It's obvious, at this point, that Sesshoumaru is watching Kagome out of respect for his brother's wishes after his death, but how he will accomplish it without getting somewhat attached will be a challenge, for humans do need some care, as he is re-learning with Kagome's illness. And when one takes care of another person, it's very difficult to keep your distance emotionally speaking. After all, it was what happened when he was taking care of Rin. Great chapter.

Please don't give up. This story has a great potential to explore the psychological side of the characters. Kagome feels loneliness and tries to take comfort in the company of the only one she somewhat sees like a family, assuming that Sesshoumaru feels loneliness too. Personally, I think that after the loss of Rin and Jaken he  fears to feel any attachment to another being at all to avoid pain, for it's obvious that he suffered very much with his reaction to Jaken's death, trying to revive him with the Tenseiga. Although he does't admit it, I think he is very lonely too and permited that Kagome followed him to have some semblance of familiarity. Continue with this work, you know very well how to explore the characters' feelings and emotions and this story, how I said before, has great potential for you to succeed in accomplish. Don't give up. Kisses.

You now, if you even think to stop posting this fic we who like it will throw virtual tomatoes at you for giving up!!!! LOL ... I was intrigued from the first paragraph and even more intigued to know that it had been over 200 years and Kagome didn't age. That has always been something I wished someone would write and make it sound as real and plausible as you have. It's a good theory to think that InuYasha aged more rapidly than Kagome because she was from the future and when she finally gets to her timeline she will no doubt age normally again.

I like how Sesshoumaru hasn't truly changed over the years. He did allow Rin to follow him but Rin mostly fended for herself which if Kagome wants to follow him, she'll have to do the same as Rin did and learn to do so without complaint. I think that's what endeared Rin to Sesshoumaru. She wasn't afraid to find her own food or to follow him endlessly because she just knew he was always there for her.

Yes, Sesshoumaru is doing this out of duty, his honor, if you will. There would be many that would scoff at him if they learned he left his brother's wife behind. By all rights, he can take her with him or set her up somewhere and just check in on her if he wanted. Kagome wants to follow him so she'll have to keep up like Rin and Jaken did. Oh and sorry to hear about Jaken. He was a good stress reliever for anyone who wanted to shut his beaky little mouth up by stepping on him, throwing rocks or even throwing him! Oh I loved seeing InuYasha take Jaken and stretch him like he were playdough in the "Final Act". He's such an annoying little creature.

I know this is the worse day of Kagome's life and I truly feel sorry for her. So much so that I wish I could hug her and hold her until all the tears are gone. I can not imagine how awful she must feel right now. Totally alone and lost I'm sure but if she thought she'd get any sympathy from Sesshoumaru, well, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Hi, I'm happy to see you back so soon. This story sounds promising, and I'm very interested to know how it progresses. The idea of Kagome aging only when her time of origin catches up is greatly original and so it was natural that she would out live Inuyasha and all her friends without demonic origins. Great start, I'm anxiously waiting for the next chapter.

This was SUCH a wonderful first chapter, the storyline is really impressive so far! I'm really liking how Kagome cannot continue aging until she reaches her own time, I've never read a story in which that happens, so A+ for originality too. It's so sad but also fulfilling knowing that she managed to stay with her friends and lover throughout their entire lives. Can't wait to see what happens from here :)

I like this...alot! I like the idea that Inu isn't turned into a bad guy like so many writer's seem to do, though, I do understand their reasoning to "get him out of the way" so Sesshoumaru and Kagome can be together.

So, Kags lives for 200 years until Inu dies. Did he die from old age? Hm, not sure. I got this from what Sessh said about his mortality and I agree on the idea that Kagome could potentially live until she reaches her own timeline. What an awesome idea, though I'm sure many would probably try to refute this idea. I like it and I was impressed that big brother actually was there to watch the burial of his only brother.

Poor Kagome, no one she has known from her beginning in the Sengoku Jidai is alive and I can surely understand her not wanting to be left alone if there is family there she can be with and Sesshoumaru is her family whether he likes it or not. If he still has any honor he'll alow her to follow him as long as she wishes to.

Will there be bumps along the way??? I truly do hope so! You know how much I enjoyed all the twists and turns of "Bent". I can not wait for more of this. Thanks so much for catching the Dokuga bug so soon.  JEN
