Ahhhhh!!! *major fangirl squeal* The moment Sesshomaru and Kagome meet again! Ugh, I swear, this chapter sent me into endless bouts of squeals and "aww"s. I absolutely loved this forbidden encounter between them - so sexy! You seriously have a knack for giving us girls a little tease and making us beg for more! That kiss was out of this WORLD! Don't I just love a dominating Sesshy! :3

But oohhh my goodness, with Sesshomaru leaving again without a goodbye, will that make change her mind about going to Beijing with Naraku? Ah!! So intense and angsty! The pure rawness of this setting of historical background gives this wonderful story so much drool-worthy drama! So I'm finally caught up now, but now I'm terribly sad because I have no more chapters to read.. T-T Well, good things are very much worth waiting for! I will patiently await the next chapter (though of course my addicted Sessh brain will keep pestering me for more more more!) Keep the amazing, wonderful, jaw-dropping, addictive, crazy-good work, midear!!

Anyways, on a more serious note... That was a beautiful chapter. I love seeing how all this angsty story plot unfolds so naturally. The characterizations of the characters you portray in this story are so distinct and unique. You do crossovers very well, let me tell you! If I were to do one, I'm pretty sure it would be a train wreck, lol. Man, I'm so curious as to what's going to happen in these next chapters! I wonder if Kagome will really be caught in the human trafficking business, and if perhaps a certain dangerous but oh so sexy bishie will come to her rescue... :3

Speaking of that sexy one, your background for him is just... Ah, what word can describe it? Heart-wrenching? Beautiful? Well, all the same, I found I couldn't help but cling to every word! It's such a sad and deep story... It reminds me of the most pivotal and tearjerking (for me at least) part of Naruto Shippuden *SPOILER ALERT!!!* where Sasuke and Itachi reconcile... Ohhh, if you watch that, ooh my goodness, it will literally make you go quiet for a good ten minutes... Ahh, I love that series so much. Anyways, what I was trying to say was, it nearly brought tears to my eyes! The fact that they have this bruised relationship out of Sesshomaru's own concern for his brother... Ugh, that's so bittersweet!

I forgot to mention, that I love your use of characters from other shows!  The WAY you use them is so very believable, as if they all belong together in this story. :D

Oh sweetie!  I'd ignore stuff like that.  I myself, don't even update regularly... only when I feel like it.  Personally, I don't mind waiting for your chapters!  They're always well worth the wait!

I quite enjoy your story and can't wait for more. I actaually liked the bittersweet ending between them. I kinda wished they he had given her a goodbye peck before once more leaving her life to return at his fancy but im pretty sure that Kagome and me will get what we can. I look forward to see if this affects Kagome's decision bout going with Narku and how thier lives are constantly attracted to each other :)

Hello! I like the story so far, but I found that there is a slight discrepancy in the plot... In this chapter didn't the superintendent see Sesshomaru already before the phone call? It confused me a little when he said that he was surprised to see that Sesshomaru was still alive, when he already saw that he was.

I won't smack you... but I might smack Sesshomaru! *thwaps* He was doing so WELL too! Amazing, how a kiss can overcome language barriers. But no... these two aren't only having to overcome language barriers but that Sesshomaru has social issues with expressing himself as well. *rolls eyes* Not that I can't see and even understand why what happened did... but that doesn't mean I have to Like it. *throws eraser at the back of a certain white haired 'dog demon'*

*sighs* So I'm guessing Kagome did not hear the shouts for Sesshomaru through the haze of the kiss? That would better explain why she's being a snot about it. Although I agree he COULD have said SOMETHING before leaving like that. I mean... that was beyond COLD. Especially after being so HAWT.

I dunno... it pisses me off a little that she could forgive him one minute only to write him off the next.

I... seriously thought I had already replied to both chapters 9 & 10 either here or on FFnet. *perplexed* Either I had some very realistic dreams again... or I lost connection while they were submitting. I wouldn't write off either option -they've happened enough before.

