Trick or Treat

"So sis, what are you going to be for halloween?" asked Souta, peeking in his sister's room. Kagome, tapping a pencil on her desk, rolled her eyes up torwards the ceiling as she pondered her brother's question.

"Well, frankly I don't know what I should be. Maybe a priestess?" she asked innocently in response, a slight redness creeping into her cheeks. Souta rolled his eyes when he heard her response.

"Right, like my older sister is priestly at all.." he started to say before getting smacked in the face with Kagome's notebook. "Hey, what'd you do that for!" he pouted, redness now spreading across his own face, but for rising anger, not modesty.

"Hmph." was Kagome's uptight answer.

"You'd make a good female rogue character." Souta said suddenly, his eyes lighting up. "And a warrior like me could use a rogue accomplice." And now it was Kagome's turn to roll her eyes.

"This isn't from your stupid World War game is it?" she asked blandly.

"It's called World of Warcraft!" he pratically shouted back at her.

"I thought so. How dull." she said, mimicking a falling asleep motion.

"Someday I'll become a powerful warrior, just like my Tauren warrior, Cattleprod. You'll see." Souta said defiantly.

"What-ever. I have news for you Souta," said Kagome, swinging around in her chair and leaning over torwards her brother. "Your dreams, just the like the game you play, is pure fiction." she said with an evil smile on her face.

Now it was Kagome's turn to have her notebook thrown in her face. Souta proceeded to run out of her room laughing, but Kagome was hot on his heels, pure cold blooded murder etched on her mind as she ran after him. He stopped at the stairway, and turned around, making a funny face with his fingers. Not really thinking at this point (It's funny how anger can cloud one's mind) she lunged for him, and he merely stepped aside.

Down the stairway she plunged. Her right should made contact first with a hard wooden stair. Kagome felt a distinctive pop, and tears sprung into her eyes as pair raced up and down her arm. Then she was headed for the bottom. The last thing she saw was the wooden floor racing torwards her head, then she hit, and darkness enveloped her.

Souta looked down at his sister, who lay in a crumpled pile at the bottom of the stairs and wasn't moving. He could see a big welt forming on her forehead, and her arm was at a weird angle.

'Oh crap oh crap oh crap. I killed my sister, what'll I do, what'll I do!?!' he thought to himself frantically, looking around in all directions, before an idea came into his head.

'I'll just shove her body down the old well. I'll just say that she went to visit her friends in the Feudal era. And no one will be the wiser!' thought Souta with a little smile forming on his mouth.

And so, the pre-teen went to work, hoisting his eighteen year old sister up onto his shoulder, 'Jeez sister weighs a ton', and hefting her out the door, through the yard, and into the wellhouse, where he proceeded to dump her body over the side and into the past with a flash of blue light.

Sitting down next to the well, the boy looked down at the ground.

'I did it, I got away with it. Huh..heh...' Souta thought, a grin forming on his mouth, before it turned upside down into a frown. Tears began running down from his eyes, and only now did Souta began to cry.

'My sister...my sister....' Souta cried for a long time, and it was only until he heard his mother and grandfather calling for him that dried his tears and left the wellhouse.

The blue light faded from the well, and Kagome's body was left in the dirt. Only she wasn't dead.

When she came too, she had a splitting headache, and looked around in confusion.

'The well, when did I?' she wondered briefly, before proceeding to climb up the vines and over the top.

Then her headache got worst, and she lost her grip. She started to fall, then stopped when someone grabbed her, and pulled her up and out of the well, proceeding to throw her onto the ground next to it.

Kagome looked up into the face of her savior, to see....Koga? No, it was a wolf demon, but he was a different one, one that she didn't recognize.

"Ah, another human. And here I was hoping there would be some water in this well. Oh well, time for a little dessert." said the wolf demon, with an older and more gruffer sounding voice than that of Koga.

"You wouldn't dare. Koga would make you pay dearly." snarled Kagome as he grabbed her by the hair and lifted her up off the ground.

"Koga eh? He's the one who banished me from the wolf demon tribe. If you mean something to him, well, that would make you extra delicious. Mutts, time for dinner." said the wolf demon, as a few older wolves emerged from the surrounding forest.

