*...The begging of it all...*
Hello everyone. This is my first Sesshomaru/Kagome fanfic. I will try my best to portray every single character right and keep their personalities from the show. To do this you must understand that Sesshomaru and Kagome wont be together from the start and it will be a thing that happens over time. So don't get mad about Inuyasha and Kagome at the start. Please no flames though I would like reviews. Thankies ^.^

It was a chilly winter day in January the ones breath could be seen in the air. The white snow lye perfectly untouched on the ground and there sat a well surrounded by all the whiteness. Suddenly a slender hand swiftly grabbed the wells edge and then another as a girl pulled herself from the well. Her ebony hair stood out against the surroundings and it seemed her warm chocolate colored pools could melt the snow. She plopped a yellow bag in the snow as she stood up straight. "Oh yes... this was such a nice greeting." She huffs to herself. Today she wasn't wearing her normal school outfit with the frilly green skirt and her white top with some green near the shoulders and that little red bow near her chest. Today she had on long blue pants on, a white sweatshirt on with a few silver and blue stars decorated on front, and black snow boots. Today she had been prepared for the cold and wasn't going to freeze her butt off like last time. She let out a small sigh and picked up her bag. She began walking but a small little kitsune yokai came running out of the snowy foliage surrounding them. His reddish auburn hair below a bit in the small wind as he looked up to the girl with his turquoise eyes. "Kagome! Your back." He yelled as he leapt up into Kagome's arms. Kagome smiled looking down at him. "Oh hey Shippo. At least someone came to greet me. Where are the others?" Kagome asked in a quite perplexed voice.
Shippo glanced behind him then back up at Kagome. Shippo appeared as if he was 5 years old but in reality he was around 50. "Well... they ran into a small conflict. Since you haven't been here in about a 3 weeks Kouga was wondering where you were so he showed up. He then got into a big argument with Inuyasha and Sango and Miroku stuck around to make sure they didn't end up killing each other. So Sango told me and Kilala to come find you." Shippo explained to Kagome. "But where is Kilala then Shippo?" At Kagome's question the small fire neko yokai came padding out in the snow but it seemed a bit deep for her. Kilala appeared as a small kitten. She swished her two tails with the black markings near the end of them as she trudged through the snow with her black paws to reach Kagome and Shippo. Her cream color fur blended nicely with the snow as she flicked her black ears and looked up at the two with her red eyes. "Well let's go then..." Kagome spoke as she held Shippo but her gaze was on Kilala. Suddenly Kilala transformed into her tiger form. She basically looked the same except she was much larger and flames came from her feet and tails. She had two large fangs and looked more dangerous. Kagome walked over and set Shippo down on Kilala's back and quickly climbed on with her yellow bag. After Kagome and Shippo held on the large fire cat took off into the blue sky that the fluffy white clouds seemed to float across the sky.
When Kagome looked down she could see everything covered in a blanket of white snow. A soft smile appeared upon her face as she noticed how beautiful everything looked. Yes of course it was more beautiful then the modern era. Especially because in the modern era the snow often got polluted and dirty. Suddenly the small trio began losing altitude as Kilala got nearer to the ground. Shippo pointed to the ground and Kagome looked and saw Inuyasha and Kouga having a feud and Sango and Miroku trying to break it up. As soon as Kilala landed Kagome leapt off and ran over to where the fight took place. "Shit Kouga! Why don't you just leave." Was the first thing Kagome heard in a loud scream from Inuyasha. "Sit Inuyasha!" Kagome yelled and with much force Inuyasha hit the ground face first, his silver hair flowing behind him. The wolf yokai with his black hair tied in a pony tail watched the seen with his blue eyes. His grey tail lay still as he couldn't help but laugh hysterically. You had it coming to you mutt." As Kouga had said this Kagome had smacked him across the face. She sighed and mumbled. "Isn't it just wonderful when I return I have to break up a fight." Kouga was busy rubbing his cheek. "Aww Kagome don't feel that way. You know you're my women and I was coming to see you till the mutt got in the way..." Kagome sent a small glare. "Kouga I am not your women. Get that threw your thick skull." Kagome glanced to Inuyasha who had now gotten up and brushed the snow off his red kimono pants and top. "Feh!" Inuyasha glared at Kouga who now was looking to Kagome pleadingly. "But..." Suddenly a howl interrupted him and he looked behind him and went over to Kagome and kissed her hand making her flush a bit. "Kagome I am sorry but I have to go. I will see you later." He said sweetly then darted off with amazing speed, though that was due to the Shikon Jewel Shards in his legs.
Inuyasha flicked his dog ears and his golden eyes were on Kagome. "Why were you blushing!?" He spoke agitatedly. Kagome rolled her eyes but decided not to answer. Beside that a large SLAP was heared and Kagome, Inuyasha, Shippo, and Kilala turned to see Miroku with a red hand mark on his face and the Taijiya, Sango smirking. Sangos dark brown eyes focused on Miroku as her silk kimono and long black hair blow in the wind. "You deserved that hentai." Sango told Miroku who held his staff firmly and watched Sango with his blue eyes.

Meanwhile the Taiyoukai of the western lands. Cold golden eyes watched infront of the demon lord as his large tail was over his right shoulder. His silver heair lye neatly on his hair. It was night by now and the moon illuminated on him and the surroundings and Sesshomaru seemed as if he were an illusion. "Sesshomaru-sama!" Yelled a little girl in and orange and white kimono with a green obi. Her black hair looked nice under the moos gentle glw and she looked up to Sesshomaru with her big brown eyes and grabbed his left sleeve where there was no arm. Rin was about 7 years old. Sesshomaru looked to Rin as she yawned. He nodded only slightly though to let her know he was listening. "Seshomaru-sama. Where are we going?" She decided to ask. "No where important. You should go to sleep." He spoke emotionlessly but this didn't seem to ruin Rin's bright attitude at all. "Ok! Hai." Rin said cheerfully and Sesshomaru lifted her unto the two headed creature, Ah-Un, with his right arm then continued walking once again. The toad yokai, Jaken, followed Sesshomaru and led Ah-Un to follow as well. Rin curled up and was quickly asleep though she shivered a bit from the cold winter air. Sessomaru glanced at the snow for a moment and shook his head in a bit of agitation. He didn't like snow much at all.

By now it was late and dark and Inuyasha and the others had found a nice sized cave to stay in for the night and they had a small fire going. Sango and Miroku had went for a walk leaving behind only their footprints in the snow. Shippo had been sleeping by the fire near Kilala. Inuyasha was in a tree outside and Kagome was looking up at him with her chocolate brown eyes. "Inuyasha has Naraku been a threat well I was gone?" She decided to ask to break the silence. Inuyasha nodded. "Feh... that bastard. We ran into him once but nothing much happened, though he had gotten a Shikon Jewel Shard." Kagome nodded to Inuyasha's reply and sighed. "Inuyasha you must be careful. There's a new moon in a few nights..." Kagome said a bit concerned for Inuyasha for he'd change human then. "Don't worry about me Kagome. If there's any danger I am still gonna fight and I will protect you." He said a bit stubbornly but Kagome smiled faintly. "Thanks... but don't go and get yourself killed!" Inuyasha glanced to Kagome. "Don't worry I wont... I promise." He told her.
