Angelicatt (Chapter 6) - Thu 24 Jun 2010

Oi, does Sess really need to be so much of a bastard? So the shameless woman was his mother - nice!!! I hope Kagome does not plan on sitting down out in the cold all night

Rikayu (Chapter 6) - Thu 24 Jun 2010
As usual, you never disappoint! :D I love this chapter and emotions that run through it. That old woman is so mean! But her reaction was very realistic. Since I've had the same thing happen to me where just because I was from a certain place, their opinion of my automatically turns sour~ Sesshoumaru is mean too! D< But this gives the perfect chance for him to run after her *wiggles eyebrows* lol. Also, You're really making me curious about Sesshoumaru's mother~ So I urge you to write more!

Sala (Chapter 6) - Thu 24 Jun 2010

He is quite the bastard, isn't he?

Angelicatt (Chapter 5) - Tue 22 Jun 2010

Welcome back hon...you were missed of course. I feel for Sess - so much bottled up raw anger and emotion. He really just does not have the social grace or know how to express it properly and poor Kagome is just being herself. It's like she trying to climb a straight wall with no footholds...2 steps forward and 3 steps back. But the girl's got a lot of gumption...she'll break him yet.

Saide (Chapter 5) - Mon 21 Jun 2010

Awww...

Poor Kagome, Sesshomaru should start lightening up somehow but he's a tough nut to crack as of the moment. >D

Nice progression of events, I wonder how will it go on in the next chapter? >3

jgem (Chapter 5) - Mon 21 Jun 2010

It has been many, many, many years since I have stayed at a ryokan in Kyoto. It was such a great experience; almost like staying at a Bed and Breakfast in the US. Your wonderful descriptions have brought back the fun that I had and makes me eager to take my husband to Japan so that he can try it out.

Your story has been most enjoyable. I really like Kagome's attitude of not letting a less than ideal situation distract her from being happy. She is not coming across as too "Pollyannish" but just the right sort of not letting things get to her. Of course, I will be eagerly waiting for more chapters so that I can learn of Sesshoumaru's backstory. He must have been very hurt to want to shut people out so completely, but then again, it is always interesting why the same sort of misfortune can strike two different people causing one to fall completely apart, while the other recovers.

Hoshi Phoenix (Chapter 5) - Mon 21 Jun 2010

MissTeak, I loved the interaction between them in this chapter. You gave a little peek into why he doesn't like people like her but at the same time tell us that he doesn't have anything against her. I think I'm confusing myself again. lol. Either way it was a wonderful chapter and can't wait to see were you go from here! :)

Ruriame (Chapter 5) - Mon 21 Jun 2010

“I hope you fall right into the river…”
Ah, Kagome, there are so many worse things you could have said. The fact that you said something so NICE instead of thing you could say amuses me immensely.

I kind of like the fact that she told him off a little about him being so mean when she thanked him. She could have just let it go and broiled up about it inside, but since she didn't, it works out somehow. And then the tension after as they both tried to fall asleep was a strong image for me. Especially with how he continued to pick up the conversation where they left off, like the time in between hadn't existed at all. It was deep and meaningful...and then Kagome started talking about ghosts. Nice one, MissTeak. Kagome's mumbling as she starts falling asleep was really cute. She was like an innocent child.

Now that the life there has been established, I look forward to further plot developments! But now I'm all caught up and impatient! Damn it!

Ruriame (Chapter 4) - Mon 21 Jun 2010

Was it possible to do something without a reason behind it? Indeed, Sesshoumaru, indeed. Kimonos made her look pleasant for a moment. I bet until he hears her talk again, huh? Those people...hmmm, I sense plot twist revelations coming along sometime. Somehow the line about no one ever staying for long except him held a lot of loneliness in it. And the "oi" almost made me fall out of my chair. It was too funny!

And now you have an example of my short-hand direct reactions while reading. i hope I sound coherent...last chapter to read for the day is next! I'm kind of sad now...but I'll definitely savor reading it while I can...

Ruriame (Chapter 3) - Mon 21 Jun 2010

Liquid sunshine is a nice description for his eyes.

Man, he's a bastard. But it's great.

I laughed really hard when he palmed her head and said this statement:
“I am looking forward to trying your cooking, dear wife,” He gave her a languid half-smile. “It seems to me, you like me a lot more than you let on.”

My heart kinda stopped at the moment with the kimono. I could just imagine it and they way you described it made me envious. Kimonos are damn expensive, especially the authentic kind...I think I'd have to save forever just to get one nice one. And then hope I stay the same size so I don't not fit it anymore...and I'm completely digressing from reviewing the story! I meant to end it with the descriptions are so lovely that I feel like I can picture almost everything :)

And now I'm curious about his mother. Since this particular Kagome is made a bit of a loud-mouth, when she starts getting meek anc quiet, it really makes you think about the situation...off to the next chapter!

