Are you lost lil' girl?
sorry guys this is stilll under construction so bare with me!
Kagome stretched as padded around her house in her pjs and socks. Her long black hair was pulled back in to a loose braid that fell down her back and swayed from side to side with every step she took. The early moring light flitered threw the windows giving every thing that it touch an almost heavenly glow to it including Bayo who basked in the warmth coming threw the back door in the kitchen. Smiling she watched him stretch out then stand up turn in a few circles before settling back down to continue napping. He truely looked peaceful, that was until. His golden eyes popped open and he suddenly raced across the kitchen and into the living room making hissing and meowing angerly as he went.
'What's gotten into him?' Kagome thought to herself as she strolled over to his abandoned place and peered out the the open door. What she saw there shocked her slightly. A little girl with long choppy black hair and dressed in an orange and white checkered kimono stood on the steps looking up at the trees. Her eyes were a chocolate color that reminded Kagome of rich hot chocolate.
"Hey, there," Kagome said softly as she pushed open the backdoor, "What are you doing here? Are you lost little girl?"
The girls just smiled softly and nodded, "Rin, wondered to far from home. May Rin stay with you till her Papou can come get her?"
Not thinking twice about it she quickly nodded and held out her hand to little Rin, "Come inside," She told her, "Are you hungry? I was just about to make some breakfast."
Rin nodded vigorously, "Very! Please!"
Smiling Kagome helped her up onto the bar stool so she could watch and talk to her, "When is your Papou coming to get you, Rin?"
"As soon as he can," Rin stated as she swinged her legs back and forwarth not paying much mind to what Kagome was doing. Instead she looked around the room at all the different things that sat on shelves and counters. A basket of fruit, books and white-knots. They seemed to fascinate the little girl more than any thing.
"What is his name?" Rin asked making Kagome look at her then at the picture she pointed at. It sat on the counter next to all the pictures of her family.
"Which one?" Kagome asked hoping she wasn't asking about the one of her father.
"The one with the little girl and the older man," Rin explained.
"My father and me," Kagome told her. Hearing the emptiness in her own voice made her hurt on the inside more than she ever thought she could ever hurt. A clenching pain swelled up in her breast as she thought of the last time she had seen her father. He had been going off to work when he had lost control of his car and swerved off the side of a bridge. He mother hadn't had the heart to tell her at the time that she would never see her father again so she had told her that he had to go on a business trip far way. It wasn't untill she turned nine that she had learned the truth.
"Where is he?" Rin asked softly.
"On a business trip far away," Kagome said with a sad smile to the girl. They finished breakfast in better spirited conversation.
As it turned out Rin was seven years old. Her mother and father had both died in a car accedent when she was just a year old. She was in and out of the orphanage till her Papou had come there one day on a business trip and found her playing with some wooden blocks by herself. Rin also had an unusual allergy where she was allergic to most types of metals. Kagome couldn't help but wonder how the girl was going to make a living in the future. Perhaps she could... Kagome shook her head at herself as she washed the dishes. Rin was walking around the house looking for Bayo. Every now and then she would find him and then he would scurry away before she had a chance to catch him and hid again. It made Kagome smile to watch the never ending game of hide and seek.
Kagome was wiping down the counters when a soft knock sounded at the back door. Looking up she saw a tall figure with long silver hair that fell to his knees standing with his back towards the door. He was clad in a black business outfit that clung to him in all the right place. He seemed to be watching some thing going on out in the yard when she opened the door.
"Can I help you, Sir?" She asked with a slight smile as she looked up at the back of his head. At the sound of her voice he turned around and her body went nuclear and mind on vacation. He was tall and handsome as could be. His eyes were an enchanting golden color that seemed to stare into her very soul from that aristicratic face. Well sculped nose cheeks and lips that a sculpter or artist would die to copy. Her body tingled slightly as he looked her up and down.
"I'm here for Rin," He stated in a soft baritone voice that made shiver. Gods he was amazingly handsome.
"Oh umm.. She's inside... ummm... Come in please and I'll go find her for you!" Kagome studdered as she backed up from the door way and went to find her. She found her in her bedroom looking underneath her bed at Bayo, "ummm... Your Papou is here, Rin."
