Everyone was there at the party. Turning sixteen was a milestone in every girl's life and Kagome couldn't be happier with her party. Inuyasha had even managed to get his brother to come, how Kagome didn't know. Sango, Miroku, Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, Sango's little brother Kohaku, and Kagome's family of course were there. Souta had even invited a girl he knew from school named Rin, she was a talker but nice none the less.

Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Inuyasha, and Sesshoumaru used to hang out when they were younger. Sesshoumaru, being two years older than all of them, was just there to make sure Inuyasha didn't do anything stupid. Now they hardly ever saw Sesshoumaru because he was in private school and they were in public school. Inuyasha had the chance to go to school with Sesshoumaru, but he refused wanting to stay with his friends.

Now Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru lived with Inuyasha's mother. Their father had died in a car accident a year ago, so the only option was to go with Inuyasha's mother. She was Sesshoumaru's step-mother and he didn't really like her, but he treated her with respect. Every once in a while Sesshoumaru would show up with Inuyasha when they were hanging out and would just listen to them talk.

Inuyasha was convinced that Sesshoumaru was anti-social and a complete ass. Sango and Miroku, for the most part, agreed with him. However, Kagome thought otherwise. There were times when she had seen him smile just a little at some dumb thing they did. No one could tell her that Sesshoumaru was a stoic, cold-hearted bastard-Inuyasha's words-because she had seen the truth.

She knew Sesshoumaru would deny having shown such an emotion in their company, so she never said anything about it. Kagome always felt special for being granted the chance at meeting Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. They were an extremely unique and so different from each other.

After cake they settled in the living room for presents. Kagome grabbed the one from Inuyasha, on the small card it said from Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. She carefully unwrapped the gift and gasped when she saw what was inside. It was a t-shirt with the words, "Johnny Depp's Babe." She threw her arms around the unsuspecting boy, "Thank you Inuyasha! I love it." With a smile she said, "Thank you too Sesshoumaru."

Sesshoumaru watched this exchange with half interest. He had nothing to do with getting her that shirt for her. Being the gentleman he was, Sesshoumaru nodded.

Next was the one from Sango. Kagome opened the small bag and pulled out the tissue paper. Inside rested a small glass puppy in a howling position with a little bowl at his feet. "Thank you Sango, it's so cute."

Kagome always had a thing for dogs but could never have one. She only had a cat name Buyo. Sango smiled, "You're welcome."

With Sango's gift sat aside Kagome picked up Miroku's. She was a little hesitant to open this one in front of her mom though; the last present she got from him was a thong that said, "Wild thing" on the front. No one knew but she did wear it. Kagome pulled at the little ribbon on the top and it came loose. Carefully peeling back the gift wrap she sighed with relief when she saw another t-shirt inside.

On the front of the shirt was a fork and under it were words that said, "Fork you." Kagome busted up, she loved it. When she went to lift it up to show her mom she felt something hard underneath it. Hesitantly she looked at Miroku and noted the sparkle in his eyes with a groan.

Her mom frowned, "What does it say dear?"

Kagome slid the second object out from under the shirt and into her pants pocket. She lifted up the shirt and showed her mom. "See?" At her mom's laughter Kagome set the shirt down next to her other gifts. "Thanks guys. This was the best year ever."

Her mom smiled and set the camera on the small table in the room. "You will get your present from me and Grandpa tomorrow. Now I need to get the younger ones home." She left the room

Kagome glared at Miroku, "What did you get me?"

He stared back innocently, "What are you talking about Kagome my dear?"

She was about to yell at him when her mom came into the room with the kids. "Alright Souta is staying at Sango's with Kohaku and I'm taking Rin home. When I get back there had better be a mess."

"You want a mess?"

She smiled, "You just turned sixteen Kagome, and I expect a mess. I will be back in a few hours."

When her mom was out of earshot Kagome glared at Miroku again, "What else did you get me?!"

"Pull it out and see."

"Oh no you don't! The last time you did this I got a thong! I'm waiting until everyone is gone." Kagome sat on the floor, "What games do you guys want to play?"

Miroku smiled lecherously, "Truth or dare."

Everyone groaned and Inuyasha said, "We play that all the time idiot! No one is stupid enough to pick dare with you here. Pick something else."

No one said anything, so Kagome sighed, "Come on Miroku I know you have some kind of idea."

"Hm, I do believe I have found the perfect game. Spin the bottle, with a twist."

Sango eyed him, "What do you mean with a twist?"

"All I mean is instead of doing it out in front of everyone; the two go in the closet."

