Anyhoo, I didn't see a legend on what the ratings mean. Maybe I missed it but I want to make sure that I post my pornographic smut in the correct category. I would hate for some kid to read a nicely titled short story of mine and get to the part where Sesshomaru tosses Kagome's salad and warp her fragile mind.

Ah, yes. I'll add a little ratings guide to story edit pages. As a short reference guide:

MA = SMUT H3RE PLZ.

I've added a guide on the edit page, and updated the popup warnings so they reflect our ratings guides. Does that clear up the confusion on ratings?

I know you said that theres a guide on the edit page, but I'm trying to post a story and can't find a guide anywhere. Evetually my story will have lemons, so for now I'm going to err on the side of caution and say MA, but really, I don't have a clue. Maybe I'm just dense, but maybe under the "Fanfiction Menu" button there should be a link to a age with just explinations? Who knows, I maybe missing it.

K = Ages Five and Up: Content Suitable for Most Ages
K+ = Ages Nine and Up: Content May Not Be Suitable for Young Children
T = Ages Thirteen and Up: Contains Content Not Suitable for Children
M = Ages Sixteen and Up: Contains Content Suitable for Mature Teens and Older
MA = Ages Eighteen and Up: Contains Explicit Content for Mature Adults Only


That's what we're talking about. We don't have a formal guide about what constitutes what. Some people's lemons are only M-worthy, but some deaths need an MA. Other people write really good MA-worthy lemons, but can write a death for K+.

Just use your best judgement and I'm sure it'll be fine.
