I've Been Watching You

Sesshomaru had been sitting in a tree all night watching the group from a far. He was upwind of Inu yasha so that he wouldn't pick up his sent. She had been growing stronger at an enormous rate and she had been brought up at the monthly councle meeting this month and the members decided that since Inu yasha was his brother that he should deal with this.

Sesshomaru had been spy for about six days now just observing nothing more. He watched her closely even while she was in battle. Tonight was the night he had decided he had gotten all the information he could get from watching and that it was time to confront her. He had been dreading this for a long time but felt there was no other choice.

He had waited till nightfall when she would go to the hot spring to bathe. He figured that was the best time because he would catch her off guard and she would be to modest and ebarrassed to fight so she would have to answer his questions.

Kagome had finaly walked to the spring and he waited until she got into the steamy water. Her sent was intoxicating and it had been a hard six days to deal with the constant smell of sukura blossoms in his nose. She was still young maybe in her late teens, but she had the body of a woman in her mid twenties.

Sesshomaru had started to have second thoughts about questioning her in this way. However, he came to the conclusion that this was the only way get a chance to talk to her in private without the distrubance of Inu yasha.

Kagome sat down in the spring after scrubbing herself and sighed as the heat relaxed her muscles. It had been a very busy week they had found three jewel shards which meant that their hard work and determination was paying off. Soon the only thing they would have to worry about is Nuraku.

Sesshomaru watched as she closed her eyes and relaxed. They had been working so hard fighting and excersing demons all this week and he was starting to see the stress on her face. This was the time to begin the questions. So, with his mind made up he put into action the plan he had devised he saw her collect her bathing supplies and head for the spring.

He would steal her clothes which would ensure that she would not run and call for Inu yasha until he had finished what he came to do. Yes, it was very childish thing to do but, he couldn't think of any other way without hurting her or kidnapping her. Doing that would only bring his brothers wrath on him and he really didn't feel like hearing the pup whine and howl over nothing.

After a while Sesshomaru walked over to where Kagome hid her clothes, took them, and walked back to the bank of the spring. Kagome was unaware that she was about to get the shock of her life. Sesshomaru decided that since he had to take care of this that he would do it his way and everything else be damned.

And so..."You know you should really hide your clothes where no one else can find them and not in plain view." Sesshomaru walked up to the bank. Kagome turned toward the voice only to find Sesshomaru standing at the springs edge with her clothes in hand. 'i'll just play it cool. I can do this he won't hurt me not naked anyway.' "I didn't know you were the type to pull childish pranks Lord Sesshomaru, and on a human."

"I'm not, but I had to make very sure that I could do what I came to do with out you running to or calling that idiot brother of mine." A smirk came to his lips. "What makes you think that just because i'm naked that I won't call Inu yasha? And just what did you come to do?" Kagome sneered at him. " I came only to speak with you nothing more and you won't call Inu yasha because you are modest to let him or anyone else see your body. So, if you please I would like to get this over with as soon as possible." He looked toward the camp.

'He's got a lot of nerv telling me i'm modest. Hunh.' Kagome narrowed her eyes at him I'll show you modest.' Kagome was bery proud of her body and kept it in tip top shape. 'And besides Inu yasha has arealy seen me naked so it wouldn't matter. Ooooo! I'll show him.' Kagome knew that Sesshomaru would be thrown off guard if she step out of the bank and yelled for Inu yasha so she decided to hold off and see what he had to say.

"Alright then, talk I haven't got all night and I dont want to become a prune in here either." Kagome huffed. Sesshomaru was about to ask her what a prune was but pushed the thought out of his mind.

"Kagome you are aware of the fact that your powers a growing I assume?" "Yes." Well I must ask are you recieving proper training to be able to control your powers?" "No, the training in which I require is no longer taught where I am from." "Then how, if I may ask, are you learning to control your powers?" "I am learning by fighting and partisapating in the battles that we have been in the ones to come."

Sesshomaru was a bit taken aback. She was receiving no formal training and was learning by trial and error. 'This is madness and it cannot continue. She is much to poweful to not recieve formal training.' Sesshomaru looked toward Kagome and threw her clothes to her. She caught them just before they hit the water. "Get out, Now! I need to speak with my brother and the monk about this." He had at least hoped that she was receiving some type of formal training but, none at all was simply unacceptable.

Kagome walked out of the spring and put her clothes on when Sesshomaru turned around to give her some privacy. 'What is going on. one minute he's talking to me and the next he's telling me to get out. Something is up and i'm going to find out what.'

After Kagome had finaly dressed they began walking back to camp. Inu yasha picked up Sesshomaru's scent before they got there and was sething with anger when they finaly arrived.

"What the hell are you doing here Sesshomaru and Kagome why didn't you call for me when you saw him, you stupid whench!" he barked. "I needed to talk to her alone and without your mouth butting in to a coversation that had absolutely nothing to do with you directly. So, my advice to you is to sit down, shut up, and listen since this does have something to do with you indirectly." Sesshomaru was pissed in a annoyed sort of way.

"Monk, are you also aware of this girl's power increase in the last two months?" Sesshomaru pointed at Miroku. "Yes my lord. I am aware of Kagome's new power." "Then tell me Monk why is she not recieving the proper formal training that it would require for her to be able to harness these powers?" "I am afraid I cannot answer that question my lord. However, I am teaching Kagome most of whatI I know but that will not be enough."

"So, I suggest that I train her since neither of you can commit to her abilities. I will do this because I am greatly surprised that the whole population of lower demons have not come to swallow her whole if only to absorb her power."

"Hey! Don't I get a say in this?!" Kagome shouted. "No! You do not, for it is you who is posing the biggest threat to not only the demon population but, the human one as well!" Sesshomaru answered.

"Since when do you care about the 'Human Population' Sesshomaru?" Inu yasha barked out.

"Since her power began to increase at such an alarming rate. I also believe that if there are no demons there are no humans and visa versa! So to put what I have said in short, she is coming with me to recieve more proper training." Sesshomaru snarled at Inu yasha.

Suddenly the sky began to get dark as what seemed to be a thunder storm approaching. "She's not going anywhere with you Sesshomaru and if she does it will be over my dead body!" Inu yasha took to a defensive stance. "That can be arranged dear brother!" Sesshomaru challanged. "I'd like to see you try it!" Inu yasha shouted drawing Tetsaiga.

Lightning struck between the two brothers before they could collied. They both jump back as everyone looked to the sky. "We need to find shelter Inu yasha this no ordinary summer storm. Miroku shouted over the loud thunder. Lighting struck again, this time it was closer to Kagome.

Everyone look toward Kagome. "Uh Oh!" Kagome uttered. "She is attracting the lightning!" Sesshomaru shouted as he ran to her. He was fast but he wasn't fast enough as the lightning struck them both.

Everyone had to sheild their eyes from the bright light. After that the storm began to fade away into a beautiful starlit night. "Kagome! Where are you!?" Inu yasha shouted. "Inu yasha there not here they have be trasported somewhere else. I knew somthing wasn't right about that storm, but they're... gone I know it." Miroku wisphered.

"What the HELL do you mean GONE! Are you saying that they just vanished!" Inu yasha yanked Miroku by his collar. "Yes, Inu yasha I believe that is what I mean. I don't know how but they're gone." Miroku's eyes rolled back into his head as he fainted. Sango rushed to him. "Miroku, Miroku! What are we going to do Inu yasha he's out cold!"

"I don't know Sango, but somethin is happening and I don't like the way things smell. Let's get Miroku to Kadae's she might know what the hell is goin on."
