The lady k voted! It took me a few hours because my voting place changed when I moved earlier this month. They weren't sure where I needed to go. I live in DE and I don't think it took more than an hour after they sent me to the right place

I'm currently in the UK for schooling but I sent my absentee ballot in ages ago. I've voted in every presidential election since I've been eligible to vote

I voted too!

My dad got my momma and I up at about 4:30 this morning - we were numbers 6, 7, and 8 in line, and when the polls opened at 6, we were out in less than thirty minutes, stickers and all!

Good job everyone - we've exercised our right to be heard!

I voted!! Took my smalls with me and she got to see how easy the process is... it helps it was at the school. No stickers for us though.. I was a little disappointed, but we got right in, filled it out, then waited for the drop box. 15 minutes tops plus a potty break for smalls wasn't all that bad!

One of my biggest gripes is the people who don't vote but complain about the way "so-and-so" runs things. It's your duty and your right to vote. It's a privilege that not everyone has! The way I look at it, if you didn't vote, you don't have the privilege to complain about who's in office!

I voted, too.

I echo everyone's sentiment about the importance of this process. My parents were born in a "non-democratic" country, I grew up hearing horrible political stories all my life AND having just returned two weeks ago from visiting the motherland, I can attest that democracy truly is a wonderful thing.

I have my sticker!

My boss did the early morning vote thang, so I had to hold down the fort at work. Got to vote this evening, tho'. Shorter lines, tables with pens and pencils to fill in the ballot, and nice people who SMILED at me when I signed in (must have been the fluffy red hat ).

Go. Vote. It's a privilege and an honor, so make the effort.

Being at the polls was like, as my sister would say, like Animal Kingdom, where you would see large herds of buffalo. Instead, it was a large herd of voters. It was a lot of chaos and confusion, but it was worth it.

I want to HUG everyone who voted in this election, contributing to an uptick in voting by the young (on whom our future really does rest!) and in other areas.

I heartily thank all the Dokuga members who took the time to post their experiences and share them with us. If the 'karma fairy' missed upping the karma on anyone who posted, please let me know... such dedication - especially for those who faced long lines - MUST be rewarded somehow!

I got in line yesterday at about 7:15 a.m. and I waited about 20 minutes. I was the 115th voter ^o^

I try to vote in every election I can. As a woman, I treasure my right to vote since in some other countries, women are denied so much more than that (but we won't get into that here).

I unfortunately was unable to vote this year, for obvious legal age reasons, but I hope to be apart of the voting next election!

I was invovled in the last presidential election, I worked the polls this year I passed too much personal drama. But instead of absentee ballot I went in to a non busy polling place and voted. but then again califorina doesn't really have crowding troubles we really either vote early or absentee. so but I got what I wanted and I am happy with how california's voting went this year we might even pull out of the hole.

I didn't have to wait very long at all. It was almost 6 before I made it to the polls and I was afraid that I would have to wait a long time, but I didn't. I did have some a** jump ahead of me. I thought what the heck if he's in such a big hurry to vote then more power to him
