Melody of his dreams... by Ren_Raine
The secret room
Kagome Higurashi cringed visibly at the immense size of the mansion. It was her first day working at Sesshomaru's and Inuyasha Taisho's house. Kagome had waist long black hair and fiery blue eyes.
Her best friend Sango Taijiya had been working here for nearly a month and had gotten her the job. Sango had long brown hair tied into a low ponytail and sad brown eyes.
Sango sighed at she saw her best friend gawking at the house for the hundredth time, "Kagome, we have work to do come on." The arm belonging to Sango then dragged Kagome into the manor and into a servant's quarter.
She pulled on the outfit designed for maid and pulled her hair into a ponytail. It was a short dress of blue and gold and a pair of white boots. The clothing was obviously chosen by Sango's lecherous fiancée Miroku Houshi. He was the financial manager to Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.
The maids all stuck together to gang up on the perverted manager. An older maid handed out cleaning chores to each of the girls. Sango was assigned the lecher's room while Kagome was assigned Sesshomaru's.
Sango laughed at her disappointed expression and said, "Don't worry he's hardly ever home." Sango left to go find Miroku while Kagome was left to fend for herself.
Kagome started wondering the halls trying to find Sesshomaru's room when she bumped into something solid. She fell back roughly and looked into gruff gold eyes and long silver hair.
"Watch where your going wench." Sneered the man cockily. Kagome felt a vein on her neck twitch angrily at his attitude. "Sorry sir, I was just looking for Sesshomaru-Sama's room." She replied trying to keep her cool and somewhat seceding. "Feh, I know where the prick room is, follow me."
Snapped the man, Inuyasha walking away rapidly. "Thank you, sir." Said Kagome bowing to his retreating form. "Name's Inuyasha, no sir, it makes me sound like my icicle brother." Ordered Inuyasha as he stopped at a wooden door his silver eyes upon his head twitching.
"Here's his royal room now." He said his voice dripping with sarcasm as he walked away. "Thank you Inuyasha-Sama." Yelled Kagome but he was already gone. Kagome opened the door and was shocked at the great beauty she saw.
His room consisted of pale whites and navy blues. His bed was layered with a least thirty silk cushions and indoor hot springs were located in his bathroom. His room seemed almost perfectly clean; there was only a pile of suits that needed to be washed.
She bent over to pick them up when she saw red drapes covering something. Her curiosity peeked she walked over pulling the curtains aside. She saw a large mahogany door lined with gold stripes. She felt slightly guilty as she began turning the doorknob.
Once the door was open she saw another room. The room was quite large and had white sheets covering several objects. Above the fireplace they was a portrait of a woman. She wore a crimson dress that matched her eyes and her hair was done in a bun.
She was smiling a strained smile. Everywhere was covered in cobwebs and dust as if the room hadn't been used in years. She walked over to the biggest object and pulled off the sheet.
It was an old piano and unlike the other things in the room wasn't dust covered. She smiled as she sat down on the piano bench. Her mother had taught her to play the piano at church. But they were too poor to afford one.
Her father had died when she was two so she didn't even remember him. Her mother had passed away while her brother Souta was the hospital because of his hemophilia B. He was one of the few children that had the disease that even a tiny scratch can lead to excessive blood flow.
Souta bills took all of her paycheck so she was forced to work several jobs to cover food and her one room apartment. She loved her brother very much and had even had to drop her dreams of ever going to collage to take care of him and pay the bills.
But that was her life and there was no way to change that. Gently she pressed her gloved hands to the keys and began to play. The music soothed her and she closed her eyes as her fingers danced across the keys.
She was so into the music that she did not her the door close. A harsh voice rang out surprising her, "What are you doing in here, human?"
