Neccesity knows no Laws... Yet by Yuki Snow

I'M LEAVING!!!

Kagome sighed.

'It feels so good to be home... No Demons to fight, I don't have to worry about finding the jewel, or Naraku... Or Kikyou.' She giggled.

'They can't cross time. So I have nothing to worry about... Except... I keep worrying... If my mom found out about me fighting such an awful demon like Naraku, would she let me go back? What does she think I do there? Just fight them like it's a sport?' she sighed again, and sat up.

"Why would I care if she knew? It's not that big a deal!" She ran her fingers through her raven black hair, and straightened out her skirt she just slid on. Just as she was about to go to her closet to find her shirt she then heard the voice of none other than her little brother, Souta, crying out for joy.

"INUYASHA ONEECHAN! YAY YOU'RE BACK!" Kagome irked, and quickly hid inside her closet. She did NOT want Inuyasha to find her wearing only her skirt and a bra! She tried finding a shirt to wear while she was in hiding. An awkward silence fell. All her shirts were in the wash! How was she going to get out with out Inuyasha seeing her!? She was about to open her closet door, but a series of loud footsteps could be heard approaching her room. Her door slammed open, and the tall white haired half demon had entered.

"KAGOME!? Kagome where are you? We need to go back! Kagome?" He was nearing the closet. She decided to just say it, so he wouldn't burst open the-

"KAGO- me?" door. There he stood. With the closet door wide open. And her holding another skirt over her upper half.

"What the heck are you wearing?" He pointed the second skirt that she used to cover her self. She nervously walked out. Making sure that she faced him the whole time. Her fake smile got him to become suspicious.

"What are you hiding?" He asked slyly. Not knowing she wasn't dressed. She blushed, and backed out of the room.

"N-nothing! Really! I'll uh... be with you in a minute. Hehe..." She quickly zoomed out of the room. Inuyasha looked and he thought for a minute... Nah!

"Mom! Can I borrow a shirt?" Kagome begged. Her mother smiled at her distressed daughter.

"Of course honey! Here you go." She handed her what had to be the most stupid shirt Kagome had ever seen. It was a bright pink, and it had little palm trees all around it. To make it worse, on the back it had printed on it, 'I kissed Mel Gibson'. But, with her family being Japanese, they had no Idea what it said. (Kinda like us Americans)

"Uh... Thanks... Mom..." she slipped it on and suddenly heard a loud laughter behind her.

"WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!" Inuyasha yelled in between laughing. Kagome started to growl. He stopped right away.

"Uh oh... Uh, Kagome. I didn't mean it... Honest!"

"Inuyasha... OSWARI!!!!!!!!"

The old couple walked down the road just in front of the Higurashi Shrine.

"Did you hear something dear?" The old women asked.

"Eh? What?"

Back in the house, Inuyasha stayed on the floor. Unable to move.

"Come on, Inuyasha. We're going now." Kagome fumed as she ran out the door. Not waiting for the dog hanyou to wake up.

"OY! KAGOME, WAIT FOR ME!" He yelled as he jumped up and ran after her.

The little girl hopped around on one foot on the soft grass. She hummed to the tune of 'Twinkle Twinkle" as she exchanged feet. Her little ponytail bobbed up and down as she hopped. This soon grew boring for the little girl. She climbed onto a nearby rock, thinking of something new for her to do. She found a long stick, and a curled up leaf. She placed the leaf on her head and kneeled down to make her appear shorter. She turned around and cried for joy.

"Look, Jakken-sama! I'm you! My Lord Sesshomaru! Wait for Jakken! Don't leave me behind!" This last statement made her giggle. The little toad demon didn't like it one bit.

"Listen to me you little imp! I do not sound like that! Get back here!" He began to chase after the little girl, when an icy voice stopped him.

"Leave her be Jakken. She's only a mortal child after all." The tall figure appeared from the shadows of the forest. His silver hair gleaming in the morning sun, and his amber eyes showed no emotion.

"Sesshomaru-sama!" The girl cried. She ran towards the youkai and gripped one of his pant legs in a tight hug. He kneeled down and gave her a pat on the head. Almost like you would a puppy.

"Here." He replied calmly as he held up a whole deer. Rin gave a little gasp, and looked down bashfully.

"Lord Sesshomaru. Do you not remember? Humans cannot digest raw meat like us." Jakken stated as-a-matter-of-factly. Sesshomaru, not missing a beat, replied in the same tone.

"Oh of course. Go get some wood Jakken."

"Y-yes M' Lord!" He ran off to fulfill his master's wish.

"Rin doesn't want to trouble Sesshomaru-sama. Rin could eat the meat raw if Sesshomaru-sama wants Rin to." She said sweetly.

"No. We don't want you to die, Rin." She smiled her biggest smile and gave the youkai a warm hug.

