Life changing wish by Rythsin
Chapter 1 - Accidental wish
This is a challenge by animequeen_v. Sesshomaru and Kagome hate each other and it is Inuyasha who gets them together, accidentally. Inuyasha develops feelings for Koga who returns them after getting over Kagome. There has to be lots of fluff and lemons, even between Inuyasha and Koga if you're into that type of thing.

Chapter 1 – Accidental wish

They all looked over the charred battle field where they had just fought and destroyed Naraku. It was a long battle, lasting nearly six hours.
No one died but everyone, even Sesshomaru, was injured in some way. Sango had a cut going from her forehead, wrapping around the left side of her face, to her chin, and Kirara had a broken tail. Miroku was fairly un-injured with only a few scratches on his arms; his kimono (?) was nearly destroyed though. Inuyasha had small cuts and bruises all over but other than that was okay. Kagome had a twisted left ankle and broken right hand, how she used both no one knew, and a deep gash on her right leg going from her thigh to her ankle. Sesshomaru had a cut over his left eye. (Did you expect anything else?) Koga and his pack were in Keade's village protecting the children and villagers.
Kagome got up from the ground and limped over to the tainted Shikon no Tama. Picking it up she purifies it and turned to walk over to Inuyasha but tripped due to her ankle. Inuyasha rushes over to catch her before she hit the ground, as he caught her he heard Sesshomaru mock Kagome for being a 'weak and useless ningen'. Inuyasha got pissed and when he put Kagome back on her feet, he started to yell at Sesshomaru.
"Shut the hell up you bastard! If it wasn't for Kagome we would all be dead, even you!"
"You think that a mere half-breed could destroy this Sesshomaru? You must be joking."
"I am saying that a mere 'half-breed' could 'destroy' you! If it wasn't for Kagome shooting her arrow at the tentacle that was about to run you through you would be dead by now!"
"You may think what you will hanyou. No weak, disgusting ningen can do anything that I can't, especially a weak, noisy, copy of a ningen." Inuyasha started to see red at those words and when he smelt Kagome's tears he nearly lunged at his half-brother and run him through. He stayed by Kagome though, offering her comfort. His mouth didn't stay though, and no one knew how his next words would change everything.
"You bastard, I wish that you and Kagome could be permanently mated, just so you can really get to know her! Maybe then you will know what a ningen is really like!" The Shikon, which he accidentally had his hand on, reacted to his wish, and suddenly after Inuyasha's words, a glow came from Sesshomaru's and Kagomes's neck and spread across their chest and back. They both had a mark of a miko intertwined with an inu on them, marking them as mates for life.
Sesshomaru could only stare in horror at the mark on himself. He was in disbelief; he couldn't believe that he was mated to a ningen, against his will, due to a wish his half-brother had made. Sesshomaru soon got out of his shock and growled at Inuyasha, his words almost not understandable.
"You fool, you pathetic hanyou fool. Do you know what you've just done?!" He looked into Inuyasha's horrified eyes. "I am now mated to a ningen because of your foolish words, you idiot."
"Does everything have to be about you?! Kagome now has to deal with you because of me! I just condemned Kagome to a life of hell, by accident though it may be!" Inuyasha was now blacking the shell-shocked Kagome from view. "I don't even know how she could forgive me, let alone how I could forgive myself!" Inuyasha whirled around when he heard the sound of a body hitting the ground come from behind him. He saw Kagome on the ground in a dead faint with tears running down her face.
He hurriedly bends down and picks her up, and before he leaves the field he turns to Sesshomaru.
"Don't worry Sesshomaru; you'll never have to deal with her. There has to be a way to undue what I did, and I intend to find it. And don't worry about Rin and Jaken, I'll send them over here." He faced the others after he got done speaking with Sesshomaru. "Come on guys; let's head back to the village." Sesshomaru watched as they walked off towards the village.

"You foolish children, come back here!" Jaken huffed as he ran after Rin and Shippo. "Oh, Sesshomaru-sama is sure to have my head for this. Come back here!" Unfortunately for Jaken, Koga and his pack where getting annoyed with his constant yelling. When Jaken stopped for breath they tackled him and tied him to a near by tree and gagged him. Rin and Shippo saw Jaken like this and started to cover him in flowers to 'prettify' him. It didn't work, which only made them try harder, while Koga and his pack laughed at him. (What are those two wolf's names?)
This is what Inuyasha and the others saw as the village came into view.
Koga was the first to see them and went to greet them, but became concerned when he saw Inuyasha holding an injured, unconscious Kagome. He started yelling at Inuyasha when he came into hearing range about not being weak enough to protect Kagome.
"Shut up wolf, Kagome's wounds aren't the reason why she is unconscious."
"Oh, and what is Inutrasha?"
"I accidentally made a wish on the jewel for Kagome and Sesshomaru to be mates, and Kagome fainted out of shock."
"YOU WHAT!!!" Koga tried to lung at Inuyasha but his pack held him back, telling him that if he attacked Inuyasha he would hurt Kagome. Eventually Koga pushed them off and with a few hurtful words towards Inuyasha, ran off to his den with his pack following. Inuyasha walked off to Keade's with Sango, carrying Kirara, and Miroku following behind.
When Inuyasha walked into Keade's he saw Kikyo and Keade talking about something. They both turned their heads and looked wide eyed towards Kagome, and looked to Inuyasha for an explanation.
"I accidentally made a wish on the Shikon no Tama for Kagome and Sesshomaru to become mates. I was mad at Sesshomaru for emotionally hurting Kagome so I wanted him to be stuck to her so he could get to know her better, so he could know that she wasn't weak and worthless. I didn't mean to." Inuyasha looked down guiltily as he set her down.
"That doesn't matter now Inuyasha." Kikyo spoke. "What's done is done; there is nothing you can do to change it. No matter how much you want to or tried, they are mated permanently now."
"So there's no way to undo it?"
"No." Keade had answered for Kikyo. "There is something you should know though Inuyasha. Kikyo, do you want t0 tell him or should I?" Kikyo nodded to Keade, and looked at Inuyasha as she spoke.
"Inuyasha, I wish to speak with you. Will you walk with me?"
"Sure." They got up and walked off, out of Keade's and into the forest. The last thing Inuyasha saw of the village was Sango, Miroku, and Shippo waving farewell to Rin. They continued to walk until they reached the God tree. Kikyo and Inuyasha stopped right in front of the tree and Kikyo took Inuyasha's hand.
"I'm leaving this world Inuyasha, I do not belong here." Inuyasha looked at her in sadness. "I want you to stay here and watch over the village for me. Can you do that?"
"Sure Kikyo, I can do that." Inuyasha and Kikyo looked each other in the eyes and shared a brief hug before they parted and Inuyasha backed off. He watched as a portal opened up to take Kikyo to the after life. He saw as the portal glowed a warm, gentle white and wrap Kikyo in its embrace. Kikyo's last words were a soft whisper on the wind.
"Good bye Inuyasha."
"Good bye Kikyo." Inuyasha's voice was just as soft.

"I wonder what's taking Inuyasha so long." Sango muttered to no one in particular.
"Inuyasha is saying good bye to an old friend." Came Keade's voice. Everyone in the hut understood what she meant by her words. Inuyasha was saying farewell to Kikyo for the last time. After a few hours Inuyasha walked in, his eyes looked to be a little red but other than that he looked fine. Just as he was about to speak to them Sesshomaru walked in with Koga in tow.

Sorry for the short chapter, I need to work on how everything in the challenge is going to happen. I'll try to update this by next week, two weeks at the latest.
