lol.

It's too bad that Kagome can see it logically, her feelings are getting in the way. I think she would have found it a million times more difficult to actually watch him go. Of course now she can see that because she didn't want him to leave, and she misses him, and all, but if she pulled back a bit, and thought about it, she'd realized that. Although goodbyes always hurt, no matter what.

I'm glad Kagome has good friends in this story though! We didn't see much of that yet since it was centered on her and Sesshomaru, but I'm glad you're giving her some good "sidekicks" friends, that are there for her. She is really going to need it to pull it through this. And I'm glad she's crying. The tears help sometmes don't they?

You know what? I'm glad Kagome is not the only one so sad. I thought Sesshomaru was sad, but his busy mafia mind would take him away from her. Apparently not. But hey if they are both thinking so hard about each other, it'll just make them find their way to one and another right? *pretty please* Lmao.

The memories they have of each other are so sad, lol. Because they are so attached, and I dont know, gosh, Im going all romantic, its like a love on first sight kind of thing, and I really have a weakness for that kind of stuff, lmao. Sucker for Romance, oh well, its alright, I blame you, lmao. =D

I like the fact that Sesshomaru is angry, I want him angry, because I want him to feel for her. It must be strange for him though, because I have a feeling it's not always like that, which makes the whole thing even more cute, lol. An angry mobster, who is not used to love. Hm, how is he going to deal with that one?

Ahh!  It's Naraku!  Now I'm suspicious about his intentions. Hmm...  I love this story though.  It is written just beautifully.  I love the fact that you are using their chinese names too.  I think that is very interesting.  I was wondering why you switch between using their Japanese and Chinese names though.    While I was reading I kept wondering why you called Sango and Ayame by their Japanese names instead of their Chinese names.  I was thinking it was because we know them better by those names. Is it so we don't get confused?

The story really sucks you in.  I just got around to reading the whole thing today and I just can't wait to know more now.  Excellent work! ^_^

lol. Xiao Hui is a pretty funny character, despite her unfortune with her husband. Even though A-Lee was depressed, I couldn't help but laugh at their interactive dialogue.

I'm so relieved that A-Lee made it through her performance without bursting into tears! Her performance was that much stronger because of her slightly suppressed emotions. The lyrics to the song had hit her deeply and she was obviously thinking about Sesshoumaru while singing, so there had to have been much more feeling laced in her voice. By the way, you chose yet another fabulous song. It looks like we really do have a lot of musical tastes in common - even oldies! lol.

I smiled at the slightly hyper scene with Ayame and Sango. It's great to have friends like that. =]

Uh-oh. Naraku from Green Gang. I can only imagine what it is that he wants with her...

If I think about it from an ADE perspective...

I'd say... Naraku will take an interest in her due to her voice and her beauty. A-Lee will get swept away by the seemingly nice and sweet man. Naraku will end up falling in love with A-Lee and she'll be pulled into his dark and dangerous world. Then she'll meet up with Sesshoumaru again, perhaps during another blood bath when she's accompanying Naraku, and she'll be shocked and surprised. Sesshoumaru will feel slightly betrayed since she's fraternizing with the enemy. Even though he knows he has no holds on her and shouldn't feel that way, he'll still be somewhat illogical about it. He'll lash out and break her heart and A-Lee will try to leave Naraku. Naraku won't be happy about it so he'll vow to kill Sesshoumaru so A-Lee would stay by his side. Hm... and in the end, A-Lee and Sesshoumaru will end up together, but not without some consequences. Like maybe an injury or a disability that Sesshoumaru has from Naraku's attempt at revenge. The ending, I feel, will probably be bittersweet.

How close am I to the real plotline? LOL.

Sooooooo good!!!!!  I loved this chapter!!!!  I thought the crossover was rather clever.  Megumi and Sano are my favorite characters from Rurouni Kenshin! ^_^  I can't wait to read what's going to happen with Naraku... and how that will fit in with the blood rain Sesshomaru's gang has planned for Shanghai.  Placing the characters in this part of China is a wonderful idea, MissTeak!  Update soon!!!!!

After the talk with Megumi and her tear-free performance, it would have probably been too much for her to ses Sesshoumaru right away. I just wonder what sort of conflict Naraku is going to bring in this time, especially adding Kagome to the mix.

I feel bad about Megumi's sad love story. Although she and Sano did have kids together as proof that their relationship was true and it did exist, I feel bad for her T.T I mean, a woman shouldn't have to experience the difficulties of bringing up her children alone. And not having Sano with her and their kids is probably soooo painful for her. I guess the only way she could cope up with his absence was to think that he really IS dead even though she knows he's still alive somewhere.  I like how you kept her strong here too~ XD She's one of the strong characters in Rurouni Kenshin and I admire her fox-like nature LOL

Yay!! Kagome's getting stronger and stronger~! If she didn't learn enough from Megumi and stubornly thought of the painful facts between her and Sesshoumaru then she would have cried while singing the song XD But I'm soooo glad she pulled herself together and kept herself strong XD

I can't tell you how impressed I am. It's like experiencing a history lesson at the same time. I'm glad you made Kagome from Guangzhou. I find Guangzhou is often times overlooked and preferred less than Beijing or Shanghai. It's my favorite city in all of China!
