Coffee to his Tea by Ren_Raine
Innocent Brew
Routine. Sometimes routines are hard to break. For twenty-one Kagome Higarashi, routine kicked in every morning and lasted to nightfall. Every morning before work she would visit the small coffee shop on the corner.
This morning felt different as she opened the door to the "Innocent brew" shop. She sat down at her usual spot in the corner as the waitress placed her normal order of plain coffee in front of her.
The small shop seemed unusually crowded as the waitresses bustled around filling everyone's order. It seemed that over half the population was giggling school girls. Kagome held in her hands feeling the warmth spread through her nimble fingers.
She pulled a hard back book from her work bag and began reading it. The door's bell chimed as another customer entered the quaint shop. A young man around twenty-three glanced around the shop and sat across from Kagome.
Another waitress placed a steaming cup of herbal tea in his large hands. Kagome barely glanced up from her book to look at the man in front of her. He was also reading a book by the same author as her. His long silver hair was pulled back into a low ponytail. Behind reading glasses were golden eyes.
He wore a black turtle neck and baggy kaki jeans. The girls in the shop all gazed intently as the man sipped quietly at his tea. As the giggling of the girls grew more intense, Kagome stood up silently and left the shop while placing a five dollar bill at her table.
Sesshomaru Taisho watched as the woman left the shop, her raven black hair fanning out behind her. He had seen the annoyance in her chocolate brown eyes as she left. He could still hear her irritated black boots clinking as she sat across from him.
Several girls instantly took her place. He looked at them in boredom noticing the woman had left her coffee behind. Sesshomaru picked up her coffee and his tea and hurriedly left the shop. He was going to return the coffee to the woman. She had interested him.
Normally all the girls who saw him, instantly fawned all over him. She was different. She had obviously come to the shop to relax and enjoy her coffee. He had sat down next to her disrupting her silence. He searched the crowds for her black trench coat. Upon seeing it, he quickened his pace.
