What era is the story set in?  I only ask because of Kagome's miko powers being brought up as something ancient and thought not to of existed in a long time and Sesshomaru being surprised by it's aura. 

Also, thank you so much for giving us definitions of the Japanese phrases and words.  I get frustrated when I read stories with foreign words and phrases that are intermingled and I have no idea what they mean...some I can guess at their possible meaning but I'm never right.  lol  :)
