I swear Inu was acting like a huge bitch on the period ... no scratch that he acted worst then a female who's on there period. Omg and Inu's asshole of a mother ... three words: Mega Diva Bitch!!! Ooo and love how you describe Sesshy's eyes when he look at his wafie with all the respect she deserves. It's always awful when you have to deal with people who have no manners or sensitivity to other people's feelings.

I, myself, am in a situation similar to Sesshoumaru and everytime I am forced to be in the presence of those people I am torn between wanting to throw the "miso soup" at them or take the approach that I am above them and will ignore all that they say. It seems to me that a lot of what they say and do towards Sesshoumaru is designed to get some sort of rise out of him. It's like when the bully picks on certain kids; he likes the reaction he gets out of them.

All I can say, is what a miserable meal until Kagome livens things up. I also have to say, kudos to you Miss Teak for letting Kagome speak her mind in a way that doesn't seem to lower herself to their "name calling" level. Even when she is giving them a lecture, she isn't making it into a "you pick on Sesshoumaru" but rather she points out that as a clan, they don't have much respect for anyone. She is assertive, without being aggressive or "bitchy".

Personally, I don't see it as Sesshoumaru lacks a backbone, but rather because he still harbors some small desire to be accepted, he is not going to give them a reason to prevent it.

Go Kagome! Finally someone need to give a piece of there mind about the family. I think after the family leaves maybe something happened between Inuyasha and Kikyou which case her to flip out and go crazy which could be a side to her that he never seen before in his life. Like in that one scene moving day in the movie called 'Why did I get married two?'  and then maybe goes stays with Sesshomau and Kagome at the Inn and help out at the place. I think  maybe another girl into a picture woudl be nice to add but I'm not sure if you remember the character Sara in the anime which I think she should be including in part of the story. After all you got to have girlfriends to talk to chat while working at the Inn.

I hate to see Inuyasha motehr as a bad person but in the real story she not a evil bitch but it's your story. I just hope that she not a bad buy and is not a bitch which also goes to Bankotsu he needs to change. It would be funny if he has a thing for Sara and is trying to win her attentions.

I was waiting for everything to hit the fan. I think that this chapter was handled well by Kagome and you. I quite enjoyed the way that this chapter and dinner turned out. I can't wait to see the aftermath now :)

Personally, I want Kagome, to fight them, I want her to kick their butt and like teach them a lesson. Now, I'm REALLY curious about what is going to happen between Sesshomaru's father and Izayoi, now that he has made an attempt to be fair...

'Kay. Read chapters 1-26 in one sitting, ending up staying up very late, lol.

I wanted to let you know, however, that you've done a brilliant job with this, and I've really enjoyed reading it so far! There are lots of little complexities that add to the flavour of the story (such as Hojo's snobbery).

One thing I REALLY appreciated seeing was awkward sex. Don't get me wrong, parts of it were a bit painful to read, but it's true that it doesn't always happen perfectly like we're used to reading and seeing. Kagome didn't have an orgasm the first time, and that was realistic! So I think you did a great job of portraying just how difficult sex for the first time really is! And for that I applaud you!

I think you're doing a lot of really neat things with this story, and I'm glad to see a different sort of Sesshoumaru and Kagome come together. :) The fish are hilarious. I loved the festival scene. Great job!
