I have to admit, I do not at all understand why so many people want Miroku and Hoshihikari together. I actually despise your Miroku. Talk about how he's grateful for Hoshihikari for not turning him away because of his curse and helping him in spite of it? What was Sango, a bump on a log? Sango would have died for him more than once when he had his cursed hand, and protected him when he couldn't fight because of sucking up too much of Naraku's poison! I guess her devotion to him and her aid in spite of his curse is worth jack shit though, because your Miroku is cruel, thoughtless, and worst of all, insensitive. He throws away everything Sango has ever done for him in one moment, and is not at all regretful for it. Oh yes, he regrets she saw it, and regrets that he hurt her, but he doesn't regret doing it, and that's what is really sticking in my craw right now. Hoshihikari talks about how Sango doesn't deserve Miroku, but she has it backwards - HE doesn't deserve HER, and I really don't think there's much that you can do that won't make me hate Miroku for the duration of this story.

Now, I don't want this to reflect on myself too harshly, so I will say I really love everyone else. As much as I didn't enjoy Inuyasha's previous actions, he's redeeming himself in his care towards Sango, and in going through with becoming human. His decision is flawed, but the desire he demonstrates in his actions is admirable and bittersweet (which reminds me that Miroku was aware he was punishing and tricking Inuyasha! UGH! XD)

Anyway, I distracted myself again. I love what you've done with Sesshoumaru and Kagome, and I really like the way your pulling instinct (demon and dog) into this story. Your making Kagome adapt, but not at a pace she can't handle, making her still feel like Kagome. Sango is still who she always was - a little quick to anger and action, but a caring, loving woman all the same. One who doesn't deserve what Miroku has done to her. Inuyasha is, as I said redeeming himself.

So really, outside of Miroku, I love what you're doing with all the other characters, and I look forward to what happens next.

Poor Miroku, so conflicted. Sounds like he needs to have a chat with Kagome since she's going through epic changes as well.  I, too, want to know the answer to Miroku's ques, "Why him, HH?" They are all alike, this family of inus, sweatin' humans.

Poor Sango, she's in a so not pretty place. Inuyasha's letter was hilarious...I know it wasn't meant to be, but if Inu were ever to write a letter, that would be it. Just classic.

Can't wait to read more about HH's and Miroku's history...or rather HH's back story, she's beyond intriguing. Def. one of the coolest original characters I've read in a long time. Wow, I wonder if her own daughter knew about her penchant for bedding these human monks?
