"Hey!" Kagome screamed " What was that for?" Being punished (the youkai way is a biting on the ear) is not funny if you are unsure as to what you did.

"If you do not know then I shall not be the one to enlighten you."

"What! Listen buddy, how am I suppose to know what you mean if you don't tell me?!" Kagome exclaimed blazing with furry. He never told her any thing, he always suspected she would figure out on her own.

"My love, you will figure out my meaning soon enough," lightly placing a warm and reassuring kiss on her lips he left to patrol his lands.

"Kame he bugs me," she mumbled while plopping down on the bed with an ungraceful thud. 'I will always love him even though he can be stubborn' she thought while thinking of the day last year when she became his mate.

~~FLASHBACK~~

"I love you," Kagome said while lying beside her newfound love exhausted from the more previous activities ( you know what I mean *giggles*).

Sesshomaru didn't move, didn't breath just lay there and for the first time in his life he felt unsure as to what to say for a moment. He knew the answer but he couldn't believe he would say it to a human. Ever since that day she helped defeat Naraku and completed the Shikon no Tama, he was amazed by her raw and untrained power. What really made him curious was that she could use extreme amounts of power when provoked. 'Which I don't mind doing' he thought smirking.

"I love you also," he said with a grin as a shocked expression crept into her blue eyes. 'I wonder what she would look like with two magenta strips on each cheek and a cresent moon gracing her forehead.'

"Will you be my mate?" he asked

"But doesn't that mean that I will get pregnant? And I thought you wouldn't want a child from me because it may be a hanyou?"

" You can not be pupped unless you are in heat, which you are not, and you and I truly want it."

"Besides they wouldn't be weak with your power combined" he stated.

"Oh, well then I guess my answer is.....yes I-I would like to bb-be your mate Sesshomaru." One grin was all she got to see before he made the one he loved his mate.

' I now know you meant Father' he thought 'I now have someone to protect.'
