Kagome didn't know how long she had be lying on the beach, three hours? Four? Blinking she looked up at the star lit sky. 'SHIT!' she was late. Scrambling up to her feet she began to jog away from the beach, however she failed to notice the thin trail of seaweed crawling up the beach to her.
“Please father, don't kill me” Kagome whispered to herself. Today she was meet some Lord who she was to marry. Her father had warned her what would happen if she was late. Stopping, Kagome thought she felt something slide across her foot. Looking down she saw some stray seaweed around her ankle. Bending down to remove it, Kagome suddenly felt a string aura behind her. Slowly standing up she turned to see..... a giant, round. putrid green creature with deep grey eyes and creamy grey sea-foam around its base looking at her from the ocean.
Kagome screamed and trued to run from the repulsive creature, time seamed to slow down. The stray seaweed around her ankle suddenly tightened causing her to fall. Screaming again as she was slowly dragged by her ankles towards to deep blue foamy ocean. She spotted her personal guard running towards her, weapon raised. Trying to slow her journey to the sea Kagome dig her fingers into the soft sand hoping against hope she could stop herself from travailing and further.
“INUYASHA HELP ME!” She cried as the creature finally pulled her into the sea. Inuyasha wasted no time diving into the sea to try and follow the creature that took his friend; they were gone. Breaking the surface for air Inuyasha looked around to see if he could locate them, but his hanyou eyes could only see so much in this light.
“Damn it!” Lord Hikari was going to be pissed.

“I'm sorry my lord” Lord Hikari bowed to the intimidating demon lord before him. “I can assure you I have no idea where Lady Kagome is. She said she would be here to meet you. Please accept my apologies Lord Sesshomaru-samma” Lord Sesshomaru glared at the pathetic human before him.
“If the girl is not presented before this Sesshomaru by tomorrow afternoon heads will roll.” narrowing his eyes at the human lord “are we understood my Lord?” Sesshomaru took a gulp made by Lord Hikari as a yes and turned to leave, but was stopped by a ruckas outside. A familiar scent assaulted his noise, the half-breed.
“I don't care, we need to find her soon, ya got that.” Inuyasha's voice reached Sesshomaru's ears confirming what he thought. The half-breed he had presented to Lord Hikari eighteen years ago was still alive. “Don't make me get Sango, Miroku!” Inuyasha threatened.
“Inuyasha!” Lord Hikari's voice rang through the halls “What is the meaning of this? Where is my Daughter?” Inuyasha's ears fell flat against his head. Hikari's eyes widened, it was bad news. “Inuyasha. Where. Is. My. Daughter?” he repeated his voice getting louder by each word. Sesshomaru leaned in the doorway, interested in this development.
“Lady Kagome wanted to walk along the beach you gave her and gather seashells for that dress she was 'improving'. She got tired and wanted a nap, so I laid a blanket on the beach and left her to sleep whilst patrolling the area. I was attacked by multiple sea-demons. Then I heard Lady Kagome scream, and retuned to see a Shikai drag her into the sea. I dived in after them but lost them. I'm Sorry my Lord” Inuyasha hung his head in shame. Lord Hikari calmed down and held the boy's shoulder. “It's ok Inuyasha we will find her” Lord Hikari said.
“Lord Sesshomaru.” Hikari walked towards the demon lord. “Can I ask for your assistance in this delicate matter?” Lord Sesshomaru narrowed his again and nodded. “You have This Sesshomaru's aid.”

Kagome woke to feel something cold and slimy against her wrists and legs, she couldn't see anything. “Ah your awake!” a cold slimy voice rang through the darkness. “Lady Kagome of the western sea cost.” Kagome shivered as her full formal name rolled of the tongue of her capturer.
“and who may you be?” Kagome all but trembled to ask. “Me, my lady?” the voice asked “I am Lord Naraku of Lord Sesshomaru's council.” Lord Naraku? The man that had once asked her father for her hand in marriage and was refused? Gulping Kagome struggled to speak.
“What do you want Lord Naraku?” She stuttered. a gentle laugh escaped the darkness around her.
“My Lady I wish for you.” Naraku replied, suddenly the cave was filled with light and Kagome looked at her Kidnapper for the first time. Granted Naraku looked hot, his long black hair looked like the ocean itself, He was shirtless exposing his slightly chiselled chest all he wore were miasma purple houri and black boots. Kagome looked at the man before her, and was scared. His eyes, those deep blood red eyes were looking at her and she didn't like it at all. “You my sweet Kagome will be mine” 'You and the Shikon no Tama' Naraku thought with an evil smile.
“But my Lord I am already betrothed, but I don't know to whom” Kagome flinched as Naraku held her cheek, his nails cutting her skin, small rivers of blood flowed down her right cheek. “Then I will challenge him who ever he is. You WILL be mine” Naraku gave a look that signalled the conversation was over. Kagome whimpered as Naraku leaned close to her face.

