Emperor's Sinister Plan by Kagome

Emperor's Demands For Power

In most Fairy Tales, it involves beautiful lands, creatures, and song... not in the Northern Kingdom. The sky seemed gloomy all the time, and the people feared their Emperor. Afraid he would lock them up, throw them into slavery, or even just exicute them.

The Northern Kingdom was not a happy place. The only thing the Kingdom was well known for was it's Population and size, being the biggest and most powerful.

In the giant palace, lived the greedy King. Always perched among his throne or planning a sceme. He was now a single father of a little girl who he barely even spent time with. Then it hit him... MARRAGE! If he was to have his daughter marry a Prince from another Kingdom, his Kingdom would grow even more, and he would sure to be even more powerful, and he knew just who to use. With that, he sent some soldiers to go and CONVINCE the King of the Western Lands to have his eldest son marry his little girl.

At first, his offer was refused so the Emperor eventually came to threatening which worked. His daughter, Princess Kagome would be betrothed to the Western Lands eldest son Prince Sesshomaru. To make sure his plans would work, he decided to have the two children spend the summer with eachother. But first he was to convince his daughter...

One day, he sat in the throne room on his throne, his daughter standing infront of him with her hands behind her back, head slightly tilted downward and slightly shifting leg to leg.

"But Daddy, I don't wanna!" Kagome whines after the news of her new betrothed.

"I'm doing this for you, daughter," The Emperor lies with a kind smile. "I need to be sure your with someone who will treat you well and protect you. I found the perfect suiter and I'd wish you would meet him... do it... for me, please!"

Kagome could never refuse her father's pleads, she loved him so much and he took very good care of her even if he wasn't around her often due to his Royal duties. So as badly as she didn't want to, she nodded her head in agreement.

"Thankyou," he gets off his throne and kneels down to her and pulls her into a hug. "Your the best daughter I could ever ask for. You make me so happy!"

Kagome smiled and hugged her father back. It was times like these she really enjoyed.

After releasing his daughter, he stood up and beamed down upon her.

"You know you have my best interests at heart," he smiles to be sure she was going to go through with this.

"Yes Father," she nodds smilling back.

"Now why dont you go and play," he nudges her playfully. "Daddy has work to do!"

"Yes Father," she bows to him before skipping out of the room.

Once out of the throne room and the doors shut, she stopped and lowered her head sadly. She really didn't want to do this.

"Are you alright my Princess?" the one throne room door guard asks worried.

As feared as her father was, Kagome had never got his personalitly. She was most shy and gentle but only the people who lived in the castle knew about that. She had befriended all the servents and guards but had to keep it hushed, if her father knew she was being spoken to by the low class, he was sure to have a fit. He had always told her that there is a reason commoners were seperated by Nobels and Lords, and it was best to leave it at that. Kagome didn't care though, she didn't have anyone else to talk to, only her teachers who taught her grace and manners.

"I'm fine," she smiles at the guard.

"Not the best meeting with your father?" he asked in concern. "You look awfully down!"

She shakes her head side to side, "N-No it's nothing!"

"Hm... If you say so," he smiles.

She politely bows to the guard, "I'll be going to my room now!"

He nodds.

She turns and skips down the hall again to her room. She entered the giant doors, the room inside was 1/10 the size of the throne room but still rather large. The rooms wall was pink with real gold lining. her floor was pure white marble that glowed when the light from her balcony shined in. One corner was covered in stuffed animals and toys to keep her happy, some of them bigger then her. Another corner had her walk in closet full of gowns and shoes, though half of them she never wore. Besides the rest of the room, her bed stuck out the most, it was in the dead center of the room. Her bed was like a big round circle with clear pink curtians that hung around it from the ceiling.

She slowely walked over and leaped onto her bed, laying on her stomach. A few minutes later, she could hear the guards outside her bedroom door whisper, curiously she walked over and pressed her ear against them.

"-Something should really be done about him..." one of them spoke. "At this rate the world will be plunged into a dark era!"

"I know," another replies. "But what can we do... there is no way I'm going to take the risk of my family being in danger..."

"Heck, if it wasn't for the Princess, I'd have killed the Emperor's ass by now," a deep voice grunted.

"Shhhh, keep your voice down," the first guard paniced.

"Hmpf!"

Kagome, feeling a bit uneasy slowely opened the door and looked at the guards. When they noticed her they all gave a violent jerk of suprise.

"P-Princess!" one of them gulped. "I-Is something the matter?"

She smiles at them, "No, I um... was just wondering..."

"Hm?" the three guards looked at her.

She looks up at them again, "I-I'm having a Tea Party, would you like to attend?"

Relief spread across their faces and they all nodded and entered the room. She lead them over to her Tea Set area where it was stacked with fresh food everyday for her. Each guard took a seat on the rather small chairs, having done this before. She politely pours some tea in each of their cups with a smile.

"So tell me Princess," one of them began the normal Tea Party chit-chat. "I heard a rumor you getting married?"

She takes her seat and slowely nodds.

"You dont seem happy?" he takes a sip of his tea.

"Well..." she begins
