Just wondering why the markings have to cover so much of her body........ Is it something to do with this particular clan or is it so that other clans can easily see the markings? I am just not a tattoo fan of the all-over-the-body thing and I know that in this story Kagome will not grow old, but I Have seen old people with wrinkly tattoos......and believe me it is NOT PRETTY! People who do that will regret it as they age and the tattooes become....um very strange..........due to wrinkles, etc. It's a good thing that the clan does not have more members otherwise Kagome would be one huge tattoo! Anyway, I would think that Kagome would start to question the "claiming" thing and to just agree to allow Sesshamoru to court her without hardly even knowing him seems to be a bit unrealistic. Sure the clan is protecting her family and, admittably, Sess is a georgous hunk of male, but still....... Unless Kagome practically understands what claiming, courting, etc. is all about to the clan, then shoudln't she be naturally curious and a bit apprehensive? Unless it is just some unwritten thing that, yes Kagome knows exactly what courting and claiming means to the clan that she is involving herself in, the story just seems to be moving too fast and Kagome seems to be too easygoing and complacient about all of it. Perhaps too trusting. Too innocent. I know that I would want a bit more information and time to think things over before before agreeing to anything. Even if it is a given that I will eventually agree. I would want to be able to gather any questions and concerns and have them settled before doing anything life-changing. In this story, she didn't even seem sad from being taken away from her family and home. I would have been depressed for days. It doesn't matter if I could talk to my parents over the phone every day or not. It just would not be the same......... On a far better note, I do like the plot to this story. The idea of the coming-of-age ceremony was very nice. I am glad that Kagome's family had a tradition that did not immediately revolve around the shrine. I have read far too many stories about shrine holidays, etc. But nothing personal concerning the family. Not even an annual vacation or some such. Could you describe in greater detail the other clans and what is known about them? Perhaps have Kagome study the different clans. I am sure that she will have to meet up with the leaders of the other clans fairly soon......For one reason or another...... Thank you for writing this story and please do not think that I am coming down on you too badly! After all I don't even have any stories written! I do not think that I could!
Nice! I totally like the idea of those pack binding tattoos. Completely original as fas as I can tell and totally cool! I also like that Sesshomaru is ready to start the courting. Can't wait to see how it goes. Please please update soon. :)
