I love the story so far. And you are right on about the KFC chicken for Christmas dinner. Japanese people always seem to be so surprised that Americans don't all eat KFC and Christmas Cake for dinner. BTW 5,000 yen is about 50 dollars. Usually just take off two zeros. So 100 yen is 1 dollar, etc. I look forward to the rest of your story! I always enjoy your writing.