Ruriame (Chapter 2) - Mon 21 Jun 2010

Oh My God! For some reason, I didn't get any email notifications that this story updated until chapter FIVE. I was waiting for chapter two for so long and now I feel dumb that it was already out...my email hates me...but good news is that means I get to go on a four chapter reading spree! Yay!

Anyway, I like the progression of the story. The banter between our lovely pair is so amusing. I like how he tends to use what she says to take a stab at her. It's highly amusing. Wait until she bites back, Sesshoumaru!

Madison (Chapter 4) - Sun 20 Jun 2010

I really enjoy all the questions Kagome has about Sesshomaru's mother because I have the same. I don't know how/whom she is in this fic, and what kind of influence she had on Sesshomaru. Hopefully we will find out more about that soon (HINT HINT!) Lmao, just kidding, whatever you write will be great.

I think Kagome is used to having people, and for the very first time, she has to be alone. I have no doubt she can do it, but she will fear her skills for a while, at least that's the feeling I get. I also liked how Sesshomaru is puzzled by his own actions. Its quite adorable if you ask. Like he is feeling more than he knows/wants.

I want to know his whole story, and his reasons. We know mostly everything behind Kagome, but Sesshomaru is like a mystery. Though I have feeling that's part of the plot. So I won't ask too much. I think he is used to being alone, and it will take time for him to adjust to her presence. But they are warming up to each other!

Madison (Chapter 3) - Sun 20 Jun 2010

I like the idea of you making it like a girly manga.

It will be much interesting to see how this plays out. It was beyond adorable the way Kagome just was relieved to not share a room with Sesshomaru. (Although in my mind I was going, you crazy girl, I would have jumped him a long time ago). Also, her naive side is just adorable. She jumped in head first, not knowing what she was doing, and where she was heading. Now, it's finally dawning upon her, lol. What a cutie.

Hilarious as well how Sesshomaru is the cook, but from the looks of things, Kagome couldn't cook to save her life. Mmm, a sexy man who can cook, lmao. I like it. He was impatient with her, but at the same time, he has much patience. After all, he's used to dealing with things a certain way, and there she comes, messing up his whole routine. It's not his fault he's grumpy sometimes.

It made my heart melt when she wore his mom's kimono. Sesshomaru is slowly showing a sweet side, and I must say, I'm liking it hun! I think Kagome will slowly warm up to him if he keeps acting this way. And she will prove herself to him!

Mysticangeldust (Chapter 4) - Fri 18 Jun 2010

Still very much enjoying this! Please continue when you are able!

Tana_san (Chapter 4) - Sat 12 Jun 2010

Though envy isn't a something I usually feel, I must say, my friend, that I am evious of you traveling to so many wonderful places. Even when I was well I couldn't go much further than my own surrounding area, but it's very beautiful here in the midwest of America too.

As for this chapter, I think Sesshoumaru is underestimating Kagome. Others may have left but Kagome ...? I think he's in for more than he expected. He doesn't know that Kagome has "staying power".   JEN

Yoru-101 (Chapter 4) - Fri 11 Jun 2010

Wait, WHAT?

YOU'RE GOING TO TOKYO?

CONGRATULATIONS, MY DEAR. Have a wonderful time.

Anyhow, that chapter makes me hungry. And Sesshoumaru is such a dear. He doesn't realize how nice he is. I wish I had a man that could cook. >:P

Hoshi Phoenix (Chapter 4) - Fri 11 Jun 2010

Wonderful chapter MissTeak! I love the slowing building chemistry between the two. Can't wait to see what happens next! Something tells me Kagome is definitely going to have her hands full. Have a safe trip to Tokyo! :)

knifethrower (Chapter 4) - Fri 11 Jun 2010

I am enjoying the detail of this story so much, I don't mind at all that there is not a lot of action.  I am always very curious about other places and ways of life, but it is rare to find someone who can convey the nuances in a way that gratifies me.  My sister-in-law does not speak English very well, but I would think my brother could tell me about Japan, as he has visited there several times.  Unfortunately, I think most people don't notice much of what surrounds them.  Maybe that is why being a good teller of stories is not a common gift.  But it is a gift that you have, Miss Teak, in spades!  You fill in the line drawing of your stories with such beautiful color and texture, I can't help but gobble up every thing that you write!

fatcatmom (Chapter 4) - Fri 11 Jun 2010

So they both have adjustments to make---cannot wait to see how things go. Enjoy your trip and please update soon--love this story!