Three days had passed since Kagome has been kidnapped, many feared for her life. Lord Hikari had been hell bent to find his daughter. Lord Sesshomaru had sent some of his water based yokai into the sea to see if they could find anything to lead them to the missing Lady.
“Inuyasha!” a woman strode over to the hanyou and gave him a stern look that would have frozen the ice lord himself. “Why did you leave Kagome alone?” Inuyasha began blabbing but none was understandable.
“Lady Sango” the woman span to look at her husband. “Inuyasha explained that he was in battle when Lady Kagome was captured” Sango looked at General Miroku and glared.
“I have looked all over this place and cannot find any trace of a battle, I bet Inuyasha was off rutting that miko...Again!” Inuyasha looked hurt. “I assure you Lady Sango and General Miroku I was not rutting with that whore of a miko”
“For once brother you speak the truth” a cold voice came from behind the group. All three members jumped and bowed as Lord Sesshomaru entered the clearing where Inuyasha's fight was supposed to have taken place. “This entire clearing smells of deceit, you Half-breed were tricked into believing you were fighting an enemy.” Sango looked at Inuyasha and back at the visiting Lord.
“My Lord” she began with a respectful bow “Do you know who took my sister?” Lord Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at her.
“yes this Sesshomaru knows who took the Lady Kagome” he replied

“WHAT” Naraku's voice rang through the cave. Kagome flinched, Naraku had made advances but had not taken her...yet. She feared it was only a matter of time. Kagome heard Naraku storm up to her and thrust a pink gem into her face. “Where is it? Where is the real Shikon no Tama wench?”
Kagome looked at him with blank eyes. This angered Naraku no end. He turned and walked two paces and suddenly turned and slapped her face. “I don't know” she cried. The creature that was holding her began to pull her into it slowly.
“If you wish to live to be my mate Lady Kagome, you WILL tell me where the real Shikon no Tama is!” Naraku yelled.
“I don't know, only Father and the Lord Sesshomaru knows” she cried as the creatures slimy body came in contact with her back. The creature halted.
“Then I guess I must ask them, Shikai you may play with her but remember I will be the one to claim her!”

Within a blink of an eye the creature was nothing more than a pile of ash surrounded by miasma. Naraku pulled Kagome's arm and lead her to a pool of water were a clan kimono was folded by the side.
“You will bathe, dress then come to be in the next room understood?” Naraku demeaned. Kagome nodded. Naraku left and Kagome quickly set about escaping from this hell.

“MY LORDS” a guard burst into the tent Lord Hikari was using as a temporary study. “We have found her” Both Lord Hikari and Lord Sesshomaru got to their feet and followed the guard to the beach were Kagome lay.
“we need a medic!” shouted Hikari “where is Kaede?” as if on cue an old lady appeared and began looking at the girl for any sign of injuries.
“we need to take her to her to a tent me lord.” said the old woman. Lord Hikari picked his daughter up and took her to his tent. Once inside he laid her on his bed and left her with Kaede and went outside. Sango and Miroku bound up to him with hope in their eyes. “She's going to be ok” Hikari told them softly.
An hour later Kaede left the tent. “Me lord” Hikari invited her to sit with him.
“How is she Kaede?” he asked, noticing Sango, Miroku, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru sitting near by listening.
“Physically she had been starved, the brute who took her neglected to feed her. She also has a burn on both her ankles and wrists but I have healed them and they will soon disappear. Mentally she is the same just a little scared.” everyone around the old miko let out a breath they all had been holding, well all except Lord Sesshomaru who just looked.
“Father” a small voice called from the tent and Hikari excused himself to see his daughter. Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango all hugged. Sesshomaru stood and walked to his tent, passing Lord Hikari's tent he heard a bit of what the young Lady was saying to her Father.
“He wanted the Real Shikon no Tama father, and he wanted to m...mate me” Sesshomaru heard the girl sob. “Lord Naraku said he was going to speak to you and force you to give him both me and the Shikon no Tama”
Something snapped in Sesshomaru's head. Naraku, one of his trusted council members, was behind this. Sniffing the air Sesshomaru could not smell and lies the girl had spoken the truth. A rare smile crept across the demon lord's handsome face, what Naraku didn't know was the Shikon no Tama belonged to Sesshomaru.

