Shivering in the cold, sat a young girl, her body racked with sobs. The night was that of a freezing winter snow and

anyone with common sense could see she was not going to last much longer.But the girl never once made any move to search

for shelter. She simply sat waiting in the frigid night air. The moon was full and the stars were bright. They seemed to be at

odds with girl gazing longingly at them. Not to say she was without beauty, but that beauty was wrought with sorrow and

pain. And for the life of her, it created an even more stunning image. Dark eyes glazed with tears, pale form shaking with

despair she waited patiently for the night to take her. Suddenly her laughter cut through the cool air as though it were a knife. It

was the dark laughter of one who knows their time has come. An ironic thought flitted across the plains of her mind and

another dark chuckle slipped past her trembling lips.'I who had never given up hope on ayone, had given up on myself.' The

sad thing was, she was past the point where she was still able to care anymore. Misery, grief, and anguish poured down on her

and she was swept away in it's dark abyss. For her it had all been just too much, this was her breaking point. Love, life,

meaning it had all been stripped from her in one fatal swoop. Sesshomaru,my eternal love, know that you have won. Know that

you have broken me. Gone from me is the will to live, gone is the spark of hope, gone is joy of life. Know that you are the sole

creator of my demise and rejoice. And with that the world turned dark, and gone from this world was the sparkle that was

Kagome Higurashi.
