The Final Decision by InuYashasGirl368
The Move
Kagome sat in the passenger seat watching the trees go by. Her mom had decided it was time to make a move, making Kagome very unhappy. She'd have to transfer to a new school where she didn't know anyone. Inwardly she sighed, sad that she wouldn't be graduating with her friends. She looked over at her mom as they navigated the streets to their new home.
"Are we there yet?" Kagome asked, her impatience bleeding into her voice.
"Almost Kagome, cheer up. It's fun to move to a new place." Mrs. Higurashi said.
"Yeah right." Kagome muttered sarcastically and turned her attention back out the window.
A few minutes later they pulled into a driveway and Mrs. Higurashi cut the motor to the car. "Here we are." she said happily and stepped out of the vehicle.
Kagome snorted quietly. "Great!"
Mrs. Higurashi didn't seem to hear her. "It's wonderful."
Souta had scrambled out of the car and was looking around with wide eyes. "Wow."
Kagome finally got out and followed them up to the house. She had to admit that the place impressed her too, but she wasn't about to tell her mom that. Her gaze was pulled toward the main area of the shrine and the huge oak tree that sat in the center of it. Looking for an excuse to get away from her mom, she smiled over at her family. "I'm gonna visit the shrine."
Mrs. Higurashi smiled at her. "Ok dear. Be carefull."
Souta was still looking around open-mouthed. "Yeah, sure Kagome." he uttered in a distracted manner.
