Too late?

Here is the part 1 of my story. There are about three parts to this story. Hope you like it. I had fun writing it and I hope you'll have fun reading it.

Part 1 of 3

Sesshoumaru closed his eyes and sighed. He walked out of his kitchen, with his steaming hot cup of hot chocolate. He walked through the halls and into his warm livingroom.

He looked around. The firplace was on, and the christmas tree's lights shone brightly. He felt at peace, until he heard...loud snoring. He glanced over at the sofa Inuyasha was sprwled across the sofa. He rolled his eyes. Inuyasha. He snorted.

Inuyasha had pleaded him, to let him crash at his place. Apparently, his girlfriend kicked him out of the house. He chuckled. It would seem, she was extremly mad because when she kicked him out, she didn't care he was only in his boxers, with no shoes, and it was snowing outside.

Sesshoumaru shook his head. Inuyasha was an idiot, that's all there was to it. He walked over to his window and looked outside.

~Lying in your arms

so close together

Didn't know just what I had

Now I toss and turn

He pressed his forehead against the large window.

Her smile...

Her laugh...

Her eyes...

They all seemed engraved into his mind. Everytime he would close his eyes, she would be there. Sometimes her laugh, and sometimes her tears...

He felt a hand on his shoulder. He payed it no heed, and continued to look out at the untouched snow. "....Sesshoumaru." said a deep voice. He alread y knew who it was. "What is it Inuyasha?" he asked without taking his eyes away from the window.

The hand on his shoulder was removed. He heard a sigh. "You still...." He didn't have to finish his sentence because he already knew what Inuyasha was trying to say. "...yes." Inuyasha watched his brother with sadness in his eyes.

"Sesshoumaru you got to stop feeling like this-" Sesshoumaru spun around and cut him off. "I can take care of myself. Inuyasha and I'll feel however I fucking want to." He said. Inuyasha narrowed his eyes, and shook his head. "No you can't, cause you're a fucking idiot. Look at the mistake you made-" Sesshoumaru cut him off once more.

"You don't think I know that? I know I'm an idiot. Why else would I have done something to hurt her?!" Sesshoumaru yelled. Inuyasha didn't respond.

~How I'm missing you so bad

Where was my head

Now I cry here in the dark~

A tear fell down Sesshoumaru's cheek. Inuyasha followed it with his eyes, until he looked away. Even though he hated Sesshoumaru's guts, his heart ached as he watched him cry. Sesshoumaru wiped it away with the back of his hand. Disgusted with himself his turned his back toward Inuyasha.

"I'm taking a walk." He muttered. Inuyasha looked up to see Sesshoujmaru's retreating back. "But it's like 11:30!" Sesshoumaru grabbed his coat. "I don't care." He responded.

~Slam!~

Inuyasha sighed. He was alone now. He walked over to the sofa and sat down. He watched the fire flick within the fireplace. 'Sesshoumaru...'

Sesshoumaru walked down his drive way and into the sidewalk. Cars passed and the lights of other houses glowed. He kept walking until he reached a house. He stood at the sidewalk, and watched them from thew window.

A couple was laughing and holding hands. The girl looked so much like Kagome, yet so different. He lowered his eyes, suddenly feeling very stupid and contiued walking.

~I lay awake

I drive myself crazy~

He walked pass houses and entered the park. He looked around and continued down the trail, that headed toward the forest. The forest he was headed to was indeed strange. For some reason, the trees within never lost their leaves. Green grass covered the ground and no snow could be seen.

He walked through the trees and headed to a lake with a large water fall. He walked to the edge and stared into the water. He could see small fish and fireflys flew down and touched the water. Never takeing his eyes off the water, he began to undress. He took off his coat, then his shirt. He placed them by a tree and contiued to take off his pants. When he was done, he stepped into the water. It was warm.

He headed in deeper until the water reached his upper arms. He sighed and closed his eyes.

.....I....love you......

His eyes snapped open. He looked around. He sighed and shook his head. He was being parnoid. He closed his eyes once more.

.....I'm-sorry. I don't know what to say....

His eyes opened. That was him. He said those words. He said those words to.....

