Good Kagome! I how ties to the family will heal now that Kiyomaru finally understands the problem...?
I realize that you are already 31 chapters into this story, and that I'm pretty late picking it up, but I wanted to offer a few positive words anyway.
This story is nothing short of riveting! I stayed up all night to catch up :P, it's got great flow, pacing, and is easy to read. Your work is stunning :)
I know that by asking you to update soon (especially since you already updated today) probably isn't going to help, but waiting for new chapters of great stories is almost painful!!
Keep writing, you're filling people's days with quality work.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Zyren (Chapter 31) - Wed 29 Sep 2010
I really love this story, its so sweet and well written to boot! However I have been wondering lately why Kiyomaru never made it know that the only reason the family was successful and had so much money was because of Sesshoumaru's mother? Didnt he get learn to cook and get all the recipes for Nishimiya resteraunts from Chiyomi? if he had never gotten so close to her they may have nothing or at least not as much as they have now. I just wonder how the rest of the family would feel if they knew the only reason they were so privileged and could sit on their pretty high horses was because of the mother of the so called "bastard child"? Granted that could make them hate him even more since then they'd really think he was after all the money.....Hn..
Just a thought! Keep up the good work though!
loveyaa (Chapter 31) - Wed 29 Sep 2010
I quite liked the way that you ended the chapter. It was a bit conversation heavy but it was worth it in the end. The peace gained by everybody at the end of the storm. I wonder how things will turn out from here though. I can't wait to see the blooming relationship between Kagome and Sesshoumaru and hopefully eventually Sesshoumaru and his father. Well anyway the turnout when Kagome comes back should be interesting...here's always looking forward :)
Cat (Chapter 1) - Wed 29 Sep 2010
I am so happy you reviewed so quickly. This story is my favorite story right now and I cant wait until the next chapter comes out!
jgem (Chapter 31) - Wed 29 Sep 2010
While I know that the chapters comes as they are inspired, I can't help be glad that your muse was able to get this chapter up so quickly. I really wanted to see what you, er, I mean, Kagome would say to the dad. All I can say is ,"Go, Kagome!".
Personally, I liked the chapter. As you said, the dialogue was necessary and Kagome said all the things that I had been thinking. So, I admit, I am very pleased with this chapter as a reader. It moved the plot along and that is always a good thing.
Now...about that lovely making-out, er, I mean making-up scene that was happening before Dad interrupted. I hope we will get some more of the fluffiness going again soon.
REDWOLF (Chapter 31) - Wed 29 Sep 2010
Woe, what a fantastic chapter, but don't ya get a feeling like doom is hanging around the corner in the name of Inuyasha and his cousin with the evil intentions of evil towards hurting Kagome? All I can say if they hurt Kagome, Sesshoumaru will hurt them without a second thought, even, if it means going through all of them. Can't wait for the next update.
Nysrina (Chapter 31) - Wed 29 Sep 2010
Oh wow! I refreshed the home page and - voila! - a new chapter! Am I happy? Very the happy. :D
Awww... The much needed third-party perspective. Too true; if Otousan had consulted Sesshoumaru on his desires instead of taking arbitrary action, well, there won't be such a mess now. Let's hope they both can work past the years of 'good intentions gone wrong'.
Great chapter, this one!
31 chapters! You have put a lot of work into this story, and it really shows. The level of domestic intimacy reminds me of what makes me love your old story where Rin suffered from leukemia so much. Sessomaru and Kagome aren't heroes with super powers, they are fairly typical people, and the story is about the warmth growing between them because of the pedestrian things that happen to all of us. I understand your explanation of Izayoi, InuYasha, and the other relatives' bad behavior, but I am convinced that what makes us worthwhile human beings is the ability to be bigger than such considerations. Really, they are behaving like barbarians because Sesshomaru is an inconvenience or awkwardness in their lives through no fault of his own, so they are all very small, petty people.
Nysrina (Chapter 30) - Wed 29 Sep 2010
LOL... Finally Kagome has had enough! Yeah, stand by your man! *chuckles*
Poor Sesshoumaru :( All that anger and desolation and pretending not to be affected by it.
Otousan has Kagome in a quandry now. I wonder if she would be mercenary enough to accept Kiyomaru's offer, then channel the funds into the shrine. Heh.
ahaha I can't help but take note of how cute Sesshoumaru's acting in this chapter~!! XD
And Kagome's sooo cute while she keeps on talking with no response from her husband haha (who's busy staring at the computer)
Awesome chapter! XD Fluff goodies~
Makes me want to cuddle with someone XD
Paige (Chapter 30) - Mon 27 Sep 2010
I LOVED this story. Please keep updating... and soon! :D
Patricia (Chapter 30) - Sun 26 Sep 2010
"The only difference was that the former’s held a silent rage targeted at the entire world due to loneliness, while the latter’s held loneliness displayed to the entire world due to a silent rage which he could never express."
i thought that line was just beautiful.
fatcatmom (Chapter 30) - Sun 26 Sep 2010
Gasp!Don't accept the money Kagome! While a nice gesture to show the family his attitude towards Sesshoumaru, it will not solve anything....Kagome is so right in that they do not act like a family....
Great chapter. Please update soon.
missc (Chapter 30) - Sat 25 Sep 2010
i loved it
jgem (Chapter 30) - Sat 25 Sep 2010
First, *Squeel* an update! Then, *sigh* chapter ended too soon and left with a most awkward moment.
Still, I love the part where Kagome is trying to get Sesshoumaru to talk to her and forgive her. Very cute. Kind of like a puppy dog.
I also need to say, Miss Teak, that for a story that you have said is not going to be as intricate in its details, this story has managed to bring out several emotional responses. I could go on and on about how Sesshoumaru's father's actions are quite upsetting...in a way, more so than the treatment by other family members. I will content myself with just saying that this is still a great story.
REDWOLF (Chapter 30) - Sat 25 Sep 2010
FANTASTIC CHAPTER! Good grief, could Kagome be any more dumber than to except his father invite right then. Sesshoumaru is going to be furious and I don't blame him. However, if Sesshoumaru could possibly see straight, then, he would realize Kagome is right in meeting with his father, because, it will only further his place in the family having to admit he is one of them.
I just hope Sesshoumaru has to knock Inuyasha and Bank up side the head. I can't believe that being as male priding as those two act, that they are gonna let someone as little and female as kagome get by with embarassing them in front of "the" family. Kikyo shouldn't sit well for that either.
Great story I always look forward to your updates.
GG (Chapter 30) - Sat 25 Sep 2010
I love it! I'm glad she told them off andi hope she can make sesshoumaru feel better when she gets done talking to his dad! update soon! Keep writing! :)
tiana (Chapter 30) - Sat 25 Sep 2010
uhhhh ohhhh and thnkz for updatin finally
Naiadine (Chapter 30) - Sat 25 Sep 2010
Kyaaaaaa~~!! Do you know how elated I am when I saw the update?
I am speechless, really. Even the tension is not as high as in the last chapter (which I haven't reviewed. Gomen nasai..), this chapter is very meaningful. This is a chapter in which we get to see more of 'inner Sesshoumaru' and also Kiyomaru's true heart. It seems to me that Kiyomaru still couldn't forget his love for Sesshoumaru's mother. If only Sesshoumaru can stop being stubborn and let his father in even if it's only a teeny tiny bit.
Anyhow-ho, great chapter! I salute you, MissTeak!
