*~Kagome lives in Sapporo, Japan on the island of Hokkaido. She is a panther youkai, unknown to her mother. Unknown to Kagome, she was adopted though she had her suspicions. And soon she will meet an old friend, one that will rekindle memories long forgotten.~*

"No Mom, I don't want to go! You can't make me!!" Kagome screamed to her mother in the living room.

"Honey it's just boarding school and it's the only option we still posess. You got expelled from all the local public and private schools," Mrs. Higurashi pleaded desperately.

"Mom?!" Kagome was crying now, "Please! No!!"

"Sweetie, there's something else I need to tell you," Aiko told the distraught girl.

"What? What could make this day ANY worse!?" Kagome yelled but then noticed the serious look on her mother's face and stopped. Her expression went blank, wondering what else could go wrong.

"You might want to sit down for this, honey," Aiko suggested. She sat down slowly knowing this wasn't going to be good,"Well, I was supposed to tell you a year ago but I didn't think you were ready to hear it. Sweetie, you were adopted, I know you thought I was the mother that you lost but that was really the first time I had seen you. I couldn't break your heart like that. You were 10, when I found you at the orphanage.I truly am sorry."

Kagome was astonished and frozen in disbelief. She couldn't believe it, "No, ok I get it, you're just telling me this so I'll leave, this is some sort of practical joke........haha mom, very funny......Joke's over now," Kagome laughed nervously.

"I'm sorry honey, but this is not a joke," Aiko replied gravely handing Kagome the proof, the adoption papers.

Kagome looked at her then looked to the papers then back again, "Well Aiko youre plan worked, I'm going to boarding school," she dropped the paper and grabbed her bags.

Kagome turned around and walked to the door and didn't even say by to Aiko. Walking outside, she saw Tojo, her chauffer ready to go. Opening the door, she got in the limousine, "Ok, Tojo, I'm ready."

"Alright Lady Kagome, here we go," he replied.

While on the way to the airport, Kagome began to contemplate what had happened before she left, 'I can't believe she lied to me! I guess that was her last resort to get me to go. At least I only have 3 weeks a year with her now,' Kagome thought.

She flew on a plane to Osaka from Sapporo, which took three hours. When she got there it was late at night. Shikon Academy had a vehicle there to pick her up, waiting in the car was her RA, or residential assistant, Kagura. Kagura explained to her that she'd be a junior and that she's going to be staying in the coed hall because there are no other free residential halls.

She didn't get to see much because it was night and she was shown immediately to her room. Kagura told her, "Ok, you are with Sango Taijiya, also you know about the martial arts program, it's required here and you have to choose which class or style you plan on practicing. Are you skilled in martial arts because if you are at a certain level we just let those practice on their own."

"Kagura, I am a blackbelt in most martial arts, I did a lot in Sapporo. My favorite style is Kendo and I am very skilled in the techniques of the Samurai, actually I am samurai. Unfortunately I have not been with my kin in a long time. I have brought my weapon, Kaijin. How early are the training rooms open?" Kagome explained eagerly.

"I see, this is great news. You can practice on your own, we will not put you in classes but I recommend you find Sesshoumaru Taisho and practice with him. You will find him a suitable opponent for your level of skill, she replied as she smirked at the girl's fiery spirit, "Sesshoumaru is at the top when it comes to martial arts. Training rooms are open at 4am, breakfast is at six," Kagura finished.

"Arigatou and oyasumi, Kagura," Kagome said

"Same to you, Lady Kagome"

Then Kagura walked away and Kagome entered the room. 'how do random people seem to call me Lady, I don't understand, am I a princess?' she thought to herself.

Kagome walked into the bathroom, she took out Kaijin and transformed it into a large scepter and waved it in front of her using her miko enrgy to help it pull down the masking spell she placed upon herself.

All of a sudden there was a bright flash and in front of her was a mirror with a creature with long raven hair to her waist, a thin tail the color of the blackest raven wrapped around her waist, four blue marks on the sides of her face, 2 on each side and on her arms, along with silver-blue eyes.

