I enjoyed yes the opening chapter and setup. I look forward to seeing your resolution—though I'm torn between hoping he finds Kahome right away and hoping it takes him years. Either way, I hope she makes him work for it because any explanation he gives her (and how long it took for him to come looking) will sound like he wants/needs to keep using her.
