oh wow i'm speachless I don't know if i want to cry or laugh this is one of the best fics i have ever had the joy of reading. I knew you had a something up your sleve to have Kagome help Sesshomaru and when you had Kagome talking to Keade i knew she had the answer.

All it takes is a little practice. Kagome might have been out of the loop for awhile but once you learn something, especially a field that you like, it only take practice to get back in the game and Kagome is a fighter. Ok, so I just started reading this fic and I have to tell you, its amazing! You keep the characterizations so perfect while adding your own bit to make their personalities completely their own. Just the fact that I don't want to strangle Sesshoumaru in the first chapter [like I do in so many other fics] makes me EXTREMELY happy. haha
And the plot is just heart-wrenching. Diseases suck.
I must continue reading if I ever want to catch up!

I can really relate to some concepts in your story. It is very hard to believe that children can be victims of cancer. You never think things like this can happen to your family... However, shortly after I read your story, my baby nephew was diagnosed with A.L.L. in April. Fortunately he was diagnosed with the less aggressive type of leukemia. When the doctors ran test they thought it was AML. This whole experience has been a nightmare. After intensive chemo, and frequent in-patient and out-patient care he is now very healthy and in remission. The treatment however will run a course of three years. I really appreciate you reading my comment. Thank you. While reading your story I learned a lot of helpful information and for that I thank you.

Yeah I was hoping that Kagome might bump into him. It was a fine way to get her to be able to express her thoughts to him. You never answered my question about whether or not it can be determined if the new child is a match for Rin through amneosynthesis. It would be wonderful to know ahead of time if they are compatiable and also if Kagome can talk Nishimoto-san into understanding that Sesshoumaru was having to deal with a life and death situation and help create a new deal with him. Hey, great chapter. I like the tension you're creating between them that is very believable. I hope Sesshomaru can open up to Kagome more, and maybe at least get her opinion on things. Afterall, she didn't work her way up in the company when she worked for him with not knowing a thing or two. I got a question though. Is Sesshomaru going to ask Kagome to move back home, since they are having another child and things are going good in the relationship (except what's going on in the moment)? Hello, my friend, I sense some major Naraku trouble in the air. I just hope that he doesn't cause Kagome to have a scare with her pregnancy. Seshoumaru really does need to open up to her and lean on her trust and love now. After all that's what screwed things up in the beginning. Not all women are fragile just because they're pregnant. The stress of him withdrawing again and keeping her outside of his problems will cause more upset that can lead to trouble with carrying the baby. Stress is a nasty thing. On the POV's, you're doing a great job weaving back and forth without confusion. It's written just like it happens inside your own head in reality. You have a very gifted way of making us see and hear and feel everything the characters are without skipping a beat. Thanks for the info on who does your beta-ing. You are even more talented than what I already knew. I 'm praying that you get all the recognition you deserve for with this fic but how does one go about voting for these things? I read and rate and review but I've never been anywhere else and no one has ever answered that question for me. I am also wondering how your finals are going. Is Nishimoto the person who was in the bookstore before Kaede? It would be nice if Kagome can, in her own innocent way, save the deal between Sess and Nishimoto. I can't wait to find out what happens next with Naraku.

So very touching and yes, I am very pleased at the way you are writing this fic. It's absolutly endearing and I can feel the exact emotions they are going through. As I have said, I know those feelings as if it was just yesterday when in 2005 I thought many times death might take me and leave my family alone. I just adore a man that treats his pregnant wife as if she might break. "The baby might all out"...that was precious. At that point she had to know just how truly he loved her. Her first reaction to hearing the news was so right on too. I have heard so many women say their first reaction was fear and doubt, but one look at Sesshoumaru's face gave her all the reassurance she needed. Oh and hey, remember she thought herself to be a wanton woman for wanting to do the mad,wild,passionate monkey dance so much? Well, it's a fact that when a woman is in the early stages of pregnancy that her hormones are fluxuating so much that she craves sex. I know I did and my husband thought I must have been watching too many soap operas on tv or something. My female doctor told him it was natural and to enjoy the ride while he could because after the baby comes sex takes a back seat more often than not. So, I really liked this chapter. Every chapter is an important chapter when you want to tell a good story. I can't wait to find out if Kagome is actually pregnant and now she can know she concieved a child through love and not necessity. If it were me, I wouldn't have let that sway me anyway. I understand her feelings and all but Rin deserves a chance at life too and that sibling would be loved even more for being able to save it's sisters life. It's all in the way the parents and family teaches them. A child is a gift no matter how or why it's concieved. It's the parent's state of mind that would make it wrong, but that's just my opinion. I asked because he never moved her things from where she kept them and even though her scent was gone she didn't say she smelled another woman's scent in their room. hi! just wanted to say that i really like the fic. i'm happy for some lightheartedness in the last few chapters. it getting pretty depressing there. like how you both have sesshoumaru and kagome contirbute to the end of their marriage. neither is to be at fault or is the bad guy. it makes the reader sympathize with both and wanna see them do well. and rin is so kawaii! and love the mother and son interaction. yeah, a female sesshoumaru can be scary (and amusing at the same time). lol oh and you mentioned emailing the song in the last chapter? can you do that. i'm sure the chapter will stand out more for me if i hear the song. so if it isn't too much trouble can you send it over? again i love the fic and hopefully things won't get too bad for our favorite little family. ^_^

