During the battle with Naraku, Kagome walks into the maelstrom and Sesshoumaru grounds her to keep her from being ripped a part by it. She then returns to Kaede's village with the others. But even with everything settled people shy away from her because of her power. At some point later she finds out she's immortal. At the festival to celebrate their victory her and Sesshoumaru begin to get close.
That's all I can remember but that is also the major plot line. It's been bugging me.
