The Simple things
A young girl perhaps the age of seven or eight danced merrily in the field of flowers before her. Joy and happiness flooded through her being for just the simplest reason of being young and free.
"Kagome, Mi'lady Kagome." A voice called and the young girl with hair so blue it was always mistaken for a sheen of black looked up. To reveal baby blue eyes filled with innocence and good nature but also a craving for mischief.
Giggleing to herself Kagome began to run into the forbidden forest wanting to play a trick on her nanny. She watched as Mia walked past her hiding spot in the forest and began looking elsewhere.
Right as Kagome decided she would bounce out and surprise her. A light caught her attention. Being as curious as she is Kagome just had to go and see the cause of this mysterious light.
So on she went until there sitting at the base of a tree she saw... a boy. And he was crying.

' Why?' He thought as he ran through the forest at an inhuman speed. Why did she die?Why did she go away?WHY did his father BETRAY her?
Tears spilled down the boys face amd began to soak his long silver hair. Thoughts of what had happened were still fresh in his mind.

He and his mother were walking through the gardens hand in hand. Him having the time of his life at being able to spend some family time with his mom. For she was always away at some business event like signing peace treatys with the different lords and such.
A servent came and disturbed them to inform his mother that she was being called for in the conferance room and that his father was waiting for her there.
A smile instantly found its way to her face as she hugged me and then walked off to the conferance room.
I waited for a few minutes hoping she would come back soon. Until I was finally fed up with waiting and went to see what my mother was up to.
My mother... she was the most beautiful person I had ever met. Silky shimmering silver hair. Azure eyes that were heavenly , to me at least. And a kindness that most people could only describe as angelic. But I could only say it as my mothers touch.
Getting closer to the room I began to hear voices and decided to listen in on my parents conversation.
"Inutaisho how could you? How could you do this to me to your SON?" My eyebrows furrowed together 'What are they talking about?' I thought.
"Now now its not THAT serious just lis-" She cut him off . "Not that serious. NOT THAT SERIOUS! YOU CHEATED ON ME WITH NINGEN WHORE!"
I paused and backed away for a moment. My father was cheating on my mother with a.. a human? I began to listen in again.
"Now don't call her a whore yo-" A loud slapping sound was heard. "How dare you," His mother spoke with betrayel lacing her every word. " You hired her to warm your bed while I was away and you insist she is not a whore. My gods I can't believe you are capable of such evil. I'm leaving."
As his mother began to walk out I stumbled backwards and could only look up as she paused and merely looked at me. "Sessho-". But she couldn't finish her sentence
Blood poured out of her. The area where her heart use to be now was no more.
And the object in question was now in my fathers hand. Pain and betrayel coursed through me as my father merely flexed his hand where the heart now was. And I... took off.

Hiding in the bush Kagome watched and waited questioning herself as to why this boy would cry. Remembering the time she cut herself on a thorn bush Kagome began looking for something to give him to make him feel better.
At her foot she saw a flower and got an idea.

Suddenly I smelled something it smelled like cherry blossoms and jasmine. Taking in the scent I failed to notice that a little human girl began walking up to me.
"Did you get hurt?" Someone asked and it broke me out of my state of blankness.
" What?" I simply said.

" Did you get hurt?" I asked the boy seeing that upon a closer look he was indeed a demon.
"What?'' He said back.
I plopped down in front of him and said. " Well whenever I cry its because I got hurt. So did you get hurt?" I simply said and tilted my head slightly to the side giving me a puppy dog kind of look.
I stared at him for a moment while he was stuck in thought then he nodded. Looking all over him I couldn't see any scar or thing like that so I leaned forward and kissed his forhead.
" My mommy always told me that when you get hurt a kiss will always make it better." He just stared at me for a moment and I always wondered why he did this. But after that he just hugged me and began to cry on my kimono.
Still confused as to why he was crying I just combed my fingers through his hair as to soothe him. Eventually he pulled away and I moved closer to him and sat right beside him under the tree.
"You know my mommy always says that when things get really bad like a rainy day they always have to get better. Like when a rainbow comes out." He just nodded and kept staring at the sky.

After a while Kagome remebered her nanny was still looking for her and noticed it was almost sunset.
Standing up Kagome looked to the boy and said. "Here." And brought out the lily from the inside of her sleeve. "Take it."
He just sat there for a moment as if almost hesitating until he finally grasped it in his hand.
"Friends forever." Kagome said and gave him a big hug. "By the way my names Kagome whats yours."
He smiled for a moment with a faraway look in his eyes before he said. "Sesshomaru."
Kagome scrunched up her face for a moment before she sounded it out. "Ses-sho-ma-ru thats a really long name." Still smiling she hugged him again before saying. "Well Sessy I gotta go my nanny is probably looking for me."
Kagome began to run off and before she was completely out of sight she turned around and waved.

After she was gone past the horizon as far as Sesshomaru could tell. He looked down at the lily and smiled before he quietly said. "Thankyou.... Kagome."