Naraku was beyond pissed. He was so mad there was no word to describe it. The girl, his only leverage was gone. She was his only chance to get the real Shikon no Tama and he had let her escape. The little wench would find the exit at the very bottom of the pool she left her to bathe in. but how could she hold her breath for that long? When the Shikai had brought her in, she was in an air bubble. So HOW? She had no powers that he could sense and it was a good four minuets swim underwater, however the wench wore the kimono he left her so the time underwater would have been longer. HOW did she survive?
Naraku watched as Hikari and Sesshomaru talked, no doubt the girl had blabbed and they knew his plans. No matter he could always summon his army and attack and force Hikari to tell him there the jewel was. Summing Omigumo he ordered an attack on the beach. He will have the Shikon no Tama AND Lady Kagome.

Bound and Humiliated Naraku looked up at Lord Sesshomaru who in turn gave the spider hanyou the worst death smirk he had. The attack had been a disaster, How did Sesshomaru get half his army to the cost without his knowledge? Yes the demon lord travelled with a maximum of fifty solderers so Naraku had one thousand demons knowing most of not all of Hikari's men would be killed. But no, Lord Sesshomaru had half of his entire army waiting in the shadows, a good ten thousand demons. Naraku has suffered a humiliating defeat.
Sesshomaru watched as Naraku continued to stare at him with a look of pure hatred and fear.
“Naraku, you should learn not to touch what belongs to this Sesshomaru” Naraku just glared at the demon lord. Sesshomaru began circling the dishonoured hanyou and continued. “Lady Kagome told us of your wish to see the real Shikon no Tama. That will be granted as your dyeing wish. You will look upon the real Shikon no Tama as you die” and with that Sesshomaru left the Hanyou to his final days alive.

Kagome stood looking at the demon lord before her as her father announced them as a married/ mated couple. This is what she was meant to be on time for. It had been a week since she had returned. After she had told her father about what she had experienced and learned from her 'stay' Naraku. Then her father had told her of the treaty with the demon lord.

“Kagome, when you born we were at war with Lord Sesshomaru” Lord Hikari looked at his daughter sadly as he told his story “Your mother was killed whilst she was trying to protect you and your sister. I was divested and ended up being captured by Lord Sesshomaru. I was locked in a cell when one day I was dragged to Lord Sesshomaru's Study...”
*Lord Hikari's Flashback*
Two guards held the young Lord Hikari as they entered Lord Sesshomaru's personal study. Once inside Hikari saw a three year old Sango sleeping on in a chair, however there was no sign of the one year old Kagome. Then Hikari looked at Lord Sesshomaru who had his back to them.
“Leave us” Ordered Sesshomaru. Once the guards were gone Lord Sesshomaru turned and Hikari let out a strangled gasp. The fearless demon lord as cradling Kagome in his arms.
“Please my Lord don't harm her, please” Hikari begged. He flinched when Sesshomaru laughed. Normally that meant someone was going to die and Hikari feared for both his daughters lives.
“This Sesshomaru would never kill a defenceless pup, especially a female pup.” Sesshomaru explained with a scary smirk on his face. “I have a deal for you Hikari, I will overlook this war you have raged on me and grant you back your lands and my protection, in exchange on her eighteenth year you will give me Kagome as a bride and mate.
Hikari looked at the demon lord in confusion. “My lord why Kagome?”
“Two reasons Lord Hikari, one is my beast calls for her and has marked her as my mate-to-be and...”
*End Lord Hikari's Flashback*
Kagome held her fathers arm, understanding flashed in her eyes. She had already been marked to be Lord Sesshomaru's mate. “Father I understand and I will go through with the ceremony when ever Lord Sesshomaru wants it” she said looking deep in his eyes.

“I am Lady Kagome Higurashi of the Western Lands, Mate to Lord Sesshomaru. I am also The Shikon no Tama.” to prove her claim Kagome released a seal that was placed on her and Naraku felt the power he had been craving. Then it made sense, Kagome hadn't swan out of the cave at all she had used her powers to escape.
“You lied to me Kagome” Naraku said
“No Naraku I didn't lie, I found out the day before I married Lord Sesshomaru. I never told you a single lie in that cave, my powers saved my and I had no idea what i did”
And with that Kagome and her escorts left the grounds and Sesshomaru raised his sword.

Years had passed Kagome and Sesshomaru lived happily with three pups two male and a female. The male pups were like mini Sesshomaru's they were called Taisho and Himuro whist their little girl Sakura was like their mother. Kagome was expecting more pups on the way and Sesshomaru couldn't wait. Yep for now life for the Western Lord and his family was peaceful, but what will the future bring?
