Emmaren sent me a message. Yes, holding stories hostage for reviews is strictly against the rules. When something like this is reported, we can just hide the story from being listed until the author can correct it.

Problem is where to report it! I had to dig up your e-mail addy from the dungeon on my main e-mail site (didn't think about the easy way-dun ask brain fried). Is there an easier way to report things? If not maybe there should be.

There's actually a 'Contact Us' at the bottom of each and every page, with different ways to get in touch. It was only recently moved there, as sort of a minor reorganization.

I see a contact form in the pretty near future.

Please tell me if I ever become a review whore. I do get so frustrated when i'm reading a good story and they give you a cliffy then demand reviews. NOT COOL!

I know this may sounds a bit radical but just bear with me...

If someone is review whoring, instead of wasting your time (unless you have a lot of it free I suppose with nothing else to keep you entertained) posting a tidal wave of nonsensical reviews, why not just stop reading the fic or fics by that writer?

If they actually give a damn about writing they will continue to post. If not then they won't and everyone walks away a happy camper.

But then, I advocate passive resistance. When I see a blatant review whore I make a point not to leave one. Simple as that.

I hate review whores, too, but we should also kinda place into a state of exalt those authors who put out their stuff regardless of reviews. There's one piece I'm reading and I absolutely LOVE it. I look at how many reviews she has and they are all from me. I don't know who else is reading her stuff, but I am damn happy she still puts them out. It almost feels like she's writing them just for me.

So this is my shout out to Celestical on ff.net even though you'll probably never see this. You rock, girl. Keep them coming cause I am eating them up!
