Hello Everyone!

My pen name is Natsume2 and I am 28 year old woman living in the Last Frontier. I'm a die-hard Inuyasha fan, along with a whole lot of other manga and anime that would be too long to list.

My favorite type of fanfiction is when the fics use solid plots and real historical or cultural aspects of the society the fic/manga/anime is taking place in because it gives readers depth and brings flavor to a fic.

I try to put that in my writings with things like the proper names of clothes, weaponry, historical accuracy, or as much 'cannon-based' knowledge that exists.

Call me weird, that's just how I am.

Unexpected Variance: She had made the wish and was returning to the future when an unexpected variance occurred in the course of fate. One that led to landing in an era, and quite possibly reality, where a certain yokai family was not broken. **RE-VISED***

History and Creative License: The facts behind the history. There are things mentioned in Unexpected Variance that may have been briefly or extensively mentioned to give it an authentic feel of being in Kamakura Japan. To those not willing to do the hours *coughdayscough* worth of searching the internet for these subjects I am creating this companion piece to help you make sense of why and what the reasoning behind it is. **Moved to AO3 profile due to Dokuga fanfiction restrictions**

6/20/2017: I have finally returned! Real life sucked.

Anyway, after looking over my old UV fic I realized I had sold my vision of it short. It doesn't help I'm my own Beta.

Five years is a long time to enhance an author's writing experience and outlook (read, I'm more of a fact nerd than ever before) so as an apology to UV fans and especially for myself I have revised Unexpected Variance into something more solid.

At first it will feel the same, but before long there will be obvious differences. As a further treat I am making a companion piece to UV titled "History and Creative License". The description of which is written above.

I hope my readers can forgive me for taking so long and I appreciate your patience.
