15 year old, Kagome Higurashi shielded the prone InuYasha, in full demon mode, from his half brother, the full demon, Sesshoumaru.

Kagome leaning over InuYasha, begged of Sesshoumaru, "Please. Stop."

Sesshoumaru surveyed the carnage his half brother had accomplished while taking a step forward. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo ran to protect InuYasha and Kagome.

Kagome called out, "Don't come any nearer!"

Sesshoumaru looked at Kagome with what could almost be called affection.

He spoke softly "If you wish him to stop, use Tetsusaiga to reverse the transformation, otherwise he will continue to fight when he awakens"

He walked away, leaving everyone stunned. On his way, he picked up Rin, Ah-Un, and Jaken.

Sesshoumaru sat in a throne made of bones in his mansion home by the mountains.

'This Kagome, why does this girl intrigue me so?'

Jaken, his vassal-imp, interrupted his thoughts "Lord Sesshoumaru, what plagues your thoughts so?" Sesshoumaru turned his icy stare toward Jaken, who immediately jumped back prostrating himself "Forgive me, milord, I did not wish to be rude."

Sesshoumaru had on his face the beginnings of a smile, "Fear not Jaken, I was thinking of the Shrine Maiden that follows InuYasha around."

"Which one? The dead one who wishes him dead?"

"The other one, the one with the unusual kimono"

Jaken rubbed his head, "I recall her blows quite well." thinking of when they first ran into her; they had attempted to take Tetsusaiga from a black pearl in InuYasha's right eye. Sesshoumaru spoke recalling the incident, "She is quite spirited, that girl"

Jaken adds in "Quite a foolish vixen, that girl"

Sesshoumaru's icy stare turns glacier and his vassal instantly recognized he spoke out of line, "Forgive me, milord. Don't hurt me, I did not mean to speak so candidly."

Sesshoumaru took the Staff of Heads Jaken carries and whacks the imp several times over the head. Jaken, as soon as the blows stop raining down, picked up his staff and ran out of the throne room as fast as he could. Sesshoumaru spoke with vindication to no one in particular. "She is NOT foolish."