'I'm becoming too sympathetic towards this girl. But I sometimes wonder... Is it a bad thing? At least I'm not in love. Like my foolish little brother... There's no way that could happen.'

"Kagome. What happened to the shirt you always wear? Did it rip?" The little fox child, Shippou, asked. Kagome giggled.

"No. It just wasn't clean. It's not that big a deal anyway." Inuyasha seemed distraught, out of it, and lost. Kagome hadn't been the only one who noticed. Miroku sighed, and went to his friend's side.

"Inuyasha... You need to tell Kagome." Inuyasha scoffed quietly.

"No way! If she knew that... that... well you know... She'd get that look in her eye. I hate that look."

"She has a right to know... Unless... You want me to tell her-"

"YOU TELL HER AND I'LL RIP THE BOWELS FROM YOUR BELLY AND FEED THEM TO YOU!!" (I've used that phrase... It got people wonderin' if I really was crazy...) Inuyasha had Miroku by his collar. Sango, Kagome, Shippou, and even Kirara stared in silence.

"Tell what, Inuyasha?" Kagome asked sweetly. Inuyasha turned his head and scoffed.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome seemed worried. Inuyasha scoffing at her usually meant nothing really. Just he had said something and didn't want to tell her. But... for some strange reason, Kagome had a feeling that this was something bigger than anything else. She couldn't tell whether it was good or bad. She decided to ask him later.

"My Lord! I got the... wood?" Jakken now stood in front of a roaring fire. The body of the deer being hung on a stick above it, and Sesshomaru and Rin, enjoying its meat. Sesshomaru finally noticed the gawking toad.

"Jakken-sama's so slow!" Rin giggled. Sesshomaru took another bite out of the meat and gave a low chuckle. Jakken fell over. Feeling like he was the most stupid demon in the world.

Inuyasha sat on the edge of a little cliff. He heard approaching foot steps and looked behind him.

"Inuyasha..."

"Kikyou..." He replied.

"We need to settle this now." She walked toward him.

"I know... Kikyou... I..."

"You've already confessed, Inuyasha. Now you either follow through... or I'll do it." Inuyasha flinched. He didn't know what to do.

'Kagome, for the love of Kami, please, don't come here now...' He secretly hoped.

"She should be coming... any minute now." Kikyou sneered. "You need to tell her the truth. What you really feel." She snaked her arms around his neck.

"Then... You can come to hell... with me..." Inuyasha suddenly became paralyzed. His body could no longer move. Only mind worked. And it was going mad. Kikyou placed a pale finger onto his forehead and muttered some words under her breath.

"Now you will speak the truth..." She seemed to fade away into the afternoon shadows. Kagome ran out of the tree's shadows. A ghostly voice followed.

"My truth..."

"Inuyasha... I thought I heard someone else..." Kikyou's curse was then put into action.

"There was..." He said emotionlessly.

"Who? A demon?" She asked. Sounding concerned.

"No... It was Kikyou." Kagome gasped. She wanted to walk away. But something told her to stay.

"Kagome. You remember when I told... Kikyou that her life was mine... Well... it is now... and I... must..." he seemed to be hesitant with his words. He started to sweat. His mind was racing.

'No! This isn't the truth!! I don't want to say this to Kagome! Kagome! Get out of here!' He started to groan.

"Inuyasha... I know what this is about... Listen... I'm tired of hearing about Kikyou. You say you trust me... you say you've loved Kikyou. WELL YOU NEED TO CHOOSE! I CAN'T STAND THIS ANYMORE!" Her eyes moistened with tears. Inuyasha suddenly gained control over himself again.

"Kagome! What are you-?" He stuttered.

"Inuyasha..." She stepped forward. And started to take off the purple rosary he had around his neck. He stopped her hands before they could grip it.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING??"

"Inuyasha. You need to decide on your own... who you love most... If you choose Kikyou and have this on. Then... I'll probably give you more sits then I ever have. And that will make you change your mind. This is so you can decide... and I won't be able to punish you for it. Please..." she took it off. Tears watering her eyes. "Make your decision quickly..."

"Well... Kagome... I... don't know..." She glared at him.

"YOU DON'T KNOW? INUYASHA! IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SAY IT RIGHT AWAY! IF YOU CAN'T DECIDE! THEN I'M LEAVING!" She turned away and ran as fast as she could away from him. He stood in shock... Not knowing what to say... He looked on the floor. The purple rosary lay there. He picked it up. On a few of the beads, were Kagome's tears. He sat down and sighed. Looking at the rosary... Not knowing what to think anymore.

"OOh!" The little red dragon chirped, as it held up a beautiful aquamarine stone necklace on a golden chain. Engraved on it was the kanji symbol for demon. The frame, surrounding the stone, were two inu youkai claws. "Shiny!"
