I agree with Kagura, they deserve each other. I may have calmed down some like Sessh but I still think she was honestly to blame for this one. After all the months they spent together and she took something this fagile and blew it way out of proportion...on the other hand, I do believe he is at fault for her decision to leave. He has waited way too long to talk about this. He should have at least called and told her he needed a day or two to cool down but he too failed to see this was Kagome and she was a highly explosive and emotional being. He needed to man up and get to some kind of understanding before time made it too unbearable to do anything. Well, whatever happens here I cannot even begin to guess because so much has occurred that it's totally screwed up. You never said there was a happy ending and though we all wish it, sometimes it makes more sense to keep them apart. I guess I'll just wait for the outcome and hope those two emotionally handicapped people can get it straight for once in their life. Love what you're doing with this. So much drama and angst...JEN
Go, Sess, Go! I hope he can get his act together this time...
You are so incredibly cruel to our heroes! I love it. And I completely understand why Kagome didn't accept his proposal. He HAS been very passive-aggressive, and running hot and cold with her. Even in his own internal monologue, which she can't hear (thank god), he has been very wishy-washy, even though he is very attracted to her. He's like, "do I really want to marry her?" All that is truly obvious is that he wants to nail her. Even after she was attacked, he didn't spend much time by her side in the hospital. So he hasn't really shown he loves her. Not good enough. Not for MY Kagome.
God I love your stories but name this last cliff hannger was just pure evil of you. please keep up your fabulous writing.
Ok now...got to cool down before I say some naughty words...hmmm, oh the hell with it! She's such a JACKASS!!! After everything they have gone through since her attack and she STILL doesn't get it? I wouldn't blame Sesshoumaru if he left her this time. I mean, I know they're both alittle too quick to think the wrong thing but I honestly thought she had gotten that under control. She really needs....oh dang, I don't know what but she needs help. Paul should have kept his big mouth shut and she would have never thought of that when he proposed. Did she honestly believe that Sesshoumaru, of all the people she knows, would use her like that by proposing to her in front of her friends, family and his brother? Damn girl DOESN"T deserve him! What a...ok, I'm going to stop now and help her pray that Sesshoumaru can find it inside himself to react to her tears and gut wrenching sobs that she does love him and that she was confused because of what Paul had said and he seemed so calm over his hearing in front of the board...and now I'm just rambling so I'm going now...she's such a jackass...ok I'm gone... JEN

He's going to ask her to marry him isn't he!?!?!?!?!?!??!! That makes me so HAPPY! :))
update soon
So, does this mean Sesshoumaru has come to a decision? I have never seen a fic where he has such confusion over whether to marry/mate before. His feelings are so real. I liked the way you portrayed all his thouhts and emotions about this. I wonder if when they have children that his family traits will carry on? JEN
Adriana (Chapter 38) - Sat 01 Aug 2009
So IS Sesshoumaru going to eventually propose to Kagome?
And what's going to happen to his career?
I LOVE this story, by the way. I REALLY liked the way Sesshoumaru developed and the whole DNA/genetics thing was a pretty cool twist too. :)
Update soon
Aww, that was sweet! I'm so glad Sess finally made it. The upside to Kagome's misery is that maybe the old kodger Gus said something to bring Sess to his senses.
Can't wait to see Dave get what he deserves, that slime!!! But OMG is marriage a possibility in the near future for our favorite duo? Guess ill have to look out for the next chapter! Well done on this story, i always enjoy your writings!!

You know, I almost never everevereverevereverever leave a review, but I think I just HAD to for this one. First of all, I think I've read most of your stories, and they're like crack. Seriously, once I read them, I can't wait for the next one to come up.
That's probably my problem.
I hadn't started reading this fic until about 2 days ago and figured I would read a couple of chapters before studying for my midterm. Damn, was I wrong. I stayed up until four in the morning and caught up to the your fanfic. You're just that great. Also, I figure out who the guy was a couple of chapters before it was revealed. This is an awesome idea of writing a story like this since you are going into the criminal justice area.
Keep up the good work!

