If I remember correctly, Kagome and Sess are separated from each other for a period of time. She's pregnant, miserable, and stuck on her side of the well and her friends find out that she is pregnant. She makes the excuse that she misses him terribly and can't get in contact with him because he's in a part of South America that can't be contacted and doesn't know when he will be able to come back.
When Sess and Kagome reunite again, her friends come and visit without knowing that he's in the house. She answers the door without him and her friends are still trying to convince her that her husband has abandoned her. Sess comes out and tells her to go inside and proceeds to tell her friends that they are terrible friends and if they were truly her friends, they would have supported her instead of tearing her down or something along those lines...