'I'm a demoness this I know, I'm samurai, and adopted but who are my real parents? I thought Aiko was my real mother that day at the orphange. I had been wondering the world since I lost the memories from my early childhood. I need to remember, I need to know where I'm from!' she thought as she stared at the figure in the mirror.

"Wow," said a voice then around the door frame a face appeared, surrounded by messy black hair," So you're my new roommate?"

"Mmm-hmm," Kagome nodded to her.

"Sorry I was listening but I've heard you since you were at the door with Kagura, I was curious," she replied.

"It's ok. I'm Kagome," she said, bowing, "You're a demon slayer aren't you?"

"Yes I am but don't worry, you're a panther youkai, aren't you?" the girl replied, bowing also, "Kochira koso, I am Sango Taijiya."

"Yeah I am. Well I need to get some sleep so I'll see you tomorrow, ne?" Kagome asked.

"Yeah, oyasumi," Sango finished.

Kagome set her alarm for 4 am which only gave her 4 hours of sleep. When she woke, she got dress in a black fighting kimono and went to the kendo training room. She concealed her form just so she wouldn't draw attention and because no one except Sango knew she was a demoness, at least that she was aware of.

When she got there she took Kaijin and transformed it to it's normal for as an expert katana. Then she began training, going through basic motions then onto more difficult techniques, techniques of samurai, followed through to perfection.

Little did Kagome know she was being watched. The silver-haired man by the door watched her closely with bright golden eyes, thinking, 'She is perfect, gorgeous and very good with a katana,' he smirked, his golden eyes glowing, 'This Sesshoumaru is intrigued.'

He finished that thought as he made his way toward her and drew his sword, the Tenseiga.

She started a fluid movement that brought Kaijin behind her and as it passed behind, there was a sudden metallic clang.

Kagome turned around, startled, and leapt high in the air landing on the wall that was 10 feet behind her then dropped to the ground, landing lightly on her feet. She looked closely at him, 'He looks so familiar......who could he be?................Ses.......no.........Sessh.....Sesshoumaru?' she asked herself.

The man spoke, "No mere human could jump like that. Show your true form to me," he demanded.

She lifted her concealing spell and looked conspicuously at the man.

"You are not human either," she replied.

"Very wise, young panther," he said, "I am Sesshoumaru Taisho, Lord of the Western Lands. Hajimemashite.......Miss.............is it? ...............are you?............... Kagome?" Sesshoumaru questioned as he bowed in greeting.

'I thought that name sounded familiar! but it's not just when Kagura mentioned it that I am remembering from, could he have possibly been someone I know when I was young?' she wondered to herself for a moment.

"Yes it is Kagome, I'm sorry, did you know me? I am a samurai and also adopted."she replied, bowing as well.

"Yes I do know you, at least I did, as a child, I am samurai as well, we trained and learned, together, the ways of the samurai. Do you not remember?" he asked in disbelief.

"I am sorry, I cannot remember most of my childhood, I only remember the techniques I learned from samurai and back as far as when I was adopted," She whispered solemnly.

"You know you are royalty. Your real parents are Lord Katsumoto and Lady Taka of the Northern Lands, unfortunately they died many years ago. They were good friends of my parents," he explained.

She looked at him shocked, then closed her eyes, all of a sudden flooded with memories. The last memory was of a little black-haired girl and a little silver-haired boy sitting together. The little boy was holding a necklace saying, "The crescent will glow blue when you accept my love, and my trust," then the flood of memories ended.

She touched her chest where the crescent necklace was under her shirt, and muttered, "The crescent will glow blue when you except my love."

Hearing what she said, he smirked, 'So she remembers now, I am glad,' he thought.

"Well now little panther, let's play," Sesshoumaru challenged her with an arrogant smirk.

Shaking her head of pervious thoughts, she gave him a sexy smirk, "Yes, let's," she challenged back in a husky tone as she charged.