She didn't see Inuyasha around, and her headache was still bothering her, so she couldn't concentrate enough to use her purification powers. Time to go with her only remaining options. Raw human power.

She lunged out with a foot and managed to kick him in the groin, while using her teeth to bit down on the arm that was grabbing her hair. He snarled.

Raw human power, meet raw demon power.

He grunted as he buried his right fist into her stomach, doubling Kagome over in pain. She collapsed to her knees as her lunch was forced out of her throat and mouth, along with a trickle of blood. When the pain reached her head, it intensified her headache ten fold. Kagome fell over onto her side, curled up into a fetal position.

The snarling of his pet wolves distracted the wolf demon. He turned to see a white human entering into the clearing, with white hair and golden eyes, wearing a white kimono with black armour and red trimming. His nose detected the odor of dog demon.

"Whaddya want? Go find your own meat." said the wolf demon.

The eyes of the dog demon shifted up to stare at him, and when his cold eyes made contact with him, a shiver raced down his spine.

"Your in my way. Move." said the voice, full of contempt and coldness.

"Ha! Why should I move for a scrawny mutt? Wolves, attack him! Feed on his carcass while I devour the human girl!" shouted the wolf demon as he beckoned his wolves forward.

Several more wolves came out the woods, and they surrounded the dog demon. The dog rested his right hand on a sword of his, then fell back to his side.

"Ha! Realizing that your outnumbered eh? You shouldn't have picked a fight with me, the great wolf demon Kocha!" bragged the wolf demon.

The wolves pounced, all at once, from all directions, seeking a quick and a delicious feast. The hand at the dog demon's side began to glow green. The dog demon began twirling in fingers, holding out his hand.

Suddenly, a vine of green energy formed from his hand, stretching outwards and encircling him as he turned. Kocha looked on in confusion as his wolves closed through the air for the kill...and were promptly torn into shreds of meat flying all over the place.

"Wh....what are you...." stammered Kocha, the thought of fleeing just now starting to enter into his mind.

In response to his question, Sesshomaru stopped twirling and brought his whip around, slicing into Kocha. A small groove was formed, running from his stomach up to one shoulder. Hissing in pain, Kocha feel to his knees.

"Ok fine, you can have the kill, I'll move out the way, please don't kill me." he begged pathetically, getting up and starting to walk away, before the poision entered into his system and took effect. Kocha stopped and fell to the ground, gasping for air as the poision from the whip shut down his respiration system. Kocha died like a fish on land, gasping for air, until he lay still.

Sesshomaru stopped looking at the pathetic looking demon to the still alive but even more pathetic looking human laying on the ground in a fetal position. She had dropped back into a state of unconsciousness, although she was still alive.

"Lord Sesshomaru, Lord Sesshomaru, have you found something to eat yet?" came the voice of his loyal retainer, Jaken-sama. The toad came into the clearing, to see Sesshomaru surrounded with diced wolf and the human laying before him.

"Hmm, feeling like both meats tonight, milord?" inquired the toad, who was himself promptly knocked out by Sesshomaru.

"I don't eat human." he said in an even colder grimace.

"Jaken-sama, Sesshomaru-sama, Rin is here." said the little girl, arriving on Ah-un, the usual array of flowers on her head. "And I brought cooking supplies from the local village." said the little girl.

"Good. Prepare a fire, and we'll let Jaken cook us a dinner of wolf steak." said Sesshomaru, a slight smile crossing his face. The longer his little girl followed him around, the closer and more enjoyable she became to him. If only there was a female demon worthy of mating him, and capable of caring for a human child. Then his family would be complete.

"huh...Kagome-sama." said Rin, stopping cold as she saw the human female lying in the fetal position. "Sesshomaru-sama, will you not help her?" asked Rin, making the big smile like she always does to melt his composure.

'Well, it looks like I'll help the human after all. And I suppose I should, since I just disposed of my younger brother and his undead mate. How dare they mate in the middle of the forest where young Rin would see. My brother deserved what was coming to him.' thought Sesshomaru as he proceeded to pick up Kagome and carry her back to the fire....
