what a day

The apartment was dark and empty not a sound was heard other than the air system running. Which was a welcome reprieve after the day he had. It honestly seemed like the universe was out to get him. Truly anything that could have gone wrong did.  

The day started off with a flat tire which made him late for his first meeting of the day. A parking ticket at lunch and then coffee being spilt on him at the office where he spent the day putting nonsensical little fires out everywhere. And let's not forget the sudden down poor that occurred when apparently of all days he left his umbrella at home. Then to put icing on the cake the grocery bags busted open when heading to the car.
