Forever We Shall Be by Ske

Prologue

Kagome slid down against the well wall, knees pulled to her chest crying. Had she been dreaming all along? Had she been giving away feelings for free? She was there she felt it, the pain that you feel when your about to break, the pain deep within your chest that makes you breath harder, the pain of a broken heart. She saw it, she saw Inuyasha embrace Kikyo. She felt it, she felt it stab her in the heart. She heard the words Inuyasha spoke to Kikyo, the words of the end to their love affair or was there one?

Sango and Miroku stood there and watched her cry, weeping for the love she desired, but could not have, but there was something else that made her cry. Something that confused her and scared her. She looked up and saw Sango and Miroku standing there, waiting to hear it all, to support her.

" I'm going home," She whimpered, " Naraku is defeated and I never want to come back here again."

" Don't say that," Sango said

" To many memories," She replied

Miroku knelt down next to her and placed his arm around her and said, " Don't leave just because Inuyasha chose the wrong girl. You still have us."

" You don't understand," Kagome said, " Everything has become nothing to me. I shall always remember you all."

" Well, there's always hope to see you again," Sango said, " You'll get over him don't worry."

" It's not just him," Kagome said, " I don't know what came over me or how I'll ever face the real world after what he did for me."

Miroku looked at her and said, " Inuyasha?"

" No," Kagome said

" Koga?" Sango asked

Kagome slightly smiled and said, " Sesshomaru saved my life."

" Sesshomaru!" Sango and Miroku exclaimed

Kagome stood and grabbed her bag, then looked at Sango and Miroku. She hugged them both with tears in her eyes.

" Tell Shippo good-bye for me and Kaede," Kagome said, " thanks for everything."

" Take care of yourself ok Kagome," Sango said

" Alright," Kagome said

With that Kagome jumped into the well and traveled through space and time. All would be normal again or would it be different?