Good ol' Gus is right on the money! :D I'm glad Sesshoumaru ran into him. I'm pretty sure Sessh will make it up to Kagome too. ;) Maybe even with a proposal?! LEGASP! That would be great! XD And I'm truly glad that they decided to agree working on that whole jumping to conclusions and such. They've worked too hard to mess their relationship on that kind of nonsense! Patience is a virtue!
Anywho, I can't wait for the next chapter! Keep up the great work! :D
I'd say somebody up in the heavens is trying to get Sessh to admit a few things to himself. Would, if his canines not been fixed, the bite he gave Kagome mean a mating? He did taste her blood and went feral after that, so? Just a thought. Well, I've got to go for now. JEN
Did you take a slight offense when I questioned your lack of descriptiveness in the last written encounter? Good...if this is what I can get as a result, well, then, I am more than satisfied with this chapter. Oh Yeah Baby!!! I am also extremely happy that that nut case of slime got caught. The only thing I would have done differently wwould be to take his cell phone and break it in front of his face letting him know that the next time it just may be him that is broken...but, the point was made none the less. It turned out oh so well in the end...and again, I bow to your kindness for indulging me with the extra chapter after you must have been tired from your outing with your kids. Oh and tell them hello and thank you for allowing Mama the time to indulge a fan's obessiveness to her writing...You are loved, Lady O!!! JEN
P.S. I do believe we are in the same time zones, as I am just 10 miles outside of Springfield, Missouri. Ta!
You know I adore you ,right? My daughter, PJ, told me to tell you she can attest to me being an extra good girl. I even helped alittle with dinner, which is alot for me to do right now. Anyway, the chapter was excellent. I really loved when Sesshoumaru tried to secretly sniff Kagome to see if InuYasha touched her. So, funny and then InuYasha tells on him. Merry Christmas, InuYasha is IN the house!!! Not the holiday Sesshoumaru was expecting to have, I'm sure. Thanks, my friend! JEN
Not in the mood for alittle more descriptiveness in the sexapades? I so love you're adding alittle more of InuYasha in this. He's so opposite of Seshoumaru and the way you portray the two brothers is so entertaining. If I'm a good girl for the rest of today will you put up another chapter tonight? I'm always good but I'll promise to be on my bestest behavior....please? I just can't seem to get enough. JEN
So, they were going through the he thought-she thought fear after the first hurdle. That means they didn't consummate their love that night they had the discussion? Yeah, I could see where doubt could seep in. Sesshoumaru really needs to take a page out of InuYasha's book and embrace his heritage. Somewhere through all of this he let his confidence and take charge nature go on hiatis and it seems maybe now that they are physically bonding and his inner nature can finally confirm everything he'll allow himself to be who he always should have been. I still want to know where his familiar markings are. Come on, Lady O, indulge my inner fangirl, please??? I can't wait to see how Kagome reacts to his "jacking off" from her own pictures she had given him. She doesn't realise that he isn't one to use self gratification but her poses were just too overwhelming for a starved man to handle. JEN
Communication is such a wonderful thing. Too bad that two otherwise intelligent people seem to be lacking in that area. With your writing, you have managed to bring out all of the angst, the insecurities, and utter despair each of the characters feel. Neither understands the actions of the other and they allow their fear of rejection to make matters worse. So true to life. People can have the courage of a lion, until it comes to their feelings. Then that courage goes south for the winter. It's so refreshing to read a story that doesn't rush things in a totally unbelievable way. You've given the readers drama, romance, angst, humor, and a host of other things that have combined for a very enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to the next chapters.
One thing I really love about all your stories, is that they go above and beyond expectations. At the point where the reader is sitting back and thinking that it will wind up in a chapter or two, and getting ready for that feeling of regret that comes with the ending of a great story, you throw a curve ball. I thought that when Sess admitted that he, as well, was not a normal human, they would be reconciled. I should have known better. I love when you make those two suffer. They are just so difficult, and you make it so fun to watch!