~Drive myself crazy

Thinking of you

Made a mistake

When I let you go baby~

He hit the water in frustation. 'Why can't I get her out of my mind?!' He gathered water in his hands, and splashed the water against his face. He shook his head. 'I'm going insane.' He opened his eyes and saw Kagome infront of him. Tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Why?" She asked

His eyes widened and he splashed water at her.

She was gone. He looked around, and relized it was only his imagination. 'She's not really here....' He headed toward shore and sat down on the grass. Not caring if someone were to see him. He layed down. He stared up at the stars.

"Sesshoumaru?" asked a femenine voice. Sesshoumaru grunted. A delicate hand pointed to the stars.

"Why do you think there are so many stars in the sky?" she asked. He stared at the stars. "Because....when the first humans, said 'I love you.' A new star appered." He contiued. "So now, whenever someone says 'I love you', A new star apperars somewhere in the sky." He explained. "Sesshoumaru?" she asked again.

"Yes?" he answered. "What happenes whena star falls?" she asked. He thought for a moment. "When a star falls, its because somewhere, two people said goodbye to eachother forever."

"Sesshoumaru, doesn't that sound a little cheesy?" she asked. He chuckled. "Probably. Now, come on. Its getting late. Lets go." She smiled. "Ok."

He continued to look up at the stars, when he suddenly saw one fall. He sighed and stood up. He gathered his clothes and put them on. He didn't feel like going home just yet, so he decided to take a short walk and then head home.

He contiued to walk down the streets, when he heard laughter. He stopped. He looked around and shadows mover around and came in closer. About 5 guys came out of the darkness. Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes and got into a fighting stance.

One of them ran toward him. Sesshoumaru swiftly moved to the side and kicked him in the back. Thats when another ran toward him. He felt his arms get pulled back behind his back. He struggled to get free, but they held a firm grip. A guy infront of him smirked. Sesshoumaru glared. The guy walked up to him, and kneed him in the stomach.

Sesshoumaru doubled over. The guy punched him Sesshoumaru growled. Sesshoumaru managed to get an arm free, and returned the favor by punching him then giving him a swift kick in the stomach. The guy fell backwards and was knocked out cold.

"You're getting it now." The guy that held him back, threw Sesshoumaru down to the ground. He brought his foot up, then brung it down. Sesshoumaru closed his eyes tight. Mopre came around him, Kicking and stomping on his battered body.

Sesshoumaru cofted up blood. Sesshoumaru's nails grew into claws and markings appeared on his face. Sesshoumaru's eyes snapped open. Crimson eyes flashed with anger. The guys stopped and backed away. Sesshoumaru stood with one arm holding onto the other, as it hang limp at his side.

Blood stained his clothes. His teeth grew into fangs and he snarled. He saw red, as his claws made contact with fleash. A hand landed on his shoulder from behind and turned his around. A guy with blood rolling down his forehead, pulled back his fist and hit Sesshoumaru. Everything went black.

~~~~~~~Flashback

"Sesshoumaru?" He turned and saw a blushing Kagome . "Kagome?" She smiled at him. "Umm...Could you come with me, over here?" she asked. He nodded and followed her under a sakura tree. Blossoms were falling, and covered the ground with a pink blanket.

"What is it?" he asked. She had her back turned toward him. She turned around, Only a few inches separated their bodies. She lifted her head, and before he could say anything, She stood on her toes and leaned foward, Kissing him.

His eyes widened. She pulled away slightly. "I....just wanted to say.....I....love you..." She whispered. He took a step back. "I'm-sorry. I don't know what to say..." He answered. a bit coldly. She looked away. "I understand." She replied.

He saw a tear rool down her cheek. He stepped foward. "I'm truly sorry." He placed his hand on her shoulder. She flinched and backed away. "I-I got to go." She quickly made her way to her car. It turned on and she drove off. He watched her retreating car. He sighed and walked away.

Sesshoumaru groaned. He opened his eyes and looked around. He was laying on the ground and the guys who were here before, were now gone.

He sat up. He hissed as pain shot up through his arm. He looked down at it and saw it hang limp at his side. Just what he needed, a broken arm. He sighed when he noticed it started to snow. He looked around, but saw no one. Why would anyone be outside, when they could be next to a warm fire during christmas eve? I'll tell you, no one thats who.

He was somehow able to stand, yet he was sorta leaning to the side. He took a step foward, and almost fell over. He balenced himself and continued.