First off -that PMer on FFnet needs to be slapped upside the head. For real. It's not like there's publishing contracts on fanfiction. *rolls eyes* How often an author updates is irrelevant to the strength of their writing. Okies... maybe when an author Ditches a story points should be docked... but that's not you! *frowns at unknown person & sighs* Besides which... you're actually a pretty regular updater. At least as far as I'm concerned. I certainly don't have room to complain when my chapter fic on FFnet is lucky to get a chapter a month. *faceplants* ah well.

Not surprising: I loved this chapter. The background for Sesshomaru was amazing. I enjoy how you give him entirely 'nothing like cannon' origins and yet still circle it around to fit into the personality we recognize as 'Sesshomaru.' Above and beyond that I love discovering that he's basically 'undercover' within his mafia. That's an awesome twist in and of itself. Inner circle for that was amazing, even if I don't recognize all the cameo characters. ^_^ I like the 'walking in gray' notion. Very tugging.

Trying to decide if I should review on both sites now or not. *laughs* I suppose I could copy/paste the same review there too. *whistles* Or would that be highly unsporting? I don't know.

Oooohhh... ouch!  For all his suave, he can't motion to her to 'just wait a little bit while I get rid of my cronies'?  Poor Kagome and Sesshomaru!  I like this bit of a language lesson we get whenever they interact.  I've taken 4 semesters of Japanese and there's STILL a lot of simple conversation I don't understand... @_@;;  I can't wait to read more of this wonderful story!  Update soon, but if you want to take time and write longer chapters with more fluff like this one, I definitely won't complain...!!!!!  Happy Labor Day!  ^_^

Bloody, violent, gorey, morbid! I love it! It's a nice change to read an action-packed story. So descriptive when you're writing about the blood and killings! Are you sure you're not a secret mafia member? :P Anyways, wonderful chapter. It really reveals Sesshomaru's true side and what he really does or is. P.S. I like how you placed the superintendent of all people to be the bad boy Sesshomaru's associate! How angsty!

Aw! Sesshomaru tries to forget our lovely Kagome, but just can't find it within himself to actually do it. Poor dear! I love how you tied Naraku into this one. Makes me wonder how this is going to play out! Seriously, reading this is like watching a movie! *swoons*

Okay, that made me tear up.  No really.  The inability to communicate was just so heart-wrenching...

I really would hate Kagome to do something stupid, just to spite Sesshomaru.  It would be just so like her, to go against what she originally decided....but that's just my feeling.

Oh my goodness. I have so many different things I want to say for this chapter. For one, it was beautifully written as always, and I could picture every single word you depicted in this story. And Kouga's part - LOL! It was so playful and cute when Kagome essentially diss him~ ^^ The ways Sesshomaru will show his subtle affection towards Kagome just melted my heart, and I LOVED how he stayed stoic throughout the whole thing. So typical Sesshomaru. Giving away nothing, but expressing the moment so well. And that ending. OH.. I was almost in tears! Really! I could just imagine the raw pain of that moment, and could just see her frantically running about looking for him... I can't wait to see what's in store in the next chapter! Wonderful job, as always dear!

Sesshoumaru finally feels the frustration of the language barrier! And Kagome is so internally grateful for it because she'll never know what it is he is saying to her and it makes it easier for her to continue hating him.

Ouuch... Kagome totally threw that Sayonara back at him. That was a total burn right there! D= I never thought sweet songstress Kagome could be so cold! lol.

Hehe, Sesshoumaru's not giving up so easily! Good! Yikes, Kagome doesn't believe him and thinks he's lying. I guess that's the way it goes! Though it's very frustrating! I hope she doesn't decide to go just to spite him. Cuz that would be totally awful.

Ohh, now that you mention Sesshoumaru jeopardizing everything... I hope Naraku doesn't spot them!! He really is putting a lot on the line. Kagome is obviously too angry to see that? She knows he's in the mafia and can't take risks like that! Think, Kagome, think!!
