Well this was interesting to read. The tone of it seems dark, and one could think The Lord to be Sesshomaru, but I'm still not convinced. Something tells me it's another as the western Daiyoukai.
Kaede's reaction is mildly surprising, thank goodness Matsu handled her so well.
Shippo's lessons with his foxfire was rather brilliant. It's nice to see the interaction between kit and father :)
Omg I loved this chapter, and I did laugh throughout it. The mermans initial panicking, thinking she was going to leave, then confusion of what she was going to do, then daziness to her stripping was awesome.
And his reaction to Kagome cleaning herself-hilarious. And the mention of bad fish, lol.
It was cute when we wrapped himself around her and kissed her.
I'm still guessing at who the merman is...nothing solid yet.
I wonder if Kagome's dreams will actually become reality in the future?
And that silly woman is crazy to bathe and then purify herself in such conditions. Hopefully she won't take ill from it.
Ohh I love Shippo in this, and Matsu (well done with his character!) is awesome too. Rin is as always adorable too :). I love when Miroku asks Rin who she will marry and her immediate response, haha. Shippo sure got himself good there. I went back and read that a couple more times just to giggle over it.
I wonder if the Western Daiyoukai is Sesshomaru? It sounds like it might be but I'm not fully convinced...

Oh wow, I think this is a favourite chapter. It's so...intense! I love how you've wrote the descriptions of the interaction between the merman and Kagome as well as the shore and ocean.
If this is how the rest of the story will be, I'm shivering with delight and can't wait to read more.
