Kagome Knelt by the crying child. Slowly taking her into her arms. "Child, where is your mother?" She asked gently. The crying child looked into the heavnly face of the goddess. "I....I don't have a mother," She spoke softly. "My family was murdered, so i ran. Now," she said a her eyes welled with tears. "Now i'm alone and lost." Kagome nodded. She helped the girl to her feet and stood beside her smiling. "I shall take you in as my own. If you permit it." She looked to the goddess and smiled while tears still trickled down her face. "Yes, yes mother." "What is your name my child?" "Rin." Kagome smiled once more at her newly found child. She would protect her from this day on as she would her own kin.