You are quite good at the medical aspect in this fic. Where does your knowledge come from? If you stated earier I don't recall, but this all seems so real. And again, I just adore SessMom. She's everything I was hoping someone would write her to be. The fiasco at the first wedding was fantastic and Kami, himself must have been giving Kagome a wonderful break by sending Rin and the nurse in just in time. Wonderful storyline and well written too. (2) Sesshou's Mom's answer to how are you was 'Ca va.' I don't believe that is a complete sentence. If you wanted to say 'I'm good.' you would say 'Ca va bien'.

This story is really good, I just love it but I was wondering about the condom thing. I know Sesshomaru was hurt when she put the condom on him, but he probably understood her. maybe next time without the condom so they both can really feel each other and the sensation it carries. ^___^

I have to say I usually don't read angst/drama stories, because some are over-the-top depressing and just cruel, but this one is surprisingly enjoyable. Alright, I admit I only checked out the story because of the 'advertised' lemon, but I'm glad I did. The reason I almost didn't read this was because of the summary saying they were divorced, and most of the other stories that do this have their reasons for the divorce as mostly being infidelity on Sesshomaru's part.

I was more than pleased to read a realistic take on why some people get divorce, and it not being adultery. It annoys me to see divorce stories that only use the affair issue, when sometimes it's not even that, and that people just grow apart or can't handle the stress that marriage brings. So, good job with this take on the divorce issue.

Anyway, I'm really liking the story and the way you express their emotions and actions. I swear I could feel Sesshomaru's hurt when she handed him the condom, but I could totally understand Kagome's thoughts on this. The only thing that bothers me is Kagome thinking she can't feel or do anything with her ex-husband. Why does she think it's wrong of her to think so? Lots of exes get along whether or not they have children, and sometimes they get back together because the time is better for them. Whatever, as long as there's a happy ending to this story, I'll be happy. Also, I hope they do have another child together. I mean just because you try to have a child to help another, it doesn't mean it's wrong or you will have that child; so if you are blessed with the child, I say take it as a sign that an 'angel' has been sent to help in anyway it can. Well, that's my opinion. Keep up the good work and update soon (maybe with all of them starting to heal, emotionally and physically).

The "perfect use" birth control failure rate for male condoms - meaning, the couple uses a condom every time they have intercourse, and the condom is used as recommended - is only 2%. "Typical failure rate" - this includes couples who use condoms incorrectly or don't use one every time - is 15%, still a far cry lower than 50%. Again, I'm sorry about hijacking your reviews, but I'd hate to see a misconception like that go unchallenged. Thanks for an entertaining fic, and keep up the good work!

Damn. You know, good job writing this--I mean, your spelling and grammar aren't suffering, but there's something that's irked me throughout the entire 1st chapter. Kagome could be in the running for worst parent. Ever.
How childish does she look when she refuses child support and chooses to work two jobs rather than be beholden to Sesshoumaru? That doesn't allow her much 'Mom' time when she's working such long hours, does it? Moving and not telling Sesshoumaru her new address? He could seek legal action for that. Waiting all that time to tell him about his ONLY daughter's leukemia? How cold-blooded of her.

I just love this story. I agree with them not having a baby together at this moment. With all the stress Kagome is under , its a possibility that she would lose the baby anyways and its also a possibility that the child might not be a match. The way Kagome feels about it is right on for the circumstances involved. Wonder whats going to happen when they wake up. Hoping he will at least be there and not have to go to work, at least not right away. Looking forward to the interesting wake -up next chapter.

Okay now...enough of Kags wallowing in self pitty. Her baby is dying and most mothers, regardless of what it takes, will do anything they can to save that child.
Time is running out on Rin...she doen't have months or years waiting for something good to happen.

Stop making Kags an emotional wreak when she has people that want to help her succeed. She's
not going to be doing her child any good by neglecting her own health. Obviously, Sess still loves her and she him.

