This is still my favorite Ess/Kag fic out there. Once a year I go back and read it again. Thank you for writing this!!
I really love this story and must have read it a bunch of times. I would really love to read a sequel if you ever consider writing one. However, the ending was perfect and I would be just as happy to continue reading it. But I'm curious to see how the thief would reinsert himself in their lives and how Midoriko will be involved. I would really like to see if he changed and how the love triangle would go in the future. It really seemed to me that in the last episode the thief was regretful of not trying harder and was upset that he could have unknowingly had Kagome's affection and lost it. He seemed to really care about her romantically, whether he was in love with her is up for debate but I truly think he wanted to have a relationship with her.
Wow! Just wow!! amazing story!!
::lets out breath I've been holding since like, chapter 32::
Soooo much tension in the last arc of this story. Whew. My heart was RACING during parts (like when the Thief made a break for it outside Myouga's apartment). Very satisfying ending, though of course it's tough when a layered character like Nah Rah Ku is finally only a bad guy in the end. The past visit with Lyka was wonderful, and how you tied in Kagome feeling like she'd been to the temple before.
Overall, a VERY entertaining read, full of excitement, tender moments, and twists. Thank you so much for crafting this, and I can't wait to get lost in your other works!
Loved this story tell me there is snipit of the reunion. I'm both excited and terrified and NEED to know that girls safe ????????
Alright, so I severely overestimated my reading speeds, lol. This is obviously going to be a multi-day journey :P. Now that I'm halfway through your tale, I thought I'd leave more detailed feedback.
Strengths: Super fleshed-out world. Awesomely creative premise (a lust demon who survives on women's orgasm - THIS is why fanfiction exists, my friend, lol. No, but really, the whole temple site, archeology background, adventure-thing you have going here is captivating). Believable characterizations of all the main cast (Sango is a kickass best friend, Nah Rah Ku is layered and complex, Kagome is strong, without being overpowered, confidant without being overly-sassy, reflective, brave, etc., Sesshoumaru is lovely as a slightly-nerdy, reserved professor.) Expert pacing, scene creation, expanding relationships and backstory in fluid, natural ways, incorporating elements of danger, fluff, and humor seamlessly. Truly - there's so much goodness in here it makes me giddy. You know how to craft an enthralling experience!!
Also, best funny moment so far - when Kagome was doing something (can't quite remember, maybe talking to the prof) and she mentally went around in her head, slapping Lyka on each pass. I almost did a spit-take all over my Ipad from laughing so hard.
Areas for Growth: So, this gem DOES need a thorough going-over edit-wise. Lots of little typos (omitted words, extra words, missing commas, oft-repeated phrases) that DO sometimes detract and distract. Also, and maybe I'm alone in this... but I'm hoping all your lovely lemon scenes don't get gratutious (Kagome's dream on the plane ride home of both boys comes to mind). This story is lovely, and it has nothing to do with its abundant citrus. Plus, Sesshoumaru's unfortunate circumstance is a tricky tight-rope to walk - one you've handled well up to now. His privacy, body, even private thoughts, have been completely violated, and he's been exposed in so many ways. I just hope Myouga and Kagome will be able to get him in the loop soon.....
Thank you for crafting such a unique tale. Hope my feedback didn't offend!
So, first. This story is amazing. Engrossing, developed, steamy. Such a great Anne Rice's The Mummy vibe. Second, I am an idiot. I literally JUST made the Naraku connection. Ermergerd ::palms face::. Will leave a more detailed review after I probably pull an all nighter to finish this.
Once again - love this, love you. Never EVER stop writing.
This was an amazing story! I loved it! I would definitely recommend it. I loved the whole concep. I was going to try and point out my favorite parts but honestly I loved it all! ????
I am definitely going to be checking out your other stories next!
Omg!!! I cried tear for the Thief in chapter 42. I think when he realized what he could have truly had and lost, when he shed that single tear with his anguish cry is what made me cry. My heart broke and I felt his pain. He didn't realize that he loved or that she loved him just as much she loves sesshomaru. Then to have him break out the jar only to have watched them from a distance. To see the life he could have had and to interact with their daughter. Is she his new target or away back infor him? Did he learn to love and is he willing to share or what?? I have soooooo many questions. I ho po e you decide to do a sequel. Maybe then some of my questions could be answered.
Oh my god is there a sequel to this? This is a great story and with the way u have left it open ended like this there has to be a sequel!?! Great job btw !?!
That was such an amazing read! The BEST erotic story to exist. Holy moly. Thank you. So much depth and not just smut. You're absolutely brilliant.
Truly loved this. Well done and written well. Creative. Still going gaga over the archaeology. Fantastic!
NAH RAH KU IS SUCH AN A-HOLE! OMGSH. This chapter made me gasp when he pulled That stunt. Thanks for making me want to pommel a fictional character. Lol
You totally have me sympathizing with Nah Rah Ku. As much as I want her and Sesshoumaru to get their act together, right now I feel bad for him too.
GAH!!! They are killing me!!! So good. So adorable. So...switch your class NOW, woman!
DYING for them to go on a date! Lol
I’m loving the frustrating, slow burn between these two. The coffee moment was perfection.
Still very much enjoying this. I love all the peeks into archaeology and the way you’ve painted Sesshoumaru as a professor, esp. Kagome’s relationship to him as a student and the struggle there. Miroku...that little sh*t. Lol
