Wind of Passion by Suijou

Prologue

Kagome ran the extensive forest in a rapid pace. Her garments were tattered by the prick branches on her trail, she did not care. All she wanted was to escape from the heart-wrenching scene that she had witness. Yes, a certain hanyou broke her heart into pieces. I hate you, Inuyasha! She screamed in her mind as tears begun to descend from her eyes. "He loves her... only Kikyo." She silently uttered as she impeded from her path, her hair covering her russet eyes. "I'm not needed here anymore, he has her now." She spoke in a whisper as she gently wiped her tears away.

"Goodbye... Inuyasha" With that, she begun to ran towards the dark pathway not caring if it's not the right route.

"Rin wants to go with Sesshoumaru-sama." The little girl said with a wide grin. "No Rin, you stay here with Jaken." The silver haired youkai retorted with his typical emotionless demeanor. He knew that bringing the kid with him would just bring setbacks for his task. I'll kill that stupid half breed. And this time, I'll make sure that he'll burn in the depths of hell. He uttered forth in his mind as he began to retreat towards his destination.

The green creature watched as his master's frame begun to vanish before the shadows of the woodland. "Rin wants to know if Sesshoumaru-sama will come back." The little girl inquired with a frown. "Stupid girl, of course lord Sesshoumaru will come back, and this time with Tetsusaiga." He responded in an annoyed tone. He did not understand as why his master revived the little girl. She is a human; he hated her kind of being.

Soon will he know that hereafter, his master's heart will be held captive in a pool of passion... by a mere human.

Pain, the only emotion that was left within her aggrieved heart, it seemed as if her world began to crack and shudder. The anguish that she felt was too strong for her to bear; everything seemed to have turned dark before her. Mom, Grandpa, Souta... I'm sorry for what I've done. I've given you up so to be with him. However, this is how it all ends. She whispered dejectedly. I'm alone.

Flash Back

"Kagome, please don't go." The boy pleaded as tears began to cascade from his eyes. "Don't leave us Kagome, don't leave me." His heart was crying. She was leaving them; his sister will go back to the feudal age and reside there... forever. "I'm sorry Souta, Mom. I need to go back. Inuyasha needs me." With that, she leaped oin the well. "Kagome..." Her mother whispered as she gazed at her daughter's vanishing form.

End Flash Back

"I gave up everything just for him," She said in a low manner, her eyes shimmered with sadness. "He didn't need me after all." She added. She embraced her body from the cold breeze that was caressing her frail skin as she leaned her head on the firm tree and closed her eyes. She found shelter under the towering tree and it was all that mattered for now... a temporary refuge.

"A Human." His face was visible with a scowl the moment he smelled a scent of a human. "Who ever this pathetic being really is stupid wondering the forest in the middle of the night." He uttered in a low tone as he change his way towards the fairly unusual scent. He didn't know why this human's aroma was drawing him further towards the owner. There was something familiar about this scent and he knew it.

He continued further until he noticed a silhouette of a man under the tree. He strides closer as he observed the unmoving frame. "A woman?-- No, a girl." He spoke to himself when he had a clear view of the human before him. So familiar. He thought as he studied the girl. Though he can't clearly see her face because of the dark atmosphere, he can still smell the familiar fragrance that he can put on senses whenever he has a clash with his half-brother-- Inuyasha, this is Inuyasha's wench. Without a second thought, his eyes widened in fury as he raised his hand in an attempt to rip the girl into shreds.

However, a soft whimper was release upon the girl's agile lips, this stopped his assail just sheer inches away from her face. "I-Inuyasha..." She muttered in her slumber as a single tear flew down on her cheeks and unto the frigid ground. "...w-why can't you love me?" Her words surprised the lord of the Western Lands, he stood there stunned, and his claws still set inches away from her feature. He stared at the human upon his eyes and saw the anguish that she carried. He didn't know what her issue with the hanyou, but deep inside of him, he almost felt pity for the girl... almost.

Instinctively, as if his body has a mind of its own, he gently lifted the girl with his right arm and with the help of his tail; he began to carry the lithe figure towards his companions completely forgetting about his duty on acquiring the Tetsusaiga.
