Sway by silent spring
Chapter One
-Beep... 'Get up, get up, c'mon, c'mon, let's go, I've-' SLAM>. THUD.>
"Oww," was the groggily sound that came from a young girl on the floor, tangled in plaid blue sheets. Getting untangled, she ran her hand through her raven colored hair and began to mumble, "Oh dear God how I hate Mondays..."
"Kagome dear, is that you?" A pleasant voice outside the room asked worriedly.
"Yeah Mom, I'll be down in a bit!" The said girl, Kagome, looked around her mess of a room. She had a small bed next to the window, her radio/CD player on the floor from when she hit the alarm button. Her homework scattered on the floor. Several books laid open on the floor as well while some more were neatly stacked next to the study table near her bed.
After getting untangled, she started to move towards the door but didn't notice her foot getting caught by the blanket on the floor. SLAM.> "Oww," Kagome moaned as she lifted her head up. 'Today has got to be one of the worst days ever...'
Knock, Knock>
"Kagome, are you okay?" a young boy asked.
"Souta? Yeah, I'm fine don't worry." She replied.
"See I told you Souta, she probably fell out of bed again and got tangled in her sheets and then when she got untangled she just got tangled and fell back down again. Here watch." and with that said, the owner of the last voice opened the door. The hand which opened the door belonged to a boy with an earring in one ear and a small ponytail.
"Ah, good morning dearest sister, how do you fare?" he smiled as he looked at her, watching the many emotions flicker in her brown- blue speckled eyes before settling on anger.
"Well, Miroku, my morning would be better if you could either: (1) get your butt out of here and take Souta with you or (2) help me up!"
"Well, what do you think little one?" Miroku asked Souta.
"I think we should help her before she gets really mad and tells on us to Bankotsu."
"Yeah, you're right. Bankotsu is downright scary when he's mad, haha."
"Pray tell younger brother, am I truly that scary when I'm mad? Because if I am then you haven't seen anything yet and I assure you when I'm done with you, I'll be more than just scary." A slightly older boy with blue hair stated.
"Ehehe, umm, Kagome, Bankotsu can help you up. Souta, hurry let's run before Bankotsu runs after us!" and there went both boys.
Both Bankotsu and Kagome shook their heads in disbelief at both brothers. Bankotsu entered Kagome's room and helped her up while surveying the mess. "Gome, I know with school you're busy and all but...your room looks like Roku's."
"Oh gee, thanks Kotsu. I live with three boys and you expect me not to learn some habits," she grinned. Bankotsu put his right hand on her head and fluffed her hair.
"Hey you know you love us, so don't even bother using those comments," he smirked. Bankotsu left her room when she realized that she had wasted about 15 minutes in the whole process. 'Just terrific,' thought Kagome as she went to the bathroom in her room which was connected to her twin brother, Miroku's room. She brushed her teeth, brushed her hair, and went back out looking for her school uniform.
When she got to her bed, there was a uniform with a note on it. "Thought you'd probably lose it, so I put your uniform on your bed this morning when you were in the bathroom. Hurry up before your brothers leave without you. Mom," Kagome read aloud. 'Great, now even Mom is commenting on my room.' She changed out of her boxers and wifebeater into the uniform before grabbing her homework and books and stuffing it into her black backpack.
When she got downstairs, her brothers were all sitting at the table finishing their breakfasts. Her stomach gave a slight grumble as she sat down adjacent to Bankotsu and across from her older twin brother. After making her pile of pancakes disappear in 5 minutes flat, she looked to see her brothers leaving out the door. 'Those jerks!' she thought.
Running outside after saying goodbye to her mother, she saw that the boys were outside leaning against the car waiting for her. Miroku and Souta climbed in the back while Kagome sat shotgun next to Bankotsu. She looked into the rearview mirrors, to see that her brothers were joking with each other then glanced at her older brother Bankotsu. She couldn't help but smile, this was her family and they were her life. She rubbed her against the leather seats in Bankotsu's car; her brother's car was a smooth and small car.
After dropping Souta off at his elementary school, Bankotsu had to go pick up his best friend, Jakotsu. Jakotsu, though male, was attracted to his same gender and was handsome enough to pass for a girl when he wanted to. Jak was like the older sister she never had. When they arrived at Jak's house, the two brothers and their younger sister saw Jak waving bye to his little sister, Kanna who was going to turn 5. Jak may be a jock because he played sports and he may have been gay but his little sister, who was albino, was very important in his life. Nothing changed Jak's affection for the little girl.
When Jakotsu jumped into the backseat next to Miroku, the first words out of his mouth were that, "Grandma just told me that two new students are being enrolled at our school. Boy I can't wait; she told me they were boys." Everyone had to laugh, Jakotsu was a funny character, and no one minded that he was gay though it was a disappointment to the few girls that liked him. Jakotsu's grandmother was Ms. Kaede Hatake, the headmaster or principal of Hokkono high school where they all attended.
