I am guilty of this one without realizing it I mix up she and he when i'm typing fast. Then there is the your/you're.

For some odd...very odd reason, I mix up 'at' and 'out.' Why? I have no clue, but now I read through my chaps to limit those irksome errors. My biggest peev is someone having spelling errors and here I am doing the same I am ashamed.

We all make mistakes (or mistacks, as I once saw it spelled), the key is to recognize your weak points and check for them before posting. Even AFTER posting, it is still a good idea to go through it one more time and check for errors. You can always go back and edit even after posting.

One that I see all the time is the mix up of quiet/quite/quit, a result from fast fingers on the keyboard?

personally i have problems with he/eh and that has to do with how fast i type LMAO I've done that one more times than i care to count

raped/rapped always cracks me up especially when the mood of the fic is so serious. All of a sudden the mood is just destroyed by a single word.

HaHa, Anno. Sometimes, I don't know how to use the ' apostrophe. Sometimes, I don't know about capitalization and punctuation when quotation marks are involved. Sometimes I refer to a reference book. Sometimes I avoid the matter, by changing the structure of the sentence. Sometimes, I just wing it, and hope no one notices!

Here's another I notice from time to time:

content/contempt

Talk about changing the entire meaning of a sentence.

There's always my nemesis, its versus it's. The apostrophe gets me every time.

knelt/kneeled (though i confess, idk the difference! >.<)

Yeah, the past tense of some irregular verbs get to me, too, and I sometimes have to look them up to see if I am using them correctly.

As far as I can tell for kneeled/knelt and smelled/smelt, either form is acceptable for both the past simple and the past participle, and it is the writer's preference of which one to use.

I remember reading MontiK's author parody fic and the chapter that dealt with grammer mistakes like this.

Let me add this one to the mix: sooth/soothe. And punctuation can drive me crazy too, I have a serious problem with the ellipsis (...), it is 3 dots, not 2, 4, 6 or more. And all punctuation used with quote marks goes INSIDE the quote marks. There is no trailing period or comma. Arrrrgggghhhh!