Why can't they marry again and produce another child out of that same love they had before? It's not like they're going to discard the baby once its purpose has been served. She is being selfish in thinking of her own emotional status.

Plan B: marry Sess, jump his bones, get pregnant, try the marriage thing for awhile...who knows it may work the second time around because by now they both should have grown up and realized the mistakes thay each made and start from there. She is letting her emotions rule her logical thinking.

Plan C: Let Sess take care of her and the children...set aside some money, get back her career and her life and stop being a whimp. I realize this is hard for her to take that first step but a woman's got to do what a woman's got to do...get out the past and start a new life.

Who knows...they may like. :)

First off, I love this story. I really do. But I noticed a pretty big error. You said that Sesshoumaru went to A&E. A&E is a cable television channel, which wouldn't be prudent to go to when one is alcoholic. It'd be better to say that Sesshoumaru was sent to rehab or attened AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings. Just an FYI.

Really nice chapter 10 was it was nice to see kagome smile after all that she has been through, also the fact that she found out how sesshomaru was taking it after the divorce. I can't wait until they get back together and rin is alright and they can be a real family, and have a happy ending. ^____^

I love your story and understand your views in regards to having a child just to save another. However, in reality, many people look at bringing life to give life and I don't know if you are aware, but in fact there is a true story about a family who their daughter got the same illness and they too had a hard time to find someone that had compatible bone marrow. Their doctor told them the same thing and in the end they had another child and were able to save their daughter as well. Now that family is closer than they ever were. The parents weren't divorced in their situation, but the point is that a parent will always be a parent, no matter if divorced or not. A child's life is precious and any loving family will do anything that is in their power to do so.

I really like this story.it's very compelling and well though out,and it's complexities show a mature hand,or a really good man with a gift for word.

I knew that they will have to conceive a baby in order to save Rin. I read about the procedure some years ago and it is still controversial, but in most cases it was successful.

If Kags & Sess don't want to have sex, there's always artificial insemination or the in vitro fertilization procedure...but sex is better :) for this is suppose to be a romantic story, yes?

You're treading on dangerous ground there. I'm in a medical ethics class and we have been discussing the practice of creating a child to save another. It's fine if it happens naturally, you have a child (non-invetro or test tube) and it happens to be a match, that's okay. But creating one for the sole purpose of serving another, as a bone marrow transplant would do, is unethical. Sure the parents would still love the child, but the purpose of creating the child, especially in this case, was to cure another. It's a very dangerous topic to try to write about. I'm kinda moot on the subject but you can understand why people would have reservations about this case.

Now this is torture I can have fun with. It also cuts through a lot of childishness. heh.

I love this chapter. Sess went to see Kagome at her job and treat her out to some much needed food and reminiscing. It can help their relationship become stronger. Oh my god what is happening with Rin. She is already so weak what is going to happen to this little girl. I hope that she continues to stay strong. This is so sad about Rin's cancer. I know it's a fic but it feels so real because I once worked in a hospital and took care of a little eight year boy with Lukemia. He was the most adorable lilttle person. He was always cheerful on his good days and followed me around pushing his IV stand around with him. I had worked second shift and when I came to work I always went straight to his room to say hi...then one day I came in and his bed was all cleaned up and everything removed, I knew in my heart that he was gone. The nurse on duty told me that he passed away not long after I had left off my shift the evening prior. I cried so much and could hardly focus on my job that night. He was very much missed. That was over forty years ago...his name was Kevin and I still think about him. *starting to cry* :(

Excellent story...keep up the great writing. I have a feeling that, albeit it's still controversial, Kags and Sess might have to come together and conceive another child in order to save Rin's life with the cells from her new brother or sister. But hopefully, this baby will be conceived from love and not just because of what it can possibly do. :)

Aww. Poor Rin! She really doesn't deserve this torture. I really like ur fic. There's no crazy passionate get togethers or worlds collapsating if they see each other. Its very down to earth and sensable beginning. I hope to read more.

I really love this story. Great prologue and first chapter starting out. I can't wait to see what you write next. I myself have lost a relative to cancer so this story has really piqued my interest. But I must add that I have never seen a child suffer from cancer only what I see on the TV and that at times makes me question many things. How does a parent deal with their child having cancer? They probably have their good days and their bad. But no child should have to suffer like that. I wish you the best of luck writing this story and I will continue to read this story. Please continue to write it and I will await your next update. Thank you.

This story deals with some reall life issues. If find it intense at times but I really am enjoying reading this story. Anytime you are reading a story dealing with a sick child your heart has no chose but to feel for that child. Also to see the pain the parents are going through because they feel helpless. I look forward to reading how this story plays out.

Please do continue your story. It has piqued my attention and would love to read more.