Inuyasha smacked Miroku's head, "Then how are we supposed to know if they kiss or not?"

"We are all friends here, se we will trust each other's integrity. Are we all up to the challenge?"

Kagome smiled, "I'm game."

Sango didn't like the look on Miroku's face but nodded her consent.

"Fine, I'll play too." Inuyasha crossed his arms and sat on the floor with everyone else "Hey, how long do we stay in the closet?"

Miroku thought for a moment, "Five minutes should be fine."

With everyone in the circle Kagome looked up at Sesshoumaru who was lazily looking out the window. "Hey Sesshoumaru want to play?"

He turned at hearing his name and her request. Sesshoumaru mulled over the reasons not to, but the pleading look on her face crushed his resolve. "Very well." He settled in next to his half-brother.

Kagome produced a bottle they had made years ago when they first played this game. It had little pictures on it that represented all of them. A puppy for Kagome, a sword for Inuyasha, a sutra of Miroku, a cat for Sango, and a silver wolf for Sesshoumaru. It was Kagome's idea for the silver wolf for Sesshoumaru; she said he reminded her of a wolf.

His hair color was the reason for the silver. Sesshoumaru's hair was long and a slivery color when he was younger. Now his hair is short, but still had the silvery shine as when they were little. Inuyasha's was a little darker then Sesshoumaru's and was down to his mid-back. They both had the strangest shade of gold eyes. Sesshoumaru's are more like a molten and Inuyasha's more like an actual gold.

Inuyasha gaped at the bottle, "You still have that?"

"Yeah, I would never get rid of this."

The first time they played the game Kagome was the first to spin and ended up kissing Inuyasha on his cheek. That's how it went back then, all kisses were on the cheek. Now, they were old enough to kiss on the mouth. The real way to play the game.

"We haven't played spin the bottle in forever. It seems like so long ago that we put these pictures on the bottle." Sango remembered their first time playing spin the bottle. Miroku was too young to be a full fledged perv but he kissed her on the mouth. No one knew about that except Kagome and of course Miroku.

Kagome set the bottle in the middle, "Who goes first?"

"The classic way?"

"Alright, the classic way it is."

The classic way being rock, paper, scissors. All of them, Sesshoumaru included, put their ands in the middle over the bottle and on the count of three they went. The remaining three were Sango, Inuyasha, and Miroku. One more time and Miroku came out the winner.

He spun the bottle and watched it closely. 'Please get Sango. Please get Sango.' Miroku watched in dread as the bottle landed on Inuyasha.

Laughter rang out, "Get going you two." Kagome smiled at them.

Inuyasha grumbled about stupid Miroku and walked into the closet. Miroku followed him, frowning. After their time was up they came back out with bigger frowns on their faces.

Kagome laughed, "How was the kiss Inuyasha? I always wondered how well Miroku could back up his talk."

"Shut up Kagome." He hid his smirk behind his sleeve when he sat down. Miroku didn't kiss him; Inuyasha had to kiss the wuss, on the cheek. "My turn." With a powerful twist the bottle started spinning. Inuyasha averted his attention to everyone around him, "Hey, I just thought. This isn't fair; there are more guys than there are girls here. Our chances of kissing a guy are bigger than one of you."

Sango smiled, "I know, isn't that great."

The bottle slowed and came to a stop at Sango. Inuyasha smirked; at least it wasn't a guy. "Sango, ladies first." She stood up and led him to the closet.

Miroku frowned, "That's not fair, I wanted Sango."

Kagome smiled at him, "You might get another chance Miroku, as long as my mom doesn't come home first."

When they came out Inuyasha was smirking and Sango was blushing. The kiss wasn't mind blowing, but Inuyasha told Sango that Miroku had a crush on her and she started blushing.

Sango sat down without a word and spun the bottle. It came close to pointing at Miroku, but stopped at Kagome. With a very wide smile she pulled Kagome into the closet.

Kagome closed the door and whispered, "Why were you blushing?"

"Inuyasha said Miroku has a crush on me. Do you think he told me the truth?"

"Yeah, why would Inuyasha lie about that?" Kagome kissed Sango on the cheek.

When their five minutes were up they came prancing out of the closet. They sat down and Kagome put her hand on the bottle, "Time for me." She gave it a hard twist and watched it spin.

Kagome looked out the window to make sure her mom wasn't home. It started to slow down and her attention was drawn back to the bottle. It passed Miroku it passed Sango, and grew slower. The bottle passed Inuyasha and laded on Sesshoumaru.

Sesshoumaru smirked when he saw his brother's face. 'Too bad.' He stood up and offered his hand to Kagome
