This chapter was absolutely delightful!  I liked the imagery of a worried Rin curled up on Sess, and him reassuring her.  A small cookie bribe seals the deal!

I love Kagome's Percocet/vodka induced behavior!  You can feel his burn at her pushing all the buttons on the elevator.

(The description of her looking like an escaped mental patient had me rolling, btw!)

She just cracked me up as she discusses with the doctor her physical ailments and self-medication practices... LMAO!!!  I like that he just takes it all in stride, and sees the interesting person beneath the illness... he wants to ask her out!

"Snorlaxagome..." very nice, and soooo attractive!  This part was particularly sweet.  I can see him sitting there, entertaining Rin with books, while they both keep an eye on Kagome.

At the end, it is so poignant they both know Rin is desperately is trying to pull the threads they are weaving into each other's lives into a family she can wrap herself up in.  This is so very much something a child would try to will into being.  You portrayed it very, very well...   I can't wait to see what comes next.

You captured the anxiety of an inexperienced caretaker confronted with a sick child very well!  When everything is going fine, you think you have it all under control.  It is when they look and feel so bad, while you are there helpless, doing the little things you can do, that you realize the control is just an illusion.  

As usual, the dialogue is perfect and you keep all the players in character, while allowing them to grow into each other at a natural pace.  You are able to keep the story interesting even when describing the day-to-day happenings and things move along in a nice flow.  

I like the ending!  She has no health insurance, she is in need of a Dr., and she is naked under the covers in front of an extremely sexy man she likes... not looking or feeling her best.  It is just plain cruel for you to do THAT to her, LOL!

Hah! I knew she'd be sick.  With the way strep and the flu travel around our office between mothers with children and vice versa, there's little chance you also WON'T get sick by proxy.

I'm glad she apologized and they went back to their normal pandering back and forth.  I feel as if their excessive working is building up to something. Hrm..  Great chapter!  I miss your writing.

Please, more.  I love this so much.
