omgoodness if i had to pick a story to reread this would soo be it...from start to finish...pure greatness...i spent hours reading this i hardly slept at all. i am so happy everything worked out in the end, the drama and suspence was good but the passion and romance between kagome and sesshomaru was remarkable. bravo to you!!!

I actually get this comment a lot and yeah it seems well outside the norm that she would go ballistic and want to kill, but what you have to remember is that I delved into a Kagome with a mental illness - depression. Factor in the fact he was hiding things from her and looked suspicious and all that her mind processed with Shippo supposedly turning and finding the fire rat cloth. Under the circumstances I could have sent her to Iraq and she would have found bin Lauden with the state of mind she was in...LOL!

Incredible story though! I almost cried when she had to kill Shippou, and if I were Kagome I would have cried, hugged Shippou, and then DESTROYED HIM FOR BEING SO CRUEL TO ME and for PRETENDING TO DIE.

You know what's hilarious though? I literally laughed out loud when you wrote about Kagome curling her bangs, and then later of Sesshoumaru pushing his out of his face. I had forgotten they had bangs! I used to have bangs just like Kagome's, and to re-live her curling them into a sausage just made me crack up so much.

Ultimately, good story. Thank you for writing it. And whenever I think of your line: "They do it. EEEVVVERRRYWHERE!" I die of laughter. Thanks. : )

Those who overanalyzed it, it was just a story. I didn't write a mystery for you to solve, I wrote a story for you to enjoy and I'm not sure why some of you perhaps read more into it than maybe you should have but it's neither here nor there with me. Interpretation is up to the gentle reader and those of you who liked it, it made continuing it worthwhile. I'm pleased to have presented it.

Posting here has certainly been an experience. I'm currently working on a sequel that will feature Sess and Kag's boys and since this isn't a story about Sess and Kags to that degree even though they'll be in some of it, it obviously won't be posted here.

I totally disagree with the way the discussion went between them and her mother. She has to change the way she is and bend to his ways, but he isn't accepting her by smothering her like he is. Besides she should be totally pi$$ed that he listened in on her conversation with Ayame. He lied to her by not telling her about it. Plus her mother is on his side? She ended up feeling like the @$$ in this chapter and he is being terribly unfair. If he couldn't let her be herself then he shouldn't have taken her to any of those places she would be unsafe in. She is expected to make all the compromises while he should have had to come to her apologizing and promising to try to understand where she is coming from.

Crap! Everything was going so well. Sesshoumaru rescued her, they defeated Shippo and Souten together. Why can't Kagome wait to hear the story after all the affection Sesshoumaru has shown her. Didn't Shippo say that everyone hated Inuyasha, including her friends Sango, Miroku, Kouga (no surprise there) and Shippo himself? Obviously there is something drastic that happened. After all the traveling, the emotional turmoil, the deaths, why not listen for an hour? I hate it when she is an idiot.

This is a really good story, great ideas and all, I'm not going to read the rest of it, a lemon every chapter kinda kills the story for me, I just wanted to let you know it's a great story line.

I originally had this as another long chapter but when I finished it, I realized that I had 15 additional pages of my vacation fluff and I didn't want that so I cut it down. I needed to get to the heart of the matter so I cut back on the fluff and went from there.

Shippo's corruption occurred just 15 minutes before I posted the story on FF.net. I needed a bang up way to end the chapter and hell, why not? Give Shippo a lil sumthin-sumthin; At any rate, glad you all enjoy it. I'm anxious to complete the story so I can move on.

This story will definitely conclude no later than next friday as Chapters 14 and 15 are already done (15 was done by the end of Chapter 2, give or take a few changes to reflect the surprises) and I'm currently writing 13.

He hardly ever gets credit for being sly as a fox, but that is a part of his character! He did steal the shards before, and he is determined to be stronger than anyone else.

Hmmm ... Now, I wonder how Sesshoumaru will handle that betrayal. Not to mention his fears that Kagome will discover his not so clean past.

I just read your story today and what a story it is. I'm not sure what to think. My guess is that Sesshoumaru set up the rouse of pursuing the fang as incentive and an adventure to motivate Kagome to want to "live" again. This would also give him time to woo her, with the added benefits of Kagome being able to see her "son" Shippo and other youkai friends from the past. If this is so, then the calls and some of the business meetings could be about coordinating the next step in the "hunt" for the fang. Sesshoumaru's calling in the big guns, Mrs. Higurashi, to help him bring Kagome back to him was logical and clever. With as much time and effort he has invested in trying to win her, it makes sense to use whatever he can within reason to influence her. He has waited 500 years. As for Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru's battle, if Inuyasha did die he could have been revived with Tensaiga. Kagome needed a kick in the butt to stop her from wasting her life. This whole adventure/love affair has done wonders for her if she would just stop and think about it. She thinks Sesshoumaru is domineering and controlling, and he is, but that is also why she is attracted to him.

grrr, somebody needs to slap Kagome.... >.. I really like the story, its just that I just read the Crucible. and trust me, innocence is not truely bliss....

All I can say is that Sesshoumaru had better be partially possessed! Kagome had better start using her powers more too! Have Shippo set up a target for her at the very least, so she can practice her Hamaya! She then could be of some use in battle!

I have read all 10 of your chapters so far and I must say I am really am enjoying reading your story. It has adventure, drama, violence, romance and lemons and lemons and more lemons. I find myself wanting to read more everytime I get to the end of a chapter. I love how you write. I know there have been moments in my marriage when fights blew up out of nowhere. Tension from other sources can build up until a small thing blows it up into an unneessary fight, or just breeds distrust.

I'm wondering if Inuyasha is the lord who is handling things for Sesshoumaru. No wonder Shippo wouldn't want her to know, or why Sesshoumaru could still feel threatened by her feeling for him. Especially if she was calling his name in her sleep!

I don't care how much I love him, if my husband ever called another woman's name in his sleep, he'd get a real rude awakening.

Nice. I like the chemistry they've got going. Having them get into a relationship in the beginning of the story is a plus for me also. I'm perfectly fine with slow progression in my own stories, but I do love being instantly gratified!

Having them in a relationship gives you the ability to showcase their developed bond from an angle most authors can't get to until the end, then it's just left to the reader's imagination.

THis is a dream come true for Kagome. To find someone who KNOWS who she is, to remeber and bring her back to herself. So why isn't she just thrilled out of her mind? Because depression doesn't just go away with new places and pretty gifts or even great sex.

It is great for the story. It is great for Sesshomaru to have to deal with this and he is doing an admirable job. It is a part of the story but it is not dominating it.

That net of support is slowly being drawn up around her like a warm snuggly blanket. Koga and Shippo help make it strong and with time she will find herself again.

Sesshomaru is strong, charasmatic and forceful with a smattering of tenderness.

Kagome may be in a bit of a slump but I think she is catching up fast.

THis is a great adventure/steamy romance. I love a man (demon) that knows what he wants, goes after it and makes you like it but isn't too overbearing, wel not much anyway.

THe premise of the story is unique and attention grabbing. Please continue as quickly as possible because I am holding my breath. You don't want me to pass out.
