A submission of mine for SessKag's One Hundred Candles contest on DeviantArt~ Set in an AU world, and future fanfic of mine ^-^
A ghostly tale of eternal love. Here, Kagome is the Shikon personified. 'Shikon' means '4 souls', but if the 'Shi' is spelled differently, it could be spelled as 'Death'. So (baring proper grammar, sorry!) Kagome is the Soul of Death.
Sesshomaru's name usually means 'destroyer of life', so,look! Another death!

Quick background on this:
-Kagome was somehow injured and was dying
-Sesshomaru wanted to bond them together for the possibility of saving her, but Kagome knew it was too late as she's lost too much blood
-She instead decides to infuse her spirit on his person by imprinting her blood on his kimono, hence the red-on-white pattern. The flowers...because Kagome didn't want the blood to remain as blood?(...eh, that works!)
