Prologue

I do not own Inuyasha or the chracters. Characters are bit out of character but I do hope you guys enjoy the story :)

Prologue

Four years ago they had won Naraku and completed the Jewel. Kagome had made the wish and Shikon no Tama vanished from the world. Kagome herself had been send back the her time in the future, leaving everyone else behind. Now she sat on the steps of her family's shrine looking over to the old well house where everything had begun and ended. So many memories of going trough the well.Some were good and some were sad memories. Light summer breeze gently waved her hair as she sighed and buried her face into her hands. She had tried so many times to get trough the well and so far all her attempts had failed. The well had closed up after she had been send back home by the jewel. It was closed and so blocking her way back to her friends and loved ones, who she was missing dearly. Her fate had been sealed from the very beginning when her journey started, and even if she knew there was always tiny chance she wouldn't be able to return after the jewel was completely the reality still hurt. She had learned to consider many of the people there her friends and family.

After many attempts of her returning back to past had failed she returned back to high school and with lot of work she managed to graduate and attend college right after graduating barely having any free time between classes. She tried to keep herself as occupied as she could so the pain of not seeing her loved ones would ease, or so she thought. After graduating as the best of her class she was now one of the best experts of Japan's history and myths. The world was open to her as there was still many pieces of history to find and as many myths to solve.

It was her time to move on. Time to stop crying after the loss of her dear friends who she would never see again. It was time to stop crying after her adopted son who she would never see to grow up and finnish his fox demon studies. It was time to stop crying after her best friend who she loved like a brother.

`Inuyasha`, Kagome thought sadly. ´I wish you will find happiness and love. After everything you have gone trough you deserve to find that one person who will love with all her heart and soul. Who will accept you just as you are and help you grow into what you can be if you so decide.´

Kagome stood up and sighed. She brushed the dirt off from her blue jeans and brought her hand over to the half moon pendant she had purchased year after her return to the future. She bought it to remember the man who had stolen her heart and holds it with him back in the past.

´I miss you. I wish I had the time to let you know about my growing feelings towards you. Even if I know you would have not returned the same feelings towards me. We are so different from each other.´

Kagome brought her hands behind her neck and removed the half moon pendant. The moon that matched the one that adorned her the forehead of the man she had secretly started to love and respect. She walked over to the old well house and opened the door. She walked the old stairs down and stopped on front of the well. She kissed the pendant and placed it on the lip of the well. She placed her hand over the pendant lightly touching it. With teary eyes she gave small smile at the well and headed back up the stairs. She closed the door behind her and rested her head on the door.

"Goodbye Sango and Miroku. I hope your love towards each other will keep growing and the family you great with each other will grow and grow. I hope i will see some of your family here in the future. I miss you guys so much already, and it pains me that I will not be there when you get married or when your children will be born. Take care of each other."

"Shippo I wish you will grow to be smart and gentle and at the same time fearsome and loyal so you can protect your future mate and kits. Remember that momma will always be proud of you and I'm sorry you were left behind."

Kagome took shaky breath before continuing.

"Inuyasha please find happiness, you have deserved it. Find a mate who makes you happy and who you can protect and love. You will be amazing father to you children, and amazing mate to the woman who will steal your heart. I miss you so much my friend."

Tears were falling down now as the wind started to blow harder. A storm was fast approaching.

"My love please find a female that can crack that icy wall you have build around yourself. I wish you will be blessed with faithful mate and beautiful, strong pups who will make you proud no matter what. I love you and miss you so much.... Sesshomaru-sama. Goodbye"

She brushed the tears away, gave one last smile towards the well house and turned to return back to the shrine. It was her time to start moving on. Even if it felt like ripping her heart out of her chest. As Kagome walked up the stairs to get away from the up coming storm faint blue light emerged from the well. As the light dissapeared so had the moon pendant that she had left there.
